A piercing alarm ripped through the night, startling a flock of night birds perched on the palace eaves. Princess Sophie gripped Li Jin's arm tightly, her heart pounding. The sudden turn of events flustered her, but she tried to remain calm; after all, she was a princess, and she had to maintain her composure.

"What do we do now?" Princess Sophie asked in a low voice, her tone tinged with unease.

Li Jin squinted and looked around. The towering palace walls, the heavily guarded soldiers, and the constantly flashing alarm lights all indicated that they were in trouble. "Looks like we'll have to force our way out," he said calmly, as if he were talking about something trivial.

"Force our way in?" Princess Sophie's eyes widened. "This is the royal palace, heavily guarded. How can we force our way in?"

Li Jin smiled confidently. "Don't worry, follow me." He said, taking Princess Sophie's hand and running towards a dark corner of the palace wall.

They hid in the shadows, observing the patrolling guards' route. Li Jin noticed that the guards' patrol route followed a certain pattern, with brief gaps appearing every now and then.

"Now!" Li Jin shouted, pulling Princess Sophie aside and quickly slipping through the gaps in the patrolling guards.

They ran frantically, avoiding the guards' sight. Li Jin was agile, like a nimble cheetah, weaving between the palace rooftops and walls. Princess Sophie, though not as nimble as Li Jin, did her best to keep up with him.

While evading the guards, they inevitably encountered some dangerous situations. On one occasion, they were almost discovered by a guard. Li Jin reacted quickly, pulling Princess Sophie behind a statue. The two huddled together, holding their breath, listening to the guard's footsteps as he passed by.

Princess Sophie could feel the heat emanating from Li Jin and his strong heartbeat. At such close range, she could even smell the faint scent of sweat on Li Jin, mixed with a masculine aroma she couldn't describe, which made her feel a strange flutter in her heart.

Having finally shaken off their pursuers, they arrived at the foot of a high wall. This wall was at least ten meters high, smooth as a mirror, and there was nothing to climb.

"This..." Princess Sophie looked at the high wall, somewhat desperate, "We can't get over it."

Li Jin smiled and pointed to a pile of junk in the corner, saying, "Who said we have to climb the wall?" He walked over to the pile of junk and began rummaging through it.

"What are you looking for?" Princess Sophie asked, puzzled.

"Let's find something we can use," Li Jin explained as he searched.

Soon, he found some planks and rope in the pile of debris. He cleverly combined the planks and rope to make a simple hang glider.

"What is this?" Princess Sophie looked at the strange device, even more puzzled.

"This is our escape tool," Li Jin said with a smile. "Hold on tight."

He strapped the hang glider to Princess Sophie's back, and then strapped one to himself as well.

"Are you ready?" Li Jin asked.

Princess Sophie took a deep breath and nodded.

Li Jin, holding Princess Sophie's hand, leaped off the high wall.

The hang glider unfolded in the air, carrying them slowly down.

The night breeze ruffled Princess Sophie's long hair as she looked down at the palace receding into the distance, her heart filled with thrill and excitement.

Just as they were about to land, suddenly, a dark shadow descended from the sky and pounced on them.

"Watch out!" Li Jin shouted, pulling Princess Sophie into his arms.

The dark figure slammed heavily into Li Jin's back, sending him flying.

Li Jin fell heavily to the ground, feeling as if his internal organs had shifted. He struggled to get up, but found himself unable to move.

The dark figure slowly stood up, revealing a ferocious face.

"Li Jin!" Princess Sophie exclaimed, rushing to Li Jin's side. "Are you alright?"

Li Jin gritted his teeth, shook his head, and said, "I'm fine..."

However, before he could finish speaking, he spat out a mouthful of blood.

The dark figure let out a chilling laugh and approached them step by step.

"You can't escape..."
