As the cockpit begins its descent, you finally regain your voice, "You...you're crazy?"
“They can’t see.” Itachi slowly straightened your clothes, his fingertips deliberately brushing against your collarbone.
As the cockpit landed, you eagerly rushed out of the hatch, while Weasel calmly followed behind, his black stand-up collar concealing a suspicious bite mark on his lip.
Deidara's blond hair exploded in a dazzling halo under the neon lights. He practically shoved through several passersby to get to you, his sky-blue pupils contracting sharply as his gaze swept over your disheveled collar, swollen lips, and fresh bite marks on the side of your neck.
The boy's chest heaved violently, and clay seeped from between his fingers, forming a twisted shape in his palm.
"What are you doing?" You reflexively take a half step back.
"I want to call you all the time!"
He was saying something capricious, but his ears were so red they were practically bleeding. His left hand, hidden behind his back, was tightly clutching the rabbit-shaped cotton candy he had just bought; the candy was already deformed from being squeezed, just like his chaotic heartbeat.
You rub your temples in frustration, and everything that happened inside the glass cabin of the Ferris wheel flashes through your mind: the scalding palms of the weasel, the lingering breath, and the desires you dare not think about deeply.
"Leave me alone!"
You turn to leave, but Deidara suddenly grabs your wrist. The clay in the boy's palm wets your skin, carrying the burning sensation unique to saltpeter.
In that split second, a dark shadow appeared between you like a raven's feather.
Itachi's Akatsuki robe brushed against Deidara's hand. He hadn't even activated his Sharingan; he simply used his height advantage to cast a shadow over Deidara.
"What did you do to that wicked woman?!"
A furious question exploded in the night sky. As Deidara grabbed Itachi by the collar, clay spiders swarmed out from his sleeves, but Sasori's chakra threads moved even faster, the gleaming threads precisely wrapping around his wrists.
"Have you had enough?" Scorpion's voice was colder than the night wind.
When the mask of Hiruko turned towards you, it paused almost imperceptibly for a second, and he saw your swollen, thin lips.
Deidara broke free of his restraints, his chest heaving violently. He stared intently into Itachi's unfathomable eyes and suddenly felt a suffocating pain.
The unspoken questions churned in his throat: "Where did you touch her? What gave you the right?"
"how about you?"
Itachi's question was like a mirror, reflecting all of Deidara's hidden thoughts.
The boy's mouth was agape, his ears ringing. He remembered his rapid breathing when he pinned you to the ground, the teeth marks he left on your neck, and the pounding in his chest that felt like it was about to explode every time he got close to you.
The night breeze swept cherry blossoms between the two of them, and Shisui appeared beside you without you noticing, his gentle smile carrying a warning, "Lord Tanuki is tired." His hand, which was lightly resting on your waist, made Itachi and Deidara squint at the same time.
You suddenly feel extremely tired, turn around and walk towards the hotel, saying, "Don't follow me."
The click of the door lock opening was particularly crisp in the quiet corridor. Your finger was still hovering over the light switch when you saw those Rinnegan eyes glowing eerily in the darkness.
Nagato sat upright in the center of the sofa, her fingers interlaced and resting on her chin, her red hair gleaming with a cool sheen in the moonlight.
"Looks like you had a memorable night."
Nagato's voice was lower than usual, and the patterns of his Rinnegan slowly rotated in the darkness, taking in the bite marks on your neck, your slightly swollen thin lips, and the unnatural wrinkles at your collar.
As he stood up, the hem of his robe swept across the water glass on the coffee table, creating dangerous ripples on the surface.
Your back tensed instantly, and your heel slammed into the door with a dull thud.
Nagato's approaching steps carried an oppressive chakra surge, and the floor trembled slightly with each step.
"I don't want to play these games with you." Your voice trembled almost imperceptibly as he pressed your waist against the windowsill. The night wind rushed in from behind, causing your hair to intertwine.
Nagato suddenly reached out and grabbed your collar, causing your collar to tilt and revealing more ambiguous marks.
"Don't want to?" A dark current surged in his Rinnegan. "What about Deidara? Sasori? Itachi?" With each name he spoke, the pressure on his hand increased. "You seem to accept them all without hesitation."
"Ha..." You suddenly chuckled, the sound like shards of broken glass.
Before Nagato could react, he was spun around and pinned to the ground. You straddled his waist, your hair falling onto his nose, surrounded by the smell of fireworks from the Ferris wheel.
The most terrifying thing is that he can't move.
The Rinnegan can see the unfamiliar chakra surging within you, an energy even more violent than that of a tailed beast.
Cool fingertips brushed against his eyelids. "Do you like me, dear Nagato?"
Chapter 154 Amusement Park (11)
"...I like it." This confession seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, carrying a contradictory mix of resentment and devotion.
Your laughter grew louder, and as you leaned over, your black hair fell like a curtain, enveloping you in a private space.
The kiss that landed on his eyelids was as light as a feather, yet it caused the flow of chakra throughout Nagato's body to come to a standstill.
"You should be grateful to have these eyes, otherwise I wouldn't be willing to take the initiative."
When you stepped back, Nagato was still in the suppressed position, his Akatsuki robes scattered messily on the floor like a withered bellflower.
For the first time, a look of bewilderment appeared in his eyes; he was as helpless as a young man experiencing his first love.
"It's time to leave my room, Lord Nagato~" You sat on the edge of the bed, propping your face up with your hand, and deliberately used your toes to flick Nagato's fallen headband, the metal object drawing a shiny arc in the air.
Nagato practically fled in panic, not even bothering to pick up the vase he knocked over by the door, his ear tips peeking out from his red hair were so red they looked like they were dripping blood.
Your unrestrained laughter echoed from the end of the corridor, a laugh that seemed to follow him like a curse throughout the entire hotel.
Wandering alone on the edge of the bustling crowd, you deliberately avoid the most popular stalls, wandering through the fragrant streets like a lost soul.
Takoyaki! Freshly made takoyaki!
"Try it, miss, our dumplings are made with a family secret recipe!"
You politely shake your head and smile at the samples handed to you. The experiences of the past few days have made you cautious, as you might easily get caught up in some inexplicable entanglement.
You're already overwhelmed by the affection from the other members of Akatsuki, and all you want right now is a moment of peace.
"Why won't you sell me the couple's milk tea? Are you looking down on me?!"
A sharp female voice pierced through the noise and caught your attention. Looking up, you saw a woman with long, reddish-brown curly hair standing in front of a milk tea stall with her hands on her hips, looking as fierce as a cat with its fur standing on end.
The woman wore a form-fitting blue strapless dress that accentuated her enviable curves. Her emerald green eyes burned with fury, and her distinctive crisscross hairstyle swayed slightly with her agitated movements.
The stall owner, a middle-aged man, had fine beads of sweat on his forehead. He explained with a wry smile, "Couple's milk tea can only be purchased by couples, so please don't make things difficult for our little stall."
His voice was exhausted, clearly indicating that this was not the first time he had faced such questioning.
"What do you mean! Are you mocking me for being single?" The woman clenched her fists so tightly that her knuckles turned white. There were faint signs of chakra fluctuations in the air, and the surrounding temperature seemed to rise a few degrees.
"Uh, that's not what I meant." The stall owner hurriedly waved his hand, but only received an even sharper glare from Mei Terumi.
Mei Terumi looked around and saw couples holding hands on the street, some sharing an ice cream, others feeding each other takoyaki, their sweetness was nauseating.
These images pierced her heart like needles, and the resentment of being single almost materialized. She was successful in her career and powerful, but she was repeatedly frustrated in her love life, and even a cup of milk tea was subject to discrimination.
Just then, her gaze fell upon you, who were standing not far away.
The black-haired girl stood alone, her delicate, doll-like face standing out under the light.
Mei Terumi's eyes lit up instantly, and a bold idea flashed into her mind.
You keenly sensed someone approaching you and subconsciously frowned, but when Mei Terumi rushed in like a gust of wind and casually put her arm around your shoulder, you didn't push her away immediately.
Up close, this woman was even more beautiful. Her long, reddish-brown hair exuded a faint citrus scent, and her emerald green eyes were like the finest jade. A small beauty mark on the corner of her lips added a touch of sexiness to her.
"Do me a favor, pretty girl," Mei Terumi whispered in your ear.
Before you could even respond, Mei Terumi had already put her arm around your shoulder and strode back to the bubble tea stall. "One couple's bubble tea! Thank you!"
She raised her chin and announced, her tone filled with unquestionable confidence, while her fingers tapped lightly on your shoulder in a defiant manner.
The stall owner froze, his gaze shifting between you two. "Excuse me, sir," he said, "I'll repeat myself: couple's milk tea can only be purchased by couples!"
"Stop talking nonsense! Do you still discriminate against two women dating?" Mei Terumi finally lost her temper and raised her voice, attracting the attention of passersby.
Several children in line covered their mouths in surprise and whispered among themselves.
You blinked, not expecting things to develop this way. You could have easily broken free, but for some reason, you found Mei Terumi's self-righteous willfulness amusing.
Moreover... she was too close; the scent of her exquisite perfume blended with her own fragrance, creating a unique charm that made you momentarily forget to refuse.
The stall owner's face flushed red and then paled, and he stammered, "Of...of course." He hurriedly began making milk tea, occasionally stealing glances at the "special" couple, clearly taken aback by this sudden turn of events.
Mei Terumi smugly pulled out her wallet, deliberately slapping the banknotes on the table to make a crisp sound as she paid. "That's more like it!" she said, taking the milk tea decorated with a heart-shaped straw and taking a defiant sip.
"Here, yours." Mei Terumi shoved another cup of milk tea into your hand, then suddenly leaned close to your face. "Thanks. I was just curious about the difference between this couple's milk tea and regular milk tea."
After saying that, she waved her hand gracefully, hummed a little tune, turned and left, her long reddish-brown hair swaying behind her, and quickly disappeared into the bustling crowd.
You stand there, holding that cup of couple's milk tea in your hands, feeling a little dazed. Everything that just happened was like a sudden summer downpour, coming and going quickly.
The gazes of passersby around you are like an invisible spider web—some are curious stares, some are kind smiles, and some are undisguised astonishment.
"Look, it's that girl..."
"Two girls, how bold..."
"But they're such a good match..."
Mei Terumi's mood was as sweet as the milk tea in her hand. She hummed a little tune, her long reddish-brown hair swaying slightly in the night breeze. She savored the taste of the hard-won couple's milk tea on her tongue. Although the method was a bit...unusual, the result was satisfying.
Just then, a tall figure came into view, with shark-like gray-blue skin, sharp teeth, and the iconic Samehada sword on its back.
Mei Terumi abruptly stopped, her aura instantly shifting from pleasure to murderous intent.
"Hoshigaki... Kisame." Her voice was extremely low, her right hand already resting on the sword at her waist.
The bustling street seemed to be silenced at that moment.
Kisame slowly turned around, a hint of surprise flashing in his small eyes, before he regained his nonchalant demeanor. "I never expected to run into you here, Lady Terumi Mei." His voice was hoarse, like sandpaper scraping. "It's truly...an honor."
Mei Terumi's fingertips were already condensing into a small ball of boiling water vapor, and her emerald green eyes were as cold as polar ice. "Kisame, do you still dare to show your face in the Land of Water?" Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between her teeth.
Kisame shrugged, the bandages on Samehada loosening slightly with the movement. "It's been a long time since I've been back, I've missed it." He looked around, his gaze sweeping over the passersby who were retreating in fright. "Especially the takoyaki here, you can't get this authentic stuff at Akatsuki's base."
"Stop grinning at me!" Mei Terumi's voice suddenly rose, instantly increasing the temperature several degrees, and the ice cream on several nearby stalls began to melt. "Why did you defect?"
Kisame's expression finally turned serious. He tilted his head slightly and looked up at the night sky, which was reddened by neon lights. "Lady Terumi Mei, you should know what Kirigakure is like." His voice lowered. "Under the shroud of the 'Village of Blood Mist,' I don't want to go back."
The word pierced Mei Terumi's heart like a knife, causing her to waver slightly. Dark memories surfaced before her eyes: the graduation exam at the Ninja Academy was a brutal killing spree, the trust between comrades was thinner than paper, and the entire village was shrouded in fear and bloodshed.
"That's all in the past," she said through gritted teeth, the Boil Release chakra in her hands weakening slightly. "The current Kirigakure..."
"Some things, once you take that step, there's no going back." Kisame interrupted her, a resolute glint in his eyes, yet also an indescribable sense of desolation.
The air between them seemed to freeze. Mei Terumi's hand tightened and loosened on the hilt of her sword, then tightened again. She had a responsibility to capture the rogue ninja; but as a former colleague, she understood Kisame's choice better than anyone else.
"How have you been all these years?" Finally, she asked a question that even surprised herself.
Kisame visibly paused for a moment, then grinned, revealing his sharp teeth. "At least I can find something, something I find meaningful." His gaze suddenly shifted past Mei Terumi's shoulder, his eyes softening instantly. "Like now..."
"You wicked woman! What are you doing here? And you're carrying milk tea, who gave it to you?"
Deidara's blond hair burst into view, blocking the way like an enraged lion dog. His blue eyes were fixed on the cup of milk tea, as if it were some dangerous ninja tool.
"What does it have to do with you!"
"Hmph, there's definitely something wrong!" Deidara's fingers began to unconsciously rub the clay. "You wait, I'll definitely find out! Hmm!"
You rolled your eyes and turned to leave, but Deidara immediately chased after you, his golden ponytail swinging wildly behind him. "You wicked woman! Don't even think about shaking me off!"
The chase between the two caused a commotion in the crowd. A cotton candy vendor hurriedly dodged, and the pink cloud in his hand stuck to Hidan's face as he passed by.
"My Lord Evil God! This is... quite sweet?"
Yahiko, who was checking the itinerary with Nagato in the distance, suddenly stopped. The orange-haired youth narrowed his eyes. He clearly saw Deidara's fingers "accidentally" brush against the back of your hand when he tried to snatch the milk tea.
"Excuse me for a moment." Yahiko's voice suddenly turned cold. Nagato watched his departing figure, his Rinnegan turning slightly.
In a few blinks, Yahiko positioned himself between you and Deidara, his towering figure forming a wall between you, yet a flawless smile graced his face. "So lively?"
"Yahiko!" You hid behind him as if he were your savior, but you didn't notice that the orange-haired youth scratched your palm with his fingertips as he took the milk tea.
Mei Terumi leaned against a cherry blossom tree by the street, her slender fingers gently swirling the cup of couple's milk tea. Faint lip prints remained on the pink straw, and every sip of the sweet flavor brought her joy.
“This takoyaki is really good,” Kisame chewed the food in his hand, his sharp teeth easily tearing open the golden skin. “It’s much better than the one near the Akatsuki base.”
Mei Terumi glanced at him, a slight smile playing on her lips. "I never thought a rogue ninja like you would miss the snacks from your hometown."
"Rogue ninjas are human too," Kisame shrugged, his Samehada trembling slightly behind him. "Besides, the seafood from the Land of Water is indeed—"
Before he finished speaking, a commotion suddenly erupted not far away.
The crowd scattered and then gathered again like a school of startled fish, forming a chaotic circle.
The sharp sounds of arguing pierced through the noisy background, and one could vaguely hear an excited boy's voice and a girl's indifferent response.
