"Do we really look like your original relatives?" Wang asked Molan curiously.

"Yes, you and my grandma had grandpa, dad, and mom, but back then I didn't have any brothers or sisters, only a younger brother and sister. And there were no uncles or great-uncles either. I've come here, and I wonder how my family is doing in that other time and space?" Mo Lan's voice trailed off. The deep longing for her loved ones in that time and space gnawed at her heart.

That sorrowful expression, those tears like pearls—it pierced Wang's heart. She reached out and stroked Mo Lan's hair, softly saying, "The original Lan'er is gone. I can feel your feelings for me. From now on, you will be my Lan'er, okay?"

"Really? You're willing to accept me? To let me be your granddaughter?" Mo Lan looked up at Wang Shi in surprise and asked.

"Mm," Madam Wang nodded in response. That "Mm" had a thick nasal tone, yet it untied the knot between her and Mo Lan, connecting their hearts and forging a lifelong bond between grandmother and granddaughter!
