The Space Marines immediately engaged in battle, rapidly moving towards the Astronauts, their heavy bombardment rifles firing incessantly, quickly carving a path through the massive horde of insects.

The Space Marines' combat prowess is far beyond that of ordinary humans; these ordinary Bladebugs are utterly powerless against them.

"Commissar Kane, I am Van Grey, the Chapter Commander of the Silver Knights." As Van Grey spoke, he took off his silver helmet, revealing a resolute and decisive face and a gleaming bald head.

Commissar Kane looked like a child standing in front of Van Grey; he had to look up to speak to this giant, who was nearly three and a half meters tall and wore Terminator power armor.

"Lord Van Grey, thank you for your assistance, but aren't our numbers too few?" Commissar Kane raised his question.

Van Grey chuckled and said, "I've fought the Zerg before and I know very well that they win by sheer numbers. The reinforcements that have come this time are not just these six Space Marines, but also about 100,000 Cadian Legion warriors. They are the main force in this war. They are responsible for eliminating massive numbers of Zerg, while we are responsible for killing the Zerg hive overlord."

Commissar Kane breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing that reinforcements from the Cadian Legion had arrived; with these soldiers joining the fray, victory in this battle was assured.

"We thank Lord Van Grey for his reinforcements. On behalf of the Star Forces, Commissar Kane salutes you!"

Van Grey nodded and said: "We will launch a general offensive once the Cadian Legion arrives."

Once a Cardia Commando has served for more than five years and has the approval of the political commissar, he can apply to join the "Cardian" Legion. If he can serve in the Cardian Legion for more than five years and has the approval of the Imperial high command, he can apply to join "Kashejin".

Their ranks differ, and so do the enemies they face. The Cardia Commandos primarily confront various mortal rebellions, while the Cardia Legion faces far more powerful adversaries such as the Zerg, Orcs, Eldar, Ridgelings, and Demons.

"Kashejin" primarily targets the Chaos Space Marines.

With the addition of Space Marines, the pressure on the Astronauts was greatly reduced.

Russell's battery is dead, and he's now fighting with an entrenching tool, which greatly reduces his killing efficiency. Most importantly, he's too weak to fight the bugs head-on and can only pick off the stragglers.

Not long after, a huge Thunder Eagle troop transport aircraft slowly descended from the sky.

After the hatch opened, the soldiers of the Kadian Legion rushed out.

A beam of scorched yellow laser shot out, piercing through two blade-like insects that were trying to rush onto the transport aircraft.

The first to rush out were the soldiers of the Cadian Legion, who crouched on either side of the hatch and fired at the swarm of insects. The bullets fired by their laser guns were completely different from those of the Cadia Commandos. The most obvious difference was the color: one was silver, and the other was burnt yellow. Another difference was the power. The silver laser could kill a Blade Bug but could not penetrate two Blade Bugs. It was clear that the laser guns used by the Cadian Legion were far superior to those used by the Cadia Commandos in both power and range.

The Kadian Legion warriors who rushed out did not run around randomly, but instead formed a defensive line and a laser fire net.

Soon a large open space was cleared, and nine more Thunder Eagle troop transport aircraft landed, followed by squads of neatly dressed soldiers from the Kadian Legion.

A political commissar approached Van Grey and saluted, saying: "Your Excellency Van Grey, the 17th Regiment of the Cadian Legion is reporting for duty and awaits your inspection."

Van Grey smiled and said: "I salute your marshal. I am very grateful to him for sending you to help us. How is the war on Planet 774 going?"

"The orcs are far stronger and more resilient than we imagined, and the war is still at a stalemate."

Van Grey nodded and said, "Once I've dealt with these bugs, we'll go to Planet 774 together."

"Welcome to the Silver Knights' assistance! On behalf of the General, I thank you!"

"This is Commissar Kane. He discovered the insects on this planet and immediately asked me for help. Our next task is to eliminate the insects. We are responsible for killing the insect hive overlord."

The two political commissars shook hands and got to know each other after being introduced by Van Gret.

Commissar Kane said: "Thank you so much for coming. The Zerg hatchery is not far ahead. What we need to do is simple: advance to the hatchery and destroy it completely."

"The 17th Regiment of Kadian will follow the orders of Political Commissar Kane."

Commissar Kane had never imagined that he would one day be able to command the elite Cadian Legion of 100,000 men. He was so flattered that he was speechless for a moment, and could only nod and say: Prepare to attack!

This was Russell's first time seeing the Cadian Legion. He had heard of it before and knew it was the Empire's elite legion, but seeing it in person still gave him quite a shock.

In every aspect, the Cadian Legion is a level above the Cadia Commando: their laser guns, tactical armor, overall military bearing, discipline, and combat skills.

The Cadian Legion not only brought a large number of warriors but also supplies, and the remaining Astragalus troops received a replenishment of ammunition.

Russell received a supply of four batteries, and the Catachan men's heavy machine guns also received a supply of ammunition.

The Cadian Legion's attack was not chaotic at all, but very well-organized. They formed a huge triangular formation, with the outermost warriors firing continuously to hold off the insects, while the inner warriors did not fire but waited for their comrades to replace them after they had used up their batteries.

This attack is highly efficient, killing large numbers of insects while steadily advancing.

As for Russell and his colleagues, they were completely relegated to minor roles.

When they got close enough to the hatching pool, everyone heard a tremendous roar.

Everyone knew that this was the roar of the Zerg hive overlord.

Hearing this roar, everyone tensed up. This roar proved that the overlord of the insect hive was enraged and was about to launch its most powerful counterattack.

A "Warrior Bug" burst out from the swarm and charged toward the Cadian Legion warriors, its goal simple: to tear apart the Cadian Legion's defenses.

When the giant warrior worm was less than fifty meters from the Cadian Legion's lines, a silver giant descended from the sky, its massive iron fist smashing into the worm's head.

With a loud "boom," the warrior insect was sent flying, then crashed heavily to the ground, killing a large number of knife insects.

The silver giant strode to the side of the samurai insect and punched it again as it tried to get up. The punch slammed heavily into the samurai insect's breastplate, shattering the breastplate that was strong enough to withstand a bomb gun.
