Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 77 Surprise Attack and Reversal

Sophie stood in the middle of the men in black, her expression indifferent, her eyes devoid of any former brilliance, instead filled with icy hostility. "Li Jin, long time no see," she said coldly, as if speaking to a stranger.

Li Jin's heart sank, a chill running from his feet to the top of his head. He stared at Sophie in disbelief, as if he were seeing her for the first time. "Sophie, you... how could you have become like this?"

Sophie sneered. "It's turned out like this? All thanks to you, Li Jin. You brought not only technology and knowledge, but also chaos and destruction!" She pointed to Old Wang's festering wound. "This is the 'gift' you brought!"

Li Jin was speechless; he couldn't refute Sophie's words. Jack's crystal ball was indeed brought by him, and the corruption of dark energy was also caused by him.

"Sophie, let me explain, it's not what you think..."

"An explanation?" Sophie interrupted him. "What's there to explain? The facts are right in front of us! You kept saying you wanted to help us, but what did you bring? Only disaster!"

Xiao Mei stepped forward, blocking Li Jin's path, and glared at Su Fei. "What makes you say that? Li Jin has been trying his best to help us; he even risked his life to find the antidote!"

Sophie glanced at her dismissively. "Xiao Mei, you're so naive. Do you really think he cares about us? He's just using us, using the world!"

"Enough!" Li Jin roared, interrupting Sophie's accusations. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. "Sophie, I know you've misunderstood me, but now is not the time to argue about this. Old Wang's injuries can't be delayed any longer; we must get the Moon Spirit Flower as soon as possible."

Sophie scoffed, "Moon Spirit Flower? You think I'll let you succeed? Men in black, get them!"

The men in black swarmed forward, surrounding Li Jin and his companions. A fierce battle was inevitable.

Li Jin brandished his black longsword, its blade flashing as he repelled the approaching men in black one by one. His heart was filled with anger and helplessness; he never imagined he would end up fighting Sophie.

Zhang Hao hid behind the boulder, trembling. "Damn, this is so exciting! It's even more exciting than playing VR games!" he said, while secretly taking out his phone to record this "wonderful" scene.

Xiao Mei, carrying Xiao Bai, nimbly weaved among the men in black, searching for an opportunity to break through. Xiao Bai was not to be outdone; it opened its little mouth and exhaled streams of icy air, freezing the approaching men in black into ice sculptures.

Despite his injuries, Old Wang swung his cane and knocked several men in black to the ground. However, he was old and weak, and soon found himself at a disadvantage.

Seeing this, Li Jin felt anxious. He had to end this battle as soon as possible, otherwise Old Wang's life would be in danger. He took a deep breath, mobilized the energy within his body, and a dazzling light erupted from his black longsword.

"Get out of my way!" Li Jin roared, unleashing a sharp sword aura that sent all the men in black around him flying.

Sophie's expression changed slightly; she hadn't expected Li Jin to be so powerful. But she didn't back down; instead, it fueled her fighting spirit even more.

"Li Jin, I won't let you succeed!" A dagger gleaming with cold light appeared in Sophie's hand, and she lunged at Li Jin in a flash.

Li Jin dared not be careless. He raised his sword to parry, and the two weapons clashed, producing a piercing metallic clang.

Sophie's attacks were fierce and swift, while Li Jin responded calmly. The two exchanged blows, locked in a fierce and evenly matched battle.

At this moment, a sudden change occurred.

The giant spider suddenly let out a sharp hiss, its massive body trembled violently, and then it crashed to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Everyone was stunned, not understanding what had happened.

As the dust settled, a figure slowly crawled out from under the giant spider's corpse.

She was a tall woman dressed in a black bodysuit. She had long, fiery red hair, scarlet eyes, and a wicked smile on her lips.

"Looks like I've arrived just in time." The woman licked her lips, her eyes fixed greedily on the black longsword in Li Jin's hand. "I want this sword."
