Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

Chapter 48 Survival from desperate situation

The men in black behind Jack slowly approached, completely blocking the cave entrance. The flickering firelight illuminated their cold masks, adding to the chilling atmosphere. Li Jin gripped his lightsaber tightly, took a deep breath, and a dangerous glint flashed in his blood-red eyes. "Jack, you've teamed up with Linna's remnants; it seems you've completely lost your mind!"

Jack scoffed dismissively. "Stop pretending! That stupid bitch Linna's finished. Now I'm in charge! You made me lose so much money, and today I'm going to get it back with interest!" As he spoke, he pulled a metal device from his pocket and waved it at Li Jin. "Do you know what this is? A signal jammer! Your crappy system is useless now!"

Li Jin's heart skipped a beat. The system had been unstable since the last upgrade; if it were truly affected by the jammer, it would be a real problem. He calmly shielded Sophie behind him. "Jack, are you sure you want to fight to the death with us? These useless guys behind you aren't even worth a second!"

"Haha, still talking tough even when death is imminent!" Jack laughed arrogantly. "Brothers, get him! Grab this kid, I'll make him wish he were dead!"

The men in black swarmed forward, brandishing their weapons, and charged at Li Jin. Li Jin snorted coldly, and his lightsaber flashed with a dazzling light, cleaving the leading man in black in two. Blood splattered, staining the cave walls red.

Although Sophie was terrified, she forced herself to pick up a stone from the ground and smashed it hard against the head of one of the men in black. The man in black screamed, twitched a few times on the ground, and then fell still.

While fighting, Li Jin observed the jammer in Jack's hand. He noticed that the jammer's energy fluctuations were very unstable, seemingly on the verge of exploding at any moment. A bold idea surfaced in his mind.

"Sophie, hold them off for me!" Li Jin shouted, then charged toward Jack.

Jack was startled by Li Jin's reckless fighting style and retreated hastily. "You bunch of useless trash, what are you standing there for! Stop him!"

The men in black surrounded him again, but Li Jin was like a madman, completely disregarding his own safety, each move aimed to kill. He fought his way through the crowd, heading straight for Jack.

"Die!" Li Jin roared, his lightsaber aimed straight at Jack's chest.

Jack's eyes widened in terror as he tried to dodge, but it was too late. At that critical moment, a man in black suddenly stepped in front of Jack, shielding him from the fatal blow.

Li Jin's lightsaber pierced through the man in black's body and also struck the jammer in Jack's hand.

"boom!"

With a deafening roar, the jammer exploded. The powerful shockwave blasted the cave entrance shut, instantly sealing it off with rubble and mud.

The cave was pitch black, so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Li Jin was thrown back by the shockwave of the explosion and crashed heavily to the ground, losing consciousness.

After an unknown amount of time, Li Jin slowly opened his eyes. He found himself lying in a warm embrace, with Sophie looking at him with a worried expression. "Li Jin, you're finally awake!"

"Where...is this?" Li Jin felt sore all over and his head was spinning.

"We're trapped in the cave," Sophie said, her voice trembling. "The exit is blocked, we...we can't get out."

Li Jin struggled to sit up and looked around. The cave was a mess, with rubble and dirt everywhere. Little White was curled up in Sophie's arms, shivering.

"Damn it!" Li Jin couldn't help but curse. He originally thought that killing Jack would temporarily free him from his predicament, but he didn't expect to fall into an even greater crisis. Trapped in a dark cave, food and water became problems, not to mention the men in black who were watching him from the outside.

Just then, Li Jin suddenly felt a burning sensation in his chest. He looked down and saw a faint golden light emanating from his chest. The golden light gradually intensified, eventually forming a complex rune that floated on his chest.

"What is this?" Sophie also noticed the unusual thing on Li Jin's chest and asked in surprise.

Li Jin reached out and touched the rune on his chest, and a strange power surged into his body. He felt his body was full of power, and his original pain miraculously disappeared.

"I think I... leveled up?" Li Jin said somewhat uncertainly.
