Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 87 Desperate Situation

Sophie nearly dropped the tray in her hands. Her eyes widened as she stared at the black-clad man lying on the ground, his life hanging in the balance, then at Li Jin, who looked completely indifferent. She stammered, "You...you killed someone?"

Li Jin waved his hand impatiently, "Don't make a fuss. This isn't Earth. This is another world. Do you understand the law of the jungle? Besides, this guy tried to kill me. I was acting in self-defense!" As he spoke, he kicked the man in black, as if to confirm whether he had really passed out.

Sophie put down the tray and carefully walked to the man in black, crouching down to check his breath. "He's still breathing..." she breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Li Jin with worry, "Even so, you can't just kill people like that. What if you get caught?"

"Caught? Who dares to catch me?" Li Jin said arrogantly. "I'm the chosen one, destined for greatness! Besides, this is my territory!" He pointed to his head. "With the system in hand, I own the world!"

Sophie felt somewhat exasperated by Li Jin's blind confidence. She stood up and said, "Even if you have a system, you can't just act recklessly. We need to figure out how to handle this..." She glanced at the man in black, "At least hide him, right?"

Li Jin scoffed, "Why hide him? Just leave him here as a warning to others! Let those petty scoundrels know that I'm not someone to be trifled with!"

Sophie was about to try to persuade him again when suddenly, the man in black on the ground opened his eyes abruptly, a sinister glint in them. With lightning speed, he pulled a black, spherical object from his pocket and slammed it hard into the ground.

"Oh no!" Sophie exclaimed, instinctively pushing Li Jin away.

With a loud "bang!", the black sphere exploded, and a thick black mist instantly filled the entire room.

Li Jin was pushed to the ground by Su Fei. Before he could react to what was happening, he felt dizzy and his vision went black. He lost consciousness.

When Li Jin woke up again, he found himself in an unfamiliar environment. It was a dark and damp cave, with green moss growing on the walls and emitting a nauseating musty smell.

"Damn, where am I?" Li Jin struggled to sit up, feeling sore all over and his head was spinning.

"You're awake?" A cold voice came from the cave entrance.

Li Jin looked up and saw Lin Na standing at the cave entrance with a sinister smile on her face.

"Lin Na! It's you!" Li Jin said through gritted teeth, "Why did you bring me here?"

Lin Na slowly walked into the cave, looking down at Li Jin with a mocking gaze. "What for? Of course, it's..." she paused deliberately, then said, enunciating each word clearly, "to make you... wish you were dead!"

Linna clapped her hands, and two men in black walked in from outside the cave, carrying various instruments of torture.

Li Jin shuddered as he looked at the gleaming instruments of torture. He realized then that he had truly bitten off more than he could chew this time.

"What...what do you want to do?" Li Jin's voice trembled slightly.

Linna sneered, "Don't be in such a hurry, the show... has only just begun!"

Over the next few days, Li Jin experienced the darkest moment of his life. Lin Na's methods were extremely cruel; she tortured Li Jin with all sorts of instruments of torture, leaving him covered in wounds and on the verge of death.

However, no matter how Linna tormented him, Li Jin never gave in. He gritted his teeth, enduring unimaginable pain, with only one belief in his heart: I'm a keyboard warrior, I'll never admit defeat!

One night, Li Jin was awakened by a strange noise. He opened his eyes and found a figure standing in front of him.

"Are you...Sophie?" Li Jin asked weakly.

Sophie nodded, her eyes filled with worry and heartache. "Li Jin, how are you?"

"I...I'm fine..." Li Jin forced a smile. "You...why are you here?"

"I'm here to save you!" Sophie said, taking out a dagger and cutting the ropes binding Li Jin.

"Quick, let's go!" Sophie helped Li Jin up. "I've found the exit, we need to get out of here quickly!"

The two stumbled and fell out of the cave. However, as soon as they emerged, they found themselves surrounded.

Linna stood at the very front of the encirclement, a mocking smile on her face. "Trying to run? Not so easy!"

Li Jin and Su Fei stood back to back, warily watching the men in black around them. He knew that this time, they probably really couldn't escape...
