My cousin is becoming a legend.

Our family has fallen on hard times. My favorite cousin left home at fifteen to make his way in the world. Ten years later, he returned to the village in a sorry state. He said he had fought alongside General Tullius, and although the entire army was wiped out, he had miraculously survived. But we only thought of him as a deserter; how could he possibly have such an honor? He said he had formed a mercenary group, and although it was severely damaged and disbanded by a superhuman, he had miraculously survived. But we only thought of him as a despicable bandit, wondering what evil deeds he had committed. He said he had done great business in Derekley, and although it was intercepted by nobles, he had miraculously survived. But we only thought of him as a moneylender's lackey; he was lucky not to be executed, let alone dare to tarnish the reputation of the nobility. In short, my cousin was the good-for-nothing in the eyes of that relative. He was glib, ambitious, and seemed destined to rot away his entire life. But recently, he has changed. My cousin... seems to be becoming a legend.
