Keyboard Warrior's Otherworldly Adventure

The sharp pain caused Li Jin to stumble and almost fall. He groaned and instinctively reached up to touch his back, finding it slippery and wet.

"Damn, is this for real?!" Li Jin cursed inwardly. This system is such a rip-off. What happened to the promised mastery of basic swordsmanship? How come I got stabbed in the back?

However, the pain also ignited his ferocity. Before transmigrating, he was a master of trash talk, a top-tier keyboard warrior. Now, he'd been tricked—how could he swallow this insult?

Li Jin roared and swung his staff, sending the man in black behind him flying. The man crashed into a large tree, spitting blood, and was clearly beyond saving.

"Damn it, how dare they ambush me!" Li Jin spat, feeling a burning pain in the wound on his back. Only then did he remember to check the system status.

"System, I'm injured. Do you have any healing functions?" Li Jin asked silently in his mind.

"Host injury detected, scanning for injury... Injury rating: minor. Host is advised to handle it himself." The system's cold electronic voice sounded in his mind.

"Handle it myself? How the hell am I supposed to handle it?" Li Jin was on the verge of tears. "This is the middle of nowhere, there isn't even a band-aid, how am I supposed to handle it myself?"

He staggered to the girl's side, who was staring at him in shock, her eyes filled with gratitude and curiosity.

"Thank you for saving me." The girl's voice was clear and melodious, like a mountain stream.

"It was no trouble at all," Li Jin said, waving his hand despite the pain. "But, beautiful lady, do you have any medicine for treating this? I've got a hole in my back, and it's bleeding profusely."

Upon hearing this, the girl quickly took a small medicine bottle from her waist and handed it to Li Jin: "This is a special healing medicine made by our royal family. Please apply it quickly."

Li Jin took the medicine bottle, opened it, and saw that it contained a light green ointment with a faint fragrance. Without hesitation, he applied the ointment to the wound, and a cooling sensation instantly spread throughout his body, significantly reducing the pain.

"Wow, it works really well!" Li Jin exclaimed. "Where can I buy this ointment? I'd like to stock up on some too."

The girl smiled slightly: "This is a secret recipe of our royal family; it's not sold on the market."

Upon hearing this, Li Jin was immediately disappointed: "That's such a pity."

"Who are you? Why are you here?" the girl asked curiously.

"My name is Li Jin, and I'm... uh... a traveler," Li Jin said vaguely. He couldn't very well say that he had traveled from another time, could he?

"My name is Sophie, and I am the princess of this country," the girl introduced herself confidently.

"A princess?!" Li Jin's eyes widened, thinking to himself, "This transmigration perk is too good! I can actually meet a princess!"

Just then, the sound of horses' hooves approached from afar. Sophie's expression changed: "Oh no, the pursuers are here!"

Li Jin also became nervous: "What should we do?"

Sophie made a quick decision: "Let's go!"

The two hid in the dense woods, held their breath, and listened as the sound of horses' hooves grew closer.

"They seem to have spotted us!" Li Jin said in a low voice.

"We have to find a way to shake them off!" Sophie said anxiously.

Li Jin looked around, then his eyes lit up. Pointing to a towering tree not far away, he said, "Let's climb up the tree!"

Sophie hesitated for a moment: "But I'm wearing a long dress, so it's inconvenient for me to climb trees."

"Never mind that, saving our lives is the priority!" Without another word, Li Jin grabbed Sophie's hand and ran towards the giant tree.

The two hurriedly climbed the tree and hid among the dense foliage, watching a group of black-clad cavalrymen roar past below.

"Phew, I finally escaped a disaster." Li Jin breathed a sigh of relief, only to find that his hand was still tightly holding Su Fei's hand. The soft and delicate touch made his heart flutter.

Sophie seemed to realize this as well, her pretty face flushed slightly, and she gently withdrew her hand.

The two fell silent for a moment, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

Suddenly, Li Jin felt his feet sink into the ground...
