Summary

This is the first part of "The Human History of Those Gods," titled "A Momentary Sequence." Liang Song, a naive and wealthy second-generation heir, draws a challenge in a game of adventure and embarks on a solo trek along the Ai Mang Mountain PT402 hiking trail in early spring. Unexpectedly, he encounters a blizzard and an earthquake. In his perilous journey, he meets Li Jushuang (the female protagonist), a child resembling a mountain spirit with a black cat, living on a cliff. After several twists and turns, he brings this mountain spirit into modern society and gradually becomes involved in a fantastical world where humans, gods, ghosts, demons, and other strange creatures coexist. All gods, ghosts, and strange creatures must possess a Life Contract issued by the Li Tan to roam the human world. Within the forbidden area of the mountains and seas, they operate according to the level of their Life Contract, following the "Green Mountain Laws," the "Shangqing Bone Marrow Spiritual Text Ghost Laws," and the "Supreme True Secret Book for Helping the Country and Saving the People." After entering the human world, Li Jushuang gradually adapts to its various aspects, and her identity becomes clearer. However, her past life entanglement with Liang Song remains a mystery. A tale of past and present lives, a realistic framework of Eastern fantasy, family feuds, murders, love, hate, and resentment—all intertwined. This work uses serious literary methods to reconstruct the foundations of Eastern fantasy, featuring an open world structure that welcomes endless fan fiction. All plot points are embedded within history, philosophy, and traditional culture, with almost every event having its source and every word meticulously researched, making it a rare gem in the Eastern fantasy genre.
