Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 76 Moon Spirit Flower and the Spider Queen

The black energy, like a greedy beast, devoured Jack completely, leaving only a wisp of black smoke that emitted a nauseating sulfurous smell. A tense atmosphere filled the air; no one dared to breathe, as if what had just happened was nothing but a nightmare.

Li Jin slumped to the ground, staring at the spot where Jack had disappeared, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He never imagined that he would be outmaneuvered by a competitor in the real world, almost causing a major disaster.

"Jack, that idiot, went through all that trouble just to prove he's a loser?" Zhang Hao jumped out from the corner, plopped down next to Li Jin, and said with a hint of relief and sarcasm.

Li Jin rolled his eyes at him. "Where did you hide just now? If it weren't for Xiao Bai, I would have become material for your phone."

Zhang Hao scratched his head awkwardly. "Hehe, I was just afraid of disturbing your performance. But speaking of which, you were really scary when you turned evil, even scarier than the bugs I wrote while working overtime all night."

Xiao Mei, carrying Xiao Bai, walked up to Li Jin, looking at him with a complicated expression. "Li Jin, are you alright?"

Looking at Xiao Mei's worried eyes, Li Jin felt a warmth in his heart and forced a smile, "I'm fine, just a little tired."

Old Wang walked over, clutching his injured shoulder. "The corruption of dark forces is no joke. You'd better be careful from now on."

Li Jin nodded. "I understand, Lao Wang. This time, it's all thanks to you and Xiao Bai." He looked down at Xiao Bai, the little guy licking his wounds, his eyes filled with affection and trust. Li Jin reached out and gently stroked Xiao Bai's soft fur, his heart filled with gratitude.

"Hiss..." Old Wang gasped, his face turning pale. "This wound... seems a bit off."

Xiao Mei quickly checked Lao Wang's wound and found that what had initially been a superficial injury had now begun to turn black and fester, emitting a nauseating stench. "What... what is this?"

Li Jin also came over to examine it, his expression immediately turning serious. "This is dark corrosion; the dark energy from Jack's crystal ball remains on your wound."

"What should we do?" Xiaomei asked anxiously. "Is there any way to detoxify?"

Li Jin pondered for a moment, "There should be herbs in the other world that can suppress dark energy. We need to find them as soon as possible."

“I know a place where this herb might be found,” Xiaomei suddenly said, “but it’s dangerous; it’s the lair of dark creatures.”

A resolute glint flashed in Li Jin's eyes. "We can't worry about that now, we have to give it a try."

"Count me in," Zhang Hao patted his chest. "Although I'm not very good at fighting, I can still come in handy at crucial moments."

Old Wang shook his head with a wry smile, "With my old arms and legs like this, it seems I'll have to give it another shot."

Thus began the perilous journey of four humans and their pet to find the antidote. They traversed dense jungles, climbed steep mountains, encountered all sorts of dark creatures, and endured countless hardships and challenges along the way.

In a gloomy valley, they finally found the legendary herb—the Moon Spirit Flower. The Moon Spirit Flower emitted a faint silver light, appearing exceptionally dazzling in the darkness.

However, the guardian of the Moon Spirit Flower was a giant spider with eight eyes that gleamed with an eerie green light and dripped viscous venom from its mouth, making it a truly terrifying sight.

"Holy crap, that's a huge spider!" Zhang Hao's legs went weak with fear. "How much insecticide would it take to get rid of this thing?"

Li Jin drew his black longsword. "Enough talk, prepare for battle!"

Just then, a commotion arose from the other end of the valley, and a group of men in black emerged from the darkness, surrounding them.

"Looks like we're being followed," Li Jin sneered. "They're like a persistent ghost."

The leader of the men in black removed his mask, revealing a familiar face.

"Sophie?!" Li Jin exclaimed in surprise.
