[Ding! Congratulations, host, for completing mission 2: "Rescue Moore, who has been tied to the rooftop by T-boy"]

[Ding! The reward for Mission 2, the "Arms Sales Mission System," has been bound. The host can now officially begin arms sales missions.]

[Ding! Congratulations, host, for completing the advanced mission: "Sell Mor a weapon after rescuing him"]

[Ding! The advanced mission reward "Weapon Selection Box" x3 has been issued. The host can claim it from the system space at any time.]

The system then fell silent.

Rick: "System, system, what's in the weapon selection box?"

[Ding! The weapon selection box currently contains all the weapons needed to escape Kentucky. However, there are three types of weapon selection boxes: Regular Weapon Selection Box, Premium Weapon Selection Box, and Top-Tier Weapon Selection Box. There are a total of these three types.]

Rick: "System, system, what level of weapon selection box did I get this time?"

[Ding! The selection box you received as a reward for this mission is of the common tier.]

Rick: "I have a small question. Can weapon selection cases be upgraded? Can weapon selection cases be added to the inventory? Can weapon selection cases be gifted?"

[Ding! Yes, no, no, answer complete.]

Rick: "Why can't I input it? Didn't you say before that everything could be input?"

[Ding! This type of item is from your escape from Kentucky and does not belong to this world. You can only recycle and record it after you fully unlock the universal recycling function. Please do your best to complete the mission.]

Rick: "One last question, how do I redeem the Beowulf assault rifle? How do I redeem the Barrett XM109 sniper grenade launcher?"

[Ding! The Beowulf assault rifle requires an advanced weapon selection box to redeem, and the Barrett XM109 sniper grenade launcher requires a top-tier weapon selection box. The current host can use points to upgrade the weapon selection boxes.]

Rick: "So here's the question: how do I upgrade? How many points do I need? What materials do I need?"

[Ding! Upgrading from a Standard Weapon Selection Box to an Advanced Weapon Selection Box requires one Standard Weapon Selection Box, 500 points, and one Advanced Weapon Upgrade Card.]

Rick: "Advanced weapon upgrade card? System, system, where do I get this advanced weapon upgrade card?"

[Ding! Advanced weapon upgrade cards are now available in the system shop for 200 points each.]

Rick exclaimed in shock, "What?! System, are you robbing me?! Just upgrading requires 500 points, and this card costs 200 points? You're really ripping me off!"

[Ding! This system offers fair prices, no deception, buy it or leave it. It seems this system has been too lenient with you lately, you lazy host. Don't you even look at what kind of weapon this is? A 12.7 caliber assault rifle! I ask you, in this world, besides .50 caliber sniper rifles, are there any assault rifles with such a large caliber? What's wrong with the price? Is it expensive? If you think it's expensive, you don't have to buy it. If you can't afford it, look for the reason within yourself. Are you not trying hard enough? Don't always blame others. Although this system has a good temper, it's not something you can mess with! Hmph~╭(╯^╰)╮]

Rick, his face darkening, said, "Father, Lord, please don't be angry. It was my ignorance that offended you. Please forgive my rudeness and don't hold it against me."

[Hmph! You'd better do that, or don't blame this system for dealing with you!]

Rick: "You're right, you're right. So, can we exchange them now?"

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you have redeemed one "Advanced Weapon Upgrade Card" for 200 points.]

[Ding! Host, would you like to spend 500 points and one advanced weapon upgrade card to upgrade the standard weapon selection box?]

Rick: "Yes! Upgrade!"

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Your weapon selection box has been successfully upgraded to an advanced weapon selection box.]

Rick: "System, system, open the advanced weapon selection box and select the Beowulf assault rifle."

[Ding! Congratulations, host, you have successfully selected "Beowulf Assault Rifle" x1. It has been stored in the system warehouse and can be retrieved at any time.]

Rick: "System! System! One last question, can I register this gun? If I do, will I need to use an advanced weapon selection box or spend points to redeem it?"

[Ding! Before unlocking the Universal Recycling System, the Beowulf assault rifle could only be obtained through the Advanced Weapon Selection Box. After unlocking the Universal Recycling function, the host can spend points to redeem this weapon when recycling it.]

Rick: "System, system, use the 'Weapon Full-Spec Exchange Coupon' to upgrade the Beowulf Assault Rifle."

[Ding! Congratulations, host! Your "Beowulf Assault Rifle" has been successfully upgraded. Please modify the weapon in the Escape from Kentucky Weapon DIY interface.]

A screen appeared before Rick's eyes. It was the weapon customization interface he had accessed after loading the Escape from Kentucky mod in Project Zombie in his previous life. The interface was divided into various customization functions such as muzzle, underbarrel, scope, stock, attachments, searchlight, laser, infrared, special accessories, grip, and skins.

Upon seeing these features, Rick immediately began modifying the Beowulf. First, the muzzle. Since the Beowulf is .50 caliber, it couldn't be fitted with a suppressor; only two attachments were available: a Beowulf-specific flash hider and a Barrett XM109-specific flash hider. Rick particularly liked the Barrett XM109's duckbill-shaped flash hider, so he chose that for the muzzle. Next was the stock. There were many stock options (I won't go into detail here; basically, all stocks in Tarkov are available here). Rick chose the black Gen3 stock. This stock would look very cool with AR10 series rifles like the M110, SR25, and R11, but seeing how good it looked on the Beowulf, Rick opted for the black Gen3 stock. Then came the underbarrel ports.

There are a total of six under-mounted items, two of which are locked: the M203 under-mounted grenade launcher, the Remington M870 under-mounted shotgun, the under-mounted flamethrower, and the under-mounted crossbow. The other two locked items are the under-mounted multi-purpose mine launcher and the under-mounted hurricane multi-purpose launcher.

Seeing the locked under-mounted mine launcher and hurricane multi-function launcher, Rick immediately asked the system, "System, system, why can't I select the under-mounted multi-function mine launcher and the under-mounted hurricane multi-function launcher? If I remember correctly, these two functions are models that I commissioned Ragdoll Old Cat to customize at a high price, and Golden Cat Ball to develop them at another high price, right?"

[Ding! These two items are indeed models that the host spent a lot of money to have built with an old Ragdoll cat in his previous life, and models that he spent a lot of money to have developed with a golden cat ball.]

Rick: "Then why can't I choose? I paid for the entire under-mounted system to develop it. Under-mounted grenade launcher, under-mounted crossbow, under-mounted shotgun, under-mounted flamethrower—I spent a lot of money to have Ragdoll Old Cat and Golden Cat Ball develop all of these."

[Ding! Host, don't worry. As for why these two are grayed out, this system will explain it to you now. Host, since you've played Escape from Kentucky Mod, you should know that Escape from Kentucky Mod not only has three weapon selection boxes, but also three attachment selection boxes, right?]

Rick: "Huh? I really didn't pay much attention to that. Could you explain in more detail?"

[Ding! There are three types of accessory selection boxes: Standard, Advanced, and Top-Tier. These boxes contain different accessories. Most other accessories are from the Standard box, but some accessories, like the underbarrel attachments, are only available from the Advanced box. Since the Beowulf assault rifle is from the Advanced box, the host can unlock those underbarrel functions. However, the underbarrel multi-function mine launcher and the underbarrel hurricane multi-function launcher are from the Top-Tier box. To unlock these two accessories, the host only needs to collect two Top-Tier boxes.]

Rick: "System, system, does this mean that after using the weapon full-equipment voucher on the Barrett XM109 sniper grenade launcher, I can use any attachment I want?"

[Ding! Yes, host. The Barrett XM109 sniper grenade launcher is from the top-tier weapon selection box. Any weapon from this box can be equipped with any attachments without restriction after using the weapon full-equipment voucher.]

Having understood, Rick ignored the system and continued his weapon DIY. This time, Rick came to the scopes. Seeing the dazzling array of scopes, Rick didn't panic. Instead, he quickly found the "Nightcrawler System," which could switch between thermal imaging and night vision. This scope was a high-tech scope that could adjust the distance, and it was even among the top three of all scopes. Rick chose this one not only because it was easy to use, but also because this accessory could be obtained from the advanced weapon accessory selection box. Other scopes could be obtained from the ordinary weapon accessory selection box, and Rick didn't want to waste this opportunity. In addition, this scope looked cool and was no worse than other scopes (for the design of this scope, please refer to the girl on the cover of this book. The weapon she is holding is equipped with the Nightcrawler System. Of course, that weapon is not Beowulf. That weapon is another top-level weapon that surpasses Beowulf, which will be discussed later).

Next up is the infrared. This time, Rick didn't hesitate and directly chose the dual symmetrical laser infrared, simply because this accessory is also in the advanced weapon accessory selection box. Moreover, the laser infrared of this accessory has a longer range than other accessories, and it even carries a mini tactical light at the bottom. In other words, this accessory is equivalent to having an accessory with a laser infrared and a tactical light on each side.

Rick chose the underbarrel crossbow as his attachment, simply because it was essentially the same model as the crossbow he had used before, only smaller. It used the same bolts and steel balls, and could even fire multi-purpose arrows, such as incendiary arrows, explosive arrows, smoke arrows, stun grenade arrows, and poison smoke arrows. While it might seem odd to use this attachment on a .50 caliber assault rifle, the Beowulf assault rifle is significantly noisier than other firearms, so for safety reasons, this was the only option left. Furthermore, selecting this attachment automatically unlocks the multi-purpose arrows, which is one of the advantages.

For a special accessory, Rick chose the Zombie Radar, a high-end firearm accessory that can display the location of zombies within a 100-meter radius. Even zombies that are playing dead cannot escape the eyes of this high-tech detector.

For accessories, Rick chose one with special attributes. This accessory is designed as a miniature thief in cartoon style. Its unique property is that killing a zombie while wielding any weapon with this accessory automatically acquires the zombie's valuables, converting them into points. In other words, if a zombie adorned with gold and silver appears, killing it with a weapon equipped with this accessory will automatically convert its gold and silver into points. Essentially, the richer the zombie, the more points you gain from killing it. This accessory is considered a high-level weapon accessory.

Regarding weapon skins, Rick only chose the Stalker skin, which reduces the probability of being detected when firing. This skin reduces the probability of the user being detected by firing by 50%.

In other words, when a weapon is equipped with the Stalker skin, firing a shot will reduce the probability of being detected by zombies. That is, if you use Beowulf to fire a shot, zombies that hear the gunshot will move towards you, but if Beowulf has the Stalker skin equipped, there is a 50% chance that the zombies will ignore the gunshot and continue to stand still.

Rick successfully crafted the Beowulf assault rifle and placed it in the system inventory. Looking at his remaining 10 points, Rick spent another 6 points to exchange for two boxes (3 points each) of 50 Beowulf ammunition (100 rounds per box).

Looking at his remaining 4 points, Rick felt like crying. It was like going back to square one. He had spent all the points he had earned in the past two days on this Beowulf assault rifle. Fortunately, the weapon's strength was well worth the points. As long as he used this weapon to kill the zombies turned rich people in the rich district, he would earn back his points sooner or later. Anyway, he had other ways to earn points. When conditions allowed, he would exchange them for this powerful weapon for Daryl, Moore, and Sean.

Thinking of this, Rick did not immediately materialize the weapon. After all, he had already given the backpack to Moore, and if a cool and invincible weapon appeared out of thin air, it would probably scare the group to death.

Having finished speaking

Rick addressed the group, “Everyone, stick close to me. There are still a lot of zombies downstairs, but with me and Moore here, as long as you stay close and don’t do anything reckless, we’ll be fine. Soldier Moore, did you hear that? Your mission is to cover the rear of the team and provide cover!”

Moore: "Yes, Boss, I promise I won't abandon anyone!"

After packing their things, the group looked at Rick and then at Moore, and then joined the group. Rick led the way, with the others behind him, while Moore stayed at the very back to cover the rear and prevent zombies from suddenly attacking them.

With everything ready, Rick led the group off!
