Old Wang, leaning on his wooden cane, slowly walked up to Li Jin, a hint of helplessness on his kind face. "Young man, it seems you've gotten yourself into quite a bit of trouble."

Li Jin smiled wryly, rubbing his throbbing temples. "Old Wang, what's going on? That dark figure, and that robot... I feel like I'm dreaming."

Princess Sophie also approached, her delicate face filled with confusion. "Old Wang, do you know that robot? Why...why does it obey your commands?"

Old Wang sighed, gazing intently into the distance. "This world is far more complex than you imagine. That shadowy figure is an assassin from another dimension; his target is you."

"Me?" Li Jin pointed at himself, looking completely bewildered. "I'm just an ordinary keyboard warrior. I've only been here a few days, how did I become someone's target?"

"Because you possess the system." Old Wang's tone was grave. "The power of the system has attracted the attention of certain people. They want it at all costs."

"System? What system?" Princess Sophie was completely confused.

Li Jin was about to explain when Old Wang interrupted him. "This isn't the time to talk about that. That robot was a guardian I created before. It was awakened by some force, which is why it attacked you. Luckily, I arrived in time, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable."

Holding the unconscious Xiaobai, Xiaomei asked worriedly, "Old Wang, how is Xiaobai?"

Old Wang checked on Xiao Bai and said, "It's just been a little frightened. It'll be fine after a rest."

Li Jin breathed a sigh of relief, looked at Sophie and Xiao Mei who were slumped on the ground, and said, "Let's find a place to rest first. Everyone is exhausted."

Old Wang nodded and led them to a nearby cave.

The cave was dry, and the ground was covered with a thick layer of dry grass, making it a nice place to rest. Sophie and Xiaomei quickly fell asleep, and Xiaobai curled up in Xiaomei's arms, snoring softly.

Li Jin couldn't sleep at all, his mind filled with Old Wang's words. The assassin from another dimension, the power of the system... all of this made him uneasy.

"Can't sleep?" Old Wang's voice rang in my ears.

Li Jin turned his head and saw that Old Wang was sitting cross-legged next to him, holding a pipe and puffing out smoke.

"Old Wang, who exactly are you?" Li Jin couldn't help but ask.

Old Wang smiled and exhaled a smoke ring. "Me? I'm just a guardian, protecting the balance of this world."

"Guardians?" Li Jin was even more puzzled.

"This world contains many planes, each with its own rules and power system. My duty is to prevent an imbalance of power between these planes and avoid causing a greater catastrophe," Old Wang explained.

"Then... what's going on with the system?" Li Jin pressed.

Old Wang took a deep drag on his cigarette and slowly said, "The system is a technological product from a higher dimension; it possesses the power to change the world. And that's precisely why it has become the target of many people's covetousness."

Li Jin was completely bewildered, feeling as if his worldview had been turned upside down. He had originally thought that transmigrating to another world would be about fighting monsters, leveling up, picking up girls, and showing off, but he never expected to get involved in such a complicated affair.

Li Jin walked to the cave entrance and looked out. He saw a group of soldiers in black armor surrounding the cave.

The leading soldier, tall and imposing, wielded a massive sword and wore a ferocious grin. "Li Jin, you're surrounded! Surrender obediently!"

Li Jin sneered, "You bunch of small fry think you can catch me? Dream on!" A longsword gleaming with blue light suddenly appeared in his hand, its tip pointing directly at his opponents. "Come on, let me see what you're capable of!"

Just then, Li Jin suddenly felt a sharp headache, his vision went black, and he almost fainted. He quickly grabbed the cave wall, gritted his teeth, and tried his best to stay awake.

"What happened?" Old Wang asked with concern.

Li Jin shook his head and said, "I don't know, I suddenly have a terrible headache..."

Before he could finish speaking, he suddenly felt a powerful force surging from his body, and the blue light became even more dazzling, as if it were about to illuminate the entire cave.

"This is..." Old Wang looked at Li Jin in surprise, a look of disbelief flashing in his eyes.

Li Jin's body began to change; his skin became transparent, revealing blue energy flowing within. His hair also turned blue, standing upright like burning flames.

"Holy crap! What's going on?" Li Jin looked at his body in horror, feeling like he was about to explode.
