The night in the woods was so quiet.

Inside the jungle cabin

A man and a woman lay cuddling together on a bed. The man hugged the woman next to him and said, "Lori, don't worry, I will definitely treat you and Karl well."

The woman lay on the man's chest, tracing circles on his strong, muscular arm with her fingers, and then said, "Sean, from beginning to end, I can't believe that something so big has happened in this world."

Sean then said to Lori, who was nestled in his arms, "Yeah, I didn't expect something like this to happen either. Just a few days ago, I was a police officer in the office, drinking coffee and eating donuts, waiting for the dispatch center to issue a mission before going on duty. Now I can only hide here and escape everything in the world."

Hearing Sean tease her like that, Lori stood up, kissed Sean's cheek, and said, "Don't say that. No one can predict what will happen in the future. Fortunately, when Carl and I were in danger, you appeared in time to save us. My 'hero'!"

Hearing Lori describe herself like that, Sean's face immediately showed a sense of pride. He even thought that it wasn't so bad that the zombie virus had broken out. At least he had found his other half and picked up a half-grown son. Most importantly, he loved this non-biological son more than his own son.

With that in mind, Sean decided to strike while the iron was hot. He stood up and said to Lori, "Lori, marry me. I will treat Carl like my own son. You and your daughter will be with me, and I promise you won't suffer any grievances."

Lori wasn't surprised to hear Sean say that. She already knew about Sean's feelings for her, and with her husband lying in the hospital with his life hanging in the balance, she couldn't possibly let a complete stranger take care of her for the rest of her life.

Thinking this, Lori said to Sean, "Sean, is what you're saying true? Can I trust you? Can you really bring me and Carl a future?"

Upon hearing this, Sean exclaimed with delight, "Yes, Lori, I, Sean Wales, swear to God that I will only ever be good to you, Lori Grimes, and I will treat Carl Grimes like a good father!"

Upon hearing Sean's words, Lori blushed and said to him, "Not Lori Grimes, you should call me Lori Welsh now."

Upon hearing this, Sean was overjoyed and immediately hugged Lori in front of him, saying, "Yes! Lori Wales! My wife! My wife, Ms. Lori Wales! Please marry me, Sean Wales!"

Lori: "I agree to marry you, Sean Wales. From this day forward, I am your wife, and Carl is your son. I hope you will not break your vow."

In this setting, the two shared a passionate kiss.

Time returns to the present.

Sean glanced at Lori beside him, put his left arm around her, and comforted her, "It's okay, Lori, I'm here, everything will be alright."

Listening to Sean's words, the blush that had faded from Lori's face returned. This was the man she loved, the man she would marry after the apocalypse. Although they had never held a wedding ceremony, in the past two months, Sean and Lori had lived like husband and wife, doing everything that a married couple should do.

Having finished speaking

Seeing the two of them being affectionate, Rick went to Grimes' side, took out the bottle of coffee candy from his pocket, poured out a piece, and put it into Grimes' mouth.

A moment later, Grimes' nosebleed stopped, and he gradually woke up.

Seeing this, Rick helped Grimes up from the ground and said, "You're awake? The people you most want to see are here. I just hope you can keep your composure for a moment."

Upon hearing Rick's words, Grimm was completely dumbfounded, and then he witnessed a scene that shattered his beliefs.

He saw his good friend Sean embracing his wife Lori, with his son Carl beside them. It was as if he were an outsider who had disturbed the family of three.

Rick then released Grimes.

Grimes couldn't believe his eyes. He blinked, wishing it were all just an illusion.

Seeing this, Rick took out some alcohol wipes and handed them to Grimes, saying, "Use these to wipe your face, and you'll know whether what you're seeing is real or fake."

Upon hearing Rick's words, Grimes quickly picked up an alcohol wipe and began wiping his face.

Soon, the bloodstains on Grimes' face disappeared after being wiped with alcohol-soaked wipes.

When Grimes appeared before Lori after wiping his face, Lori's eyes widened, and she covered her mouth with one hand while staring at Grimes in horror, saying, "It's you! Grimes! You're still alive!"

At that moment, Carl, who was standing behind Sean and Lori, saw Grimes in front of him and ran over with joy, hugging him tightly and shouting, "Waaah, Daddy! Daddy! You're not dead! Uncle Sean said you died in the hospital. Mommy and I were hiding in the basement and almost got killed by bad guys. I missed you so much! Waaah!"

Rick snapped out of his daze and looked at his biological son, Carl, with mixed feelings. He knelt down, hugged Carl, and comforted him, "Carl, my child, you've suffered while Dad was away. Now that Dad's back, no one can bully you and your mother. Dad promises you, I will protect you both."

Grimes hugged Carl for a while, then stood up and faced his former best friend. He then said to Sean with an unfriendly expression, "Sean, before I passed out, I entrusted Lori and Carl to you. Is this what you're supposed to do, take care of Lori and Carl?"

Lori: "Grimms, let me explain, it's not what you think..." Before she could finish, Sean interrupted her, saying, "Lori, you don't need to explain to this bastard who's been lying in the hospital for two months. You're now named Wales, and you're my wife, Sean Wales. Don't worry, I've got you covered. You're behind me, and I'll protect you."

After saying that, Sean shielded Lori behind him and said to Grimes, "Grimms, you bastard, do you know how much Lori and Carl suffered while you were gone? Do you know that the mother and son were almost killed by a group of flour lovers? If I hadn't arrived in time, Lori and Carl would have been cold corpses by now."

Grimes glared at Sean and said angrily, "Oh? I'm very grateful that you saved Lori and Carl, but is this how you take care of them? While I was unconscious in the hospital, you took Lori to bed?"

Sean scoffed, "So what? Where were you when they needed you most? I showed up and saved them. Lori loves me now! Sean Wales! Not you, Rick Grimes!"

Grimes: "Good, good, very good! Sean Wales, you're great. This is how you treat me like a brother. I considered you a good brother, and you stole my wife and now you want my son to recognize you as his father. You really are my good brother!"

Sean: "What? You're not happy about it? Keep it to yourself!"

Grimes: "You...you damned scum! I challenge you to a duel!"

Sean sneered, "Heh, it seems our Sheriff Rick Grimes has been lying in the hospital for too long and ruined his brain. Let me tell you clearly, I'm the boss in this camp. You think you can take me on one-on-one now? You're not worthy!"

Rick, who had been standing silently to the side for a long time, said, "Oh? Is that so? He, Grimes, isn't worthy. Am I, Rick, worthy?"

Upon hearing Rick's words, everyone's gaze shifted from Grimes and Sean to the man named Rick.

The man, dressed in U.S. Army tank combat uniform, stood there with his arms crossed and a look of disdain on his face, staring at Sean.

Seeing this man's arrogance, Sean instantly flew into a rage and yelled at Rick, "You son of a bitch, I missed that punch before, and now you're jumping out to provoke me again. It seems that today only one of us can stand here, and the other must lie on the ground!"

Rick: "Oh? Is that so? Okay, I'll give you that chance, but that's not very interesting. How about we bet something?"

Hearing Rick's words, Sean frowned. He looked the Asian man up and down. In his eyes, Rick's physique was not good. In fact, he thought Rick was not as strong as Grimes next to him. If it weren't for the fact that Rick was wearing a combat uniform and looked more robust, Sean thought he could kill the man in front of him with one punch.

After thinking about all this, Sean laughed and said, "Okay, let's talk about what to bet on."

Seeing that Sean Wells, the big fish, had finally taken the bait, Rick said unhurriedly, "I'll bet you this one blow. If you take my blow and aren't knocked unconscious, you win. I'll let you do whatever you want with me—kill me or torture me, it's all up to you. If you're knocked unconscious by the blow, then you lose. You just need to be my subordinate. I won't let you do anything excessive."

After listening to Rick's advice, Sean wondered if the Asian man in front of him was an idiot. Such simple conditions were practically free. Just look at his own physique; years of training had given him a muscular build and maximum resilience. In contrast, this Asian man had delicate skin and was clearly an inexperienced newbie. No matter how powerful his blow was, could it knock him unconscious? Even Grimes next to him couldn't knock him unconscious with a single blow.

Thinking of this, Sean said, "Alright, I promise you, if you can knock me unconscious with one blow without using any weapons, I will unconditionally become your subordinate and follow your lead from now on!"

After saying that, Sean took a deep breath, then stood still and assumed a stance, waiting for Rick's attack.

Rick nodded to Sean, then walked over to him, and the two faced each other.

Rick looked at Sean, who had a serious expression on his face, and suddenly grinned mischievously at him, saying, "This hit might hurt a little, just bear with it, it'll be over soon."

Upon hearing this, Sean's eyes widened in surprise, and he saw a hand that had transformed into a knife slash diagonally toward his neck.

In an instant, Sean felt a terrifying force coming from the palm of his hand through his neck.

In an instant, before Sean could figure out what was happening, he noticed the screen go black and his strong, capable body collapsed to the ground.

This is the end.

Sean fell into a coma and was defeated.

Rick wins with one blow!
