Sophie and Xiaomei were startled awake by Li Jin's roar. Rubbing their sleepy eyes, they saw a bizarre scene before them. Li Jin was suspended in mid-air, enveloped in blue light, like a god descending to earth. Sophie covered her mouth and exclaimed, "Li Jin... what... what's wrong with you?"

Xiao Mei, on the other hand, was ecstatic, jumping up and down while hugging Xiao Bai: "Wow! So cool! Is Brother Jin about to transform into a Super Saiyan?"

Li Jin was in excruciating pain. The energy within his body was surging wildly, making him feel as if his internal organs were about to be ripped apart. He gritted his teeth, struggling to control this violent power and prevent it from destroying him.

Seeing this, Old Wang quickly stepped forward, formed a hand seal, and chanted incantations. A circle of golden light emanated from his hands, enveloping Li Jin. The golden and blue light intertwined, making the cave as bright as day.

"Hold on, young man! This is the system merging with your body. If you can get through this, you will be able to control this power!" Old Wang's voice echoed in Li Jin's mind like a morning bell and evening drum, gradually calming him down.

Blue energy flows

Li Jin took a deep breath, diligently guiding the energy within his body, slowly absorbing it according to Old Wang's instructions. Time passed second by second, the blue light gradually receding and finally disappearing. Li Jin landed slowly, his hair returning to its normal black, only his eyes now held a sharper edge.

He clenched his fist, feeling the surging power within him, a smile appearing on his lips. "I... I think I've gotten stronger."

"You've not just become stronger, you've undergone a complete transformation!" Old Wang stroked his beard, his eyes full of admiration. "Now, you've gained a basic grasp of the system's power and can handle the challenges ahead."

Li Jin nodded and walked up to Sophie and Xiao Mei. "Sorry, I startled you."

Sophie asked with concern, "Are you alright? That was... that was terrifying."

Li Jin smiled and ruffled Sophie's hair. "Don't worry, I'm fine. Now, we need to think about how to deal with those small fry outside."

Xiao Mei excitedly waved her little fist: "Brother Jin, let me do it! Xiao Bai, let's go!"

Xiao Bai huddled trembling behind Xiao Mei, clearly still shaken from the earlier fright. Xiao Mei sighed helplessly, "Xiao Bai, you're such a...coward!"

Li Jin walked to the cave entrance, looking at the dark mass of soldiers outside, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. He slowly drew his longsword, and the blue light shone once more, like a bolt of lightning streaking across the night sky.

"Come on, let me see what you weaklings are really capable of!"

The lead soldier, seeing Li Jin's change, flashed a look of fear in his eyes. He brandished his greatsword and roared, "Brothers, charge! Kill him!"

The soldiers swarmed forward, their battle cries deafening. Li Jin sneered, his figure moving like a ghost through the crowd, his sword flashing, blood splattering.

Although these soldiers were numerous, they were as vulnerable as clay chickens and earthen dogs before Li Jin. Every swing of his longsword took a life.

Just as Li Jin was wreaking havoc, a figure silently appeared deep within the cave. It was a short man wearing a black cloak, with a strange mask covering his face, revealing only a pair of cold, sinister eyes.

He gazed at Li Jin, who was fighting a bloody battle, a cruel smile creeping across his lips. "Interesting…it seems this mission won't be too boring…" He extended a withered hand from his cloak, gripping a dagger that gleamed with an eerie green light. The dagger's shape was peculiar, like a twisted venomous snake, exuding a chilling aura. He licked his lips, his eyes gleaming with greed… "The system…is mine…"
