Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure
Chapter 67 Master
"Sophie? What...what are you doing?" Li Jin asked with difficulty, the pain in his body making it hard to speak. Zhang Hao and Tom were also stunned; they hadn't expected Sophie to appear suddenly, especially with such murderous intent.
Sophie didn't answer, but quickened her pace, raising the dagger high, aiming straight for Li Jin's chest. "Die!" she screamed, her face twisted with hatred.
At the critical moment, Zhang Hao suddenly shoved Li Jin away, and the dagger pierced his shoulder.
"Ah!" Zhang Hao screamed and fell to the ground.
"Zhang Hao!" Li Jin's eyes widened in horror. He hadn't expected Zhang Hao to be injured while saving him.
Tom was also terrified. He frantically pulled out bandages from his backpack, trying to stop Zhang Hao's bleeding.
Seeing this, Sophie sneered, "Hmph, another one coming to die!" She raised her dagger again, preparing to attack Li Jin and Tom.
Just then, a dark shadow flashed by, and Sophie felt a numbness in her wrist, causing the dagger to fall to the ground.
"Who?" Sophie turned around in alarm and saw a man in black standing behind her, holding a black dagger in his hand.
The man in black didn't speak, but gave Sophie a cold look before turning and walking towards Li Jin.
"What...what are you going to do?" Li Jin looked at the man in black warily, feeling that this person was more dangerous than Sophie.
The man in black walked up to Li Jin, knelt on one knee, and respectfully said, "Master, please come back with us."
"Master?" Li Jin was completely confused. "What are you talking about? Who is your master?"
The man in black offered no explanation, only repeating, "Master, please come back with us."
"I'll say it again, I don't know what you're talking about!" Li Jin said impatiently.
The man in black raised his head, a cold glint in his eyes. "Since our master is unwilling to cooperate, then don't blame us for being impolite." As he spoke, he brandished his short sword and attacked Li Jin.
Although Li Jin was physically weak, his reactions were still quite quick. He barely dodged the attack from the man in black, then shouted, "Zhang Hao, Tom, run!"
Zhang Hao clutched his wound and struggled to his feet. He pulled Tom up, and the two stumbled and ran away into the distance.
The man in black did not chase after Zhang Hao and Tom; his target was only Li Jin.
"Who are you? Why are you arresting me?" Li Jin asked while dodging the attacks from the man in black.
"You don't need to know all that. You just need to come back with us obediently," the man in black said coldly.
"Dream on!" Li Jin gritted his teeth. He knew he couldn't fall into these people's hands, or the consequences would be unimaginable.
He endured the pain in his body, mobilized the remaining energy within him, and engaged in a fierce battle with the man in black.
However, the man in black was far stronger than Li Jin had imagined. His moves were all deadly, and Li Jin quickly found himself at a disadvantage.
"Bang!" Li Jin was kicked away by the man in black and crashed heavily to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
"Li Jin!" Zhang Hao's exclamation came from afar.
The man in black walked step by step toward Li Jin, his eyes flashing with cold killing intent. "It's over."
Just as the man in black was about to deliver the final blow to Li Jin, a golden light descended from the sky, blasting the man in black away.
"Who goes there?" The man in black scrambled to his feet, looking around warily.
An elderly man dressed in a white robe slowly descended from the sky, holding a golden scepter. He exuded an air of otherworldly grace, like a deity.
"Old Wang!" Li Jin exclaimed in surprise.
Old Wang smiled and nodded, then looked at the man in black, a cold glint flashing in his eyes, "You dare to hurt my disciple? You're courting death!"
The man in black's expression changed. He hadn't expected there to be such a powerful expert here. He dared not linger and turned to flee.
"Want to leave? Not so easy!" Old Wang sneered, raised his scepter, and a golden light shot out, enveloping the man in black.
The man in black let out a scream, and his body instantly turned to ashes.
"Old Wang, are you...are you alright?" Li Jin struggled to sit up and asked with concern. He had been worried about Old Wang's safety ever since they parted ways in the cave.
Old Wang walked to Li Jin's side, smiled kindly, and said, "Silly child, how could I be in trouble?" As he spoke, he reached out and gently touched Li Jin's body. A warm energy flowed into Li Jin's body, and his injuries were instantly healed.
"What... what's going on?" Li Jin was surprised as he felt the changes in his body. He felt full of power, as if he had returned to his peak condition.
"This is the power of life," Old Wang explained, "It can heal all injuries."
Li Jin looked at Lao Wang gratefully, "Thank you, Lao Wang."
"Why thank me?" Old Wang smiled and shook his head. "You're my apprentice, of course I have to protect you." As he spoke, he turned his gaze to Zhang Hao and Tom in the distance. "Let's go see your friends first."
Just then, a huge vortex suddenly appeared in the sky, emitting an eerie light...
