Yan Zuozuo was pinned to the bed by him, her arms around his neck, their tongues intertwined, their bodies pressed tightly together.

"Thank you," she whispered, catching her breath. If it weren't for his guidance, she might have been lost in a dead end.

Chi Moqing's lips curled slightly; he loved the way the little woman in his arms blushed and looked shy. The next second, he held her head tightly, deepening the kiss, domineering and urgent, as if he wanted to devour her whole.

Yan Zuozuo let out a muffled groan, feeling like she was going to die in his arms. Chi Moqing finally released her, but instead of leaving, he quickly removed their clothes, revealing a seductive scene.

Yan Zuozuo felt like she was being completely drained by Chi Moqing, and she lay on the bed, not wanting to move at all. Meanwhile, the contented man was happily preparing dinner in the kitchen.

She pouted unhappily. It was always the same. She was always the passive one, but she ended up exhausted. On the other hand, the one who did the work was always full of energy. The more she thought about it, the more dissatisfied she became. She walked to the kitchen in her pajamas.

Chi Moqing was cooking when he suddenly felt a pain in his back. He smiled and teased, "Not full yet?"

"Chi Moqing!" Yan Zuozuo said coquettishly, and bit him on the back again.

Chi Moqing chuckled softly, imagining the girl's blushing face. He loved teasing her, loved seeing her flustered and helpless. He never knew he could be so mischievous; just looking at her embarrassed little face made him feel warm and happy.

During dinner, Chi Moqing took a bottle of red wine from the wine cabinet, but before he could open it, Yan Zuozuo snatched it away. "No drinking!" His stomach wasn't good, and he was so unrestrained; it was really too much. Although she couldn't control his socializing outside, she had to keep him in check at home. And…

Yan Zuozuo glared at Chi Moqing resentfully, recalling the time she got drunk. This guy was a schemer, a malicious liar. So, she wasn't going to fall for his tricks again this time.

"Just a little bit," Chi Moqing said with a smile.

"Absolutely not!" Yan Zuozuo's attitude was firm, leaving no room for negotiation. She turned around and put the red wine back, muttering discontentedly, "You're a cunning wolf. Who knows if you'll lie to me again?"

Chi Moqing laughed upon hearing this, finding every day spent with Yan Zuozuo both interesting and peaceful.

Yan Zuozuo insisted on washing the dishes, and Chi Moqing could only let her. After a while, he said, "Let's go to the hospital to see Mom later."

"No need, Uncle Mu is with us, we'll only feel uncomfortable if we go." Yan Zuozuo washed the dishes, dried them, and put them in the cupboard.

Chi Moqing didn't insist. Recently, there had been a lot of trouble with the bidding case, so he had to work overtime and even bring his work home.

Yan Zuozuo brewed fruit tea, but Chi Moqing clearly didn't like it. He looked at Yan Zuozuo with a wronged expression, "I want to drink Tieguanyin."

“Drinking tea at night isn’t good for your sleep, so drink this instead.” Yan Zuozuo ignored his accusing expression, lowered her head and kissed him on the cheek. “Work hard and be good, don’t make a fuss.”

Chi Moqing suddenly felt like he was being coaxed like a child. He looked at her with a half-smile and said, "My wife's maternal instincts are so overflowing, our baby should be arriving soon, right?" As he spoke, he reached out to touch her lower abdomen.

Yan Zuozuo slapped it away: "Get back to work!"

Chi Moqing laughed and pulled her into his arms, nibbling restlessly at her earlobe. "I probably won't be able to sleep until later tonight, so don't wait for me."

Yan Zuozuo pushed his face away, nodded and said, "Don't overwork yourself." Ignoring his attempts to stop her, she went straight out.

She didn't go straight to her room to sleep, but instead sat in the living room watching TV. She watched for an unknown amount of time before falling asleep without realizing it. When Chi Moqing came out of the study, he saw her asleep on the sofa.

He smiled helplessly, squatted down, and carried her back to the room. Yan Zuozuo woke up at his slight movement, rubbed her eyes, and was still a little confused, "Are you done with your work?"

"Why don't you go back to your room to sleep? It'll be uncomfortable to sleep here again."

Yan Zuozuo seemed to have finally woken up, paused for a moment and said, "I just realized something."

"what's up?"

"I want to rest for a while, I don't want to work anymore." She looked at him nervously, "Will you think I'm just eating and drinking for free?"

Chi Moqing chuckled softly, "Taking care of my wife is what I should do, how could I possibly look down on you?"

Yan Zuozuo smiled, her eyes crinkling.

Yan Zuozuo was never one to drag things out; once she decided to resign, she didn't hesitate any longer. The next morning, she typed up her resignation letter and knocked on the door of the design director's office.

The design director, upon seeing Yan Zuozuo, immediately smiled, confidently waiting for her to compromise. "Sit down."

Yan Zuozuo sat in front of him, looking at him with a detached gaze.

"Have you received a reply?" the design director asked tentatively. He knew very well how much Yan Zuozuo loved her design work and was certain she wouldn't give it up. He was just being cautious, however, and that's why he spoke up.

Yan Zuozuo nodded: "I've thought it through."

The design director was overjoyed, but asked casually, "So..." If Yan Zuozuo agreed, the company would not only get the project from the competing team, but also win the bidding project from the Chi family. As a result, the company's senior management would naturally look at him differently, and he would naturally get more shares in the year-end distribution.

Yan Zuozuo didn't say anything, but simply pushed the resignation letter in her hand in front of the design director.

The design director, who had been all smiles, froze when he saw the resignation letter, his smile vanishing. He abruptly looked up, his face darkening as he stared at Yan Zuozuo. "What do you mean by this!"

He thought it was a sure thing, but he never expected such a result. His previous promise to the CEO was just a load of rubbish! He had thought Yan Zuozuo would refuse, but as long as she was still in the company, they had plenty of ways to make her compromise. But now she had resigned directly. What were they supposed to do?

Yan Zuozuo remained calm and composed: "I've been here since I graduated, and it's been three years. I'm not without feelings for this place, but I really can't stay any longer. With such a big accident happening this time, consider this my way of taking responsibility and resigning."

The design director glared at her angrily, his tone sharp, "You need to understand, the mess you've made this time is huge. Do you think you can solve the problem by doing this? What about the company's losses? Do you know this plan is related to the company's profits for the second half of the year! If you resign, who will take responsibility!"

Yan Zuozuo laughed sarcastically: "I have no responsibility. Doesn't the director know better than anyone else?"

The design director was taken aback, then looked away. "The design was leaked from your computer. If you're not responsible, then who is?"

"What does the director think?" Yan Zuozuo asked in a light tone, staring straight at the design director. "Cui Guangyuan treated me to a meal before he left."

The design director's face instantly turned ugly. He clenched his fist and tentatively asked, "Why...why are you telling me this?"

He had been plotting this with the CEO for a long time; could it be that Cui Guangyuan leaked it in the end?

Yan Zuozuo looked at the design director with a half-smile. She had worked under him since graduation, always believing him to be a good person—upright, kind, and kind to her, even generously sharing his knowledge. Therefore, she held him in high esteem, and if she could, she hoped to stay working under him forever. But now…

She shook her head in disappointment, without saying a word, and simply placed her phone on the table. Then, Cui Guangyuan's voice came through the phone.

The design director froze, glancing at her guiltily. After a long pause, he said, "What does this prove? How do I know if you conspired together? Are you trying to absolve yourself of responsibility with this?"

Yan Zuozuo was increasingly disappointed. She sighed and said, "Since the director thinks so, then let's call the police. While we're at it, let's also find out about the leak of my design drawings last time. I have serious doubts about the results last time." She paused and stared at the design director. "And about me being locked in the warehouse... I may not be smart, but I'm not so stupid as to be framed and then work for someone else."

The design director clenched his fist. He had initially thought she was just talented in design but slow to understand other things. He hadn't expected that she actually understood everything, but simply couldn't be bothered with such trivial matters.

"Have you ever thought that if you really resign, your reputation in the industry will be ruined, and then will any company still want you?" the design director threatened.

“I know exactly what you’re up to, but it seems the director has forgotten that when you try to use me and frame me, do you think Chi Moqing will just sit idly by? He’s my husband. Even if I let this go, do you think he will?”

The design director was taken aback; he had never thought about this question before.

"Don't even mention that you won't win the Chi Group's bid. With the Chi Group's power, it would be a piece of cake for them to bring down Fan Hua Design." Yan Zuozuo sneered, seeing that the design director was speechless, she knew he was frightened. She stood up and bowed to him, "I am very grateful for the care the director has given me over the past three years. Take care."

The design director watched her leave, his face ashen. He clenched his fist, then suddenly swept everything on the table to the floor. Damn it! Damn it, damn it!

If Chi Moqing really had interfered in this matter, not only would the Chi family have failed to win the bid, but, as Yan Zuozuo said, the entire Fan Hua Design Group might have been wiped out. Now, not only did their scheme fail, they've lost everything!

Yan Zuozuo came out of the design director's office and began packing her things to leave. Since she didn't have anything to hand over, she looked around, took a deep breath, and picked up her things to leave.

Her colleagues exchanged bewildered glances, and several came over to ask her what was wrong. She simply smiled and said nothing, heading straight for the elevator. Unexpectedly, it was Cai Keren who ended up seeing her off downstairs.

"Actually, I should congratulate you," Cai Keren said after looking at her for a while.

Yan Zuozuo didn't speak, paused, and then gave her several books on design that she had treasured over the years. "Consider this a thank you gift, and I also congratulate you on finally getting rid of me."

Cai Keren was a little surprised, but she still took the book, shrugged and said, "Then I'll give you a piece of advice: don't be too upright, or you won't get along anywhere."

Yan Zuozuo glanced at her and said, "But don't be too optimistic. If you want to make it in this field, your professional skills should come first." After saying that, she left without looking back.

Cai Keren glanced at her retreating figure, then at the book in her hand, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. She really disliked Yan Zuozuo; it seemed she had always been better to her in every way, so she felt envious, jealous, and resentful, wishing she could get rid of her. But now that she was really leaving, she was surprisingly sentimental.

She pursed her lips, shaking off those chaotic thoughts, and went upstairs. Days without Yan Zuozuo were the best; her rival was finally gone.
