"Upgraded?" Sophie's eyes widened as she stared at the runes on Li Jin's chest, their golden light shimmering and rising and falling like breath. "This... what kind of magic is this? I've never seen anything like it before..."

Li Jin stretched his body, and the previous soreness vanished, replaced by an unprecedented sense of strength. He clenched his fist, feeling the surging energy within him, and a smile appeared on his lips. "Looks like this damn system is actually quite reliable in crucial moments."

Little White peeked its fluffy little head out from Sophie's arms, staring curiously at the rune on Li Jin's chest, and stuck out its pink little tongue to lick it.

"Stop fooling around, Little White." Sophie gently patted Little White's head. She turned to Li Jin, her eyes filled with worry, "But... even if you level up, we're still trapped here. The exit is blocked, how are we going to get out?"

Li Jin stood up and dusted himself off. The cave was pitch black, with only the faint golden light emanating from the runes illuminating a small area. "Don't worry, there's always a way," he said, walking to the collapsed entrance and examining it closely. Piles of rubble and mud blocked the entrance completely.

"System, is there any way to get out?" Li Jin silently prayed.

"Ding! Host is currently in a predicament. Emergency escape plan activated. Plan 1: Consume 1000 points to exchange for 'Rock-Breaking Drill,' which can quickly drill through rock; Plan 2: Consume 500 points to exchange for 'Bone-Shrinking Skill,' which can escape through gaps; Plan 3:..."

"Wait! 1000 points? Are you kidding me?!" Li Jin couldn't help but curse. "I've painstakingly saved up for so long, and I only have 800 points. You just ask for 1000? Go die!"

The system's cold, electronic voice remained unmoved: "The host may choose to complete tasks issued by the system to earn points."

"Mission? What mission? Tell me quickly!"

"Ding! Urgent mission issued: Explore the depths of the cave and search for lost treasure. Mission reward: 2000 points, one rare item 'Space Ring'."

Upon hearing this, Li Jin's eyes lit up immediately. "A spatial ring? This thing is great! With it, I'll never have to worry about where to put my things again!" He rubbed his hands excitedly. "Sophie, it looks like we'll have to explore the caves further."

Sophie was a little scared, but she nodded firmly. "I'm willing to do anything to get out of here."

Li Jin took Sophie's hand, and the rune on his chest emitted a warm light, dispelling the darkness and fear in the cave. Little White jumped excitedly onto Li Jin's shoulder, waving its little paws, seemingly cheering them on.

The three people and their pet cautiously made their way along the narrow passage. The cave was utterly silent, save for the sound of dripping water echoing in the empty space. A damp, musty smell filled the air, making it feel somewhat suffocating.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, a glimmer of light suddenly appeared ahead. The three quickened their pace and arrived at the light, where a bright and open space opened up before them.

This is a huge underground cave, with countless shimmering stalactites hanging from the ceiling like brilliant stars in the night sky. At the bottom of the cave is a clear lake, with tiny fluorescent lights floating on its surface like fireflies dancing in the night sky.

"So beautiful..." Sophie was deeply shocked by the scene before her and couldn't help but exclaim.

Li Jin was also attracted by the beautiful scenery, but soon his attention was drawn to a small island in the center of the lake. On the island stood an ancient altar, on which rested a glittering golden treasure chest.

"Treasure! It must be treasure!" Li Jin shouted excitedly, pulling Sophie along as they ran towards the lake.

However, at that moment, a huge black tentacle suddenly sprang out of the lake and wrapped itself around Li Jin's ankle.

"Holy crap! What the hell is that?!" Li Jin was horrified and struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free no matter what he did.

The black tentacles tightened their grip, and a powerful suction force dragged him into the lake.

"Li Jin!" Sophie exclaimed, wanting to go forward to help, but Xiaobai held her back tightly.

Little White shook its head at Sophie, its little eyes filled with fear. It seemed to know that some terrible creature was lurking in the lake and didn't want Sophie to get close.

Just as Li Jin was about to be dragged into the lake, at the critical moment, the rune on his chest suddenly burst forth with dazzling light...
