Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 66 Reunion Under the Stars

The cave shook violently, boulders rained down, and jagged cracks appeared in the ceiling. Li Jin struggled to open his eyes and saw Old Wang's anxious face. "What... happened outside?" he asked weakly, his voice barely audible.

Old Wang helped Li Jin up, his brow furrowed. "The battle between King Kong and Kasa has disturbed the earth's veins; this cave is about to collapse!" He looked around, searching for a way to escape.

"Cough cough... King Kong... How is he?" Li Jin coughed up a mouthful of black blood. Although the Shadow Poison was suppressed by the Pearl of Life, the residual toxins were still tormenting his body.

"We can't worry about him now, saving our lives is the priority!" Old Wang carried Li Jin on his back and rushed towards the cave entrance.

Just then, a huge boulder crashed down from the cave ceiling, blocking their path. Old Wang's expression changed drastically. "Oh no!"

"Old Wang, put me down, you can go!" Li Jin grabbed Old Wang's shoulder. "I...I can't run anymore..."

"What nonsense are you talking about!" Old Wang put Li Jin down, raised his cane, which gleamed with golden light. "Break!" he roared, slamming the cane down hard on the boulder.

The boulder shattered, but even more fragments fell from the cave ceiling, completely sealing the entrance.

"This is...it's over..." Li Jin gave a bitter laugh, his vision blurring.

Old Wang sighed and helped Li Jin sit down on a relatively stable rock. "Life and death are predestined, wealth and honor are determined by fate," he said with a hint of helplessness in his voice.

Li Jin leaned against the stone wall, panting heavily. He felt his life force rapidly draining away, and his consciousness growing increasingly blurred. Could this be... his end? Was this how a keyboard warrior's otherworldly adventure really ended?

He remembered Sophie's distorted face, Xiao Mei's selfless protection, Zhang Hao's busy figure in front of the computer, and Amy's gentle smile...

"Damn it... I'm not reconciled!" Li Jin suddenly opened his eyes, a defiant glint in them.

He fumbled in his pocket for his phone; the screen was cracked, but it was still barely usable. With trembling fingers, he dialed a number.

"Hello? Zhang Hao...? It's me... Li Jin..."

Zhang Hao's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone, "Li Jin! How are you? Where are you? I located you in a cave, but the signal is very unstable!"

"I...I'm trapped...the cave is collapsing..." Li Jin said haltingly, "I...I might...not be able to go back..."

"Don't talk nonsense! You'll definitely get out alive!" Zhang Hao's voice trembled slightly. "Tell me, what do you need? I... I'll figure something out right away!"

"I...I need...explosives...lots of explosives..." Li Jin gritted his teeth, "To...blow this mountain apart!"

Zhang Hao was silent for a moment, then said firmly, "Okay! I understand! Hang in there! I'll arrange it right away!"

After hanging up the phone, Li Jin collapsed weakly onto the stone, his consciousness fading once again.

He was awakened by a loud explosion after an unknown amount of time.

"boom!"

"Boom boom boom!"

The mountain shook violently, and rocks rained down like raindrops. Li Jin felt himself being thrown out by a tremendous force, then crashing heavily to the ground.

He groggily opened his eyes and saw a dazzling starry sky above him.

"I'm alive?"

He struggled to his feet and found himself lying at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by chaos and the smell of gunpowder in the air.

"Li Jin!" A familiar voice called out.

He turned his head and saw Zhang Hao and Tom running towards him, both with anxious and worried expressions on their faces.

"Are you... are you alright?" Zhang Hao helped Li Jin up and looked him up and down.

Li Jin grinned, "He won't die... he's tough..."

Suddenly, he sensed a murderous aura behind him. He turned around abruptly and saw a familiar figure standing not far away, holding a gleaming dagger in his hand.

It's Sophie! She's still alive!

Sophie, a sinister smile on her face, approached Li Jin step by step. "Li Jin, I didn't expect you to be so lucky, but... this time you're dead!"
