Hogwarts Summoning Guide

Chapter 85 The Prophecy of the Three Demon Kings

Harry's excitement over winning the Quidditch Cup lasted for at least a week. In fact, it wasn't just him; after the match, reporters and scouts interviewed him and Wood. Wood accepted the scouts' invitation. The England team's performance in recent years had been far from ideal, and they needed fresh blood like Wood to join them. Wood would graduate in June and would go to London to participate in the England team's open selection.

After careful consideration, Harry declined the invitation to join the youth training team. After all, he was only a third-year student and wanted to study at Hogwarts for a few more years. It wasn't that he suddenly had a thirst for knowledge like Hermione, but rather that he had already set his own goal: to become a learned and powerful wizard like Bai Lin, and then to become an Auror.

Even without Bai Lin's appearance, Harry would have become the head of the Auror's office in 2007, but Bai Lin's appearance clearly brought this destiny to fruition sooner.

Speaking of fate, it was supposed to be May, more than a month later, during the last divination exam, that Professor Trelawney made a rare prophecy, seemingly out of a trance. It also seemed that the appearance of Whitescale and the fact that Peter, who was supposed to meet Voldemort, had died had drastically changed the fates of some people.

Professor Trelawney, who was giving a divination lesson to Gryffindor students, was just launching into a long-winded explanation of the crystal ball in front of Hermione, which had driven Hermione from discomfort to irritation, and from irritation to anger. Just as Hermione was about to storm off with her textbook, Professor Trelawney suddenly leaned back and landed directly on Dean's desk, completely unaware that he had knocked Dean's crystal ball to the ground and shattered it.

Professor Trelawney trembled violently, his eyes rolled back, and he let out a loud, piercing scream: "Tonight!"

Everyone stared in horror at Professor Trelawney's out-of-control state; his appearance was so bizarre and terrifying that everyone forgot whether they should call the school doctor for emergency treatment.

At this moment, Professor Trelawney spoke again, his voice sharp, harsh, and trembling:

The three great demon kings are about to appear!

The Dark Lord lay there all alone, without friends... but his servants had broken free of their chains and would join him tonight...

Another dark lord was confessing his sins atop a tower when he was possessed by an evil spirit that descended from the sky...

The third demon king is the most mysterious; he will appear with the flames of a dragon, and countless corpses of wizards and Muggles will pile up at his feet…

Professor Trelawney's head drooped, making a gurgling sound.

Then, just as the terrified students were looking at each other in bewilderment, she suddenly raised her head again and nimbly climbed up from Dean's desk.

"I'm sorry, my dear children," Trelawney mumbled, "I didn't sleep well last night, I think I just dozed off..."

Then she saw the crystal ball shattered on the ground and almost jumped up: "Oh! Dean! You actually broke your crystal ball!!!"

Dean: "I..."

Harry thought Dean was definitely going to swear, the kind of swearing.

A divination class passed by inexplicably. Everyone was talking about Professor Trelawney's prophecy when he suddenly convulsed. Of course, most of the students—including Hermione—believed that Professor Trelawney had a mental problem or was hallucinating. The other half of the students took the three Dark Lords as the latest meme and started greeting each other with "I bet you're the third Dark Lord, prepare to die!"

When Professor Trelawney uttered the words "Dark Lord," Harry felt a distinct, burning pain in his forehead. The clear, hot sensation made Harry think that perhaps what Professor Trelawney was seeing wasn't a hallucination…

In the past, Harry might have kept these feelings to himself, or after thinking about them for half a month, he might have written to Sirius. However, today, after a little thought, Harry came to the Hufflepuff classroom and waited for Whitescale to finish class.

"You mean Professor Trelawney said there would be three demon kings?" Bai Lin asked, stroking his chin.

"Professor, perhaps you also find this absurd..." Harry said somewhat embarrassedly, beginning to regret taking it seriously.

"No, this is not absurd. I told you before that although Professor Trelawney seems a bit... special, she does possess a very rare talent for prophecy. I don't think she's hallucinating," Bai Lin said earnestly.

Bai Lin took out his notebook and wrote down the prophecy that Harry relayed:

The first Dark Lord lay there all alone... His servant broke free of his shackles and found him (this should be Voldemort, who at this point was probably still a ball of flesh).

The second demon king is repenting on the tower... (This... could it be referring to Grindelwald? He must have been over a hundred years old at this point...)

The third demon king, wielding the flames of a dragon… (Is this Daenerys Targaryen? A crossover with A Song of Ice and Fire?)

Bai Lin muttered to himself and walked away on his own. Harry scratched his head, thinking, "Could this be some kind of new spell that can drive someone crazy just by telling the professor?"

Bai Lin returned to the faculty lounge, wrote the prophecy down again on paper, and pondered countermeasures.

To be honest, Bai Lin wasn't worried about the first villain, Voldemort. The servant who found him was definitely not Peter Parker, but most likely Barty Crouch Jr.

Without Bai Lin's arrival, Peter would have been the one to babysit, and Barty Jr. would have impersonated Mad-Eye Moody. However, Bai Lin's appearance would definitely cause a major change to their plans. First, it seems that several Death Eaters, including Barty Jr., had escaped from Azkaban ahead of schedule. If they still wanted to stick to their original plan of using the Goblet of Fire to teleport Harry to Voldemort's side, they would need another "babysitter."

Secondly, if I continue to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, then Moody will be out of the picture, and Barty might just ambush me and transform into my likeness.

No wonder it's said that being a Black Defense Department teacher is a high-risk profession; no one can do it for more than a year. Damn, Bai Lin isn't immortal anymore. Little Barty is ruthless; he even killed his own father. Bai Lin decided to give this great opportunity of being ambushed and locked up to the "kind-hearted" Mad-Eye Moody.

Having made up his mind, Bai Lin immediately went to Dumbledore and said that he needed to focus more on his research on magical creatures (implying that he needed to take care of the business of the Magical Zoo), so he would not be able to continue teaching the Black Defense class next semester.

Dumbledore gave Bai Lin a knowing look. He had already planned to invite his recently retired friend Moody over, but he didn't know how to tell Bai Lin. This was perfect; it gave Bai Lin a favor, so why not?

Dumbledore pretended to advise Bai Lin to focus more on teaching and nurturing students. Bai Lin subtly inquired which professor was most knowledgeable in geography, and Dumbledore recommended Mrs. Pince from the library.

Bai Lin: "I..."
