At the critical moment, Li Jin could no longer stand idly by. He suddenly darted out from behind the pillar and delivered a flying kick that slammed into the wrist of the man in black who was holding the dagger.

With a clang, the dagger fell to the ground. The man in black winced in pain, let out a muffled groan, and quickly turned around, throwing a punch at Li Jin.

However, in his invisible state, Li Jin was like a ghost to the men in black. They couldn't pinpoint his location and could only throw punches wildly, like a drunkard.

Seizing the opportunity, Li Jin delivered a powerful elbow strike to the back of the man in black's neck. The man in black collapsed without uttering a sound.

Li Jin breathed a sigh of relief and went to the bedside to check on Princess Sophie's condition.

Princess Sophie seemed to have been startled awake. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she looked at Li Jin with a blank expression. "You are...?"

Li Jin then remembered that he was still wearing an invisibility cloak and quickly deactivated his invisibility.

"Li Jin?" Princess Sophie recognized him, her eyes widening in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"It's a long story," Li Jin said with a wry smile, "but in short, I'm here to save you."

"Save me?" Princess Sophie was even more confused. "What do I need you to save me for?"

Li Jin pointed to the man in black on the ground, "This person came to assassinate you."

Princess Sophie then noticed the man in black on the ground, and her face immediately turned pale. "Who sent him?"

"I suspect it's Lin Na," Li Jin said in a deep voice.

"Linna..." Princess Sophie gritted her teeth, a flash of anger in her eyes, "She still won't let me go!"

"Are you alright?" Li Jin asked with concern.

"I'm fine," Princess Sophie shook her head. "Luckily you showed up in time."

"This isn't the time to talk about this," Li Jin glanced out the window. "We need to get out of here quickly."

"Where to?"

"Let's leave the palace first."

Li Jin helped Princess Sophie up, and the two quietly left the palace.

However, as soon as they stepped into the corridor, they heard a series of hurried footsteps.

"Oh no, someone's coming!" Li Jin quickly pulled Princess Sophie to hide in a corner.

A group of fully armed guards appeared in the corridor, searching around.

"What's going on?" the lead guard asked sternly.

"Reporting, Captain, we've discovered someone has infiltrated the palace!" a guard replied.

"What? Did they catch them?"

"Not yet, but we've found this." The guard picked up the dagger from the ground and handed it to the captain.

The captain took the dagger, examined it closely, and his expression immediately turned serious. "This is... the Shadow Assassin's dagger!"

"Shadow Assassin?" The other guards gasped in shock.

The Shadow Assassins are a notorious killer organization in another world. Their members are all highly skilled and can kill without leaving a trace.

"This seems to be more than it appears," the captain said in a deep voice. "Immediately seal off the palace and conduct a thorough search. We must capture the assassin!"

"Yes!" the guards responded in unison, then dispersed to continue the search.

Li Jin and Princess Sophie hid in a corner, not daring to breathe.

"This is troublesome," Princess Sophie whispered. "The palace is under lockdown. How do we get out?"

Li Jin frowned, pondering a solution. Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck him.

"I have a way," Li Jin said in a low voice. "Come with me."

Li Jin led Princess Sophie to a window.

"Jump from here?" Princess Sophie asked in surprise. "That's so high!"

"Don't worry," Li Jin smiled, "I will protect you."

As Li Jin spoke, he picked up Princess Sophie, leaped out of the window, and jumped down.

The two landed on the ground, and Li Jin caught Princess Sophie steadily.

"Are you alright?" Li Jin asked with concern.

Princess Sophie shook her head, a strange emotion flickering in her eyes as she looked at Li Jin. In the moonlight, Li Jin's face, with its sharp features, appeared exceptionally handsome.

Just then, a piercing alarm blared throughout the entire palace…
