Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 47 Main Quest in Progress

After dinner, in the study room on the fifth floor.

Since there were already two study rooms, each room wasn't too crowded; most people were sitting together in small groups of roommates or friends. Most were doing their homework, while a few young wizards occasionally tried using levitation charms to make their feathers float, but for some reason, they all failed—perhaps due to insufficient magic power. Nevertheless, everyone's enthusiasm was high.

Just as the young wizards were whispering among themselves, the door to the study room opened. Bernhard, his roommate Drew, and Hufflepuff's prefect, Sharon Dempsey, entered the classroom together. Originally, it was just Bernhard and Drew, but they happened to run into Sharon Dempsey, who also wanted to practice her magic, so the three of them came together.

The three had barely sat down when the energetic Joanna arrived with her roommate, Cindy Richardson. Joanna immediately began urging her boyfriend to cast the Levitation Charm for her. The classroom fell silent as almost all the young wizards secretly glanced at Bernhard.

Bernhard lived up to expectations, placing a feather on the table under the watchful eyes of his girlfriend and the young wizards. He then began waving his wand and chanting a spell. Amidst gasps of amazement, the feather successfully floated into the sky. The previously quiet classroom erupted in hushed discussions once more. The young wizards, forgetting about their homework, began practicing their spells, targeting all sorts of unusual objects. Some had brought their own feathers, while others used the books they had brought.

Two audacious young Gryffindor wizards even targeted each other with spells, resulting in a reprimand from Bernhard and other prefects, and each losing a point. This also drew angry glares from the other Gryffindors—the first time in the new school's history that points had been deducted. Fortunately, the Gryffindors didn't pursue the matter further; while school honor was important, so was understanding and embracing one's peers.

“Dear Joanna, your wrist is too stiff. You need to flick the wand while chanting the spell,” Bernhard corrected his girlfriend’s hand gesture. He had a keen sense that Joanna should be able to cast the spell successfully soon. However, her gesture was a little off. Sure enough, when Joanna tried again, the feather successfully floated into the air once more.

"Wow, that's amazing, honey, look, I did it!" Joanna said excitedly, hugging Bernhard. Since they were in the classroom, she didn't dare to be too outrageous, but she still gave Bernhard a kiss on the cheek to praise him for his good teaching.

Seeing that Joanna could cast spells on her own, Bernhard also began to practice magic. However, the objects of his spells were no longer the light, floating feather, but gradually became more sophisticated, first books and then tables and chairs. Due to the excessive number of spells Bernhard cast, he even showed signs of magical exhaustion, causing him to feel dizzy.

Because he nearly fell during his spellcasting, Joanna and the others, along with Bernhard's roommate, quickly escorted him back to his dormitory to rest. Joanna even went to her headmaster, Professor McGonagall, who, upon arriving at Hufflepuff's common room and seeing Bernhard resting on his bed, addressed those around her...

“You’ve just managed to cast the spell, and your magic isn’t very stable yet, so don’t cast spells at high intensity in a short period of time. Benhard is fine. I’ll have the house-elves bring him a cup of hot cocoa and some sugary drinks later; they’ll be good for his recovery.”

So, a reminder appeared on the bulletin board the next day: that the young wizards should remain calm after suddenly gaining the ability to cast spells and not deplete their magical energy.

In the days that followed, more and more young wizards began to be able to cast spells, and so, in every corner where the young wizards appeared, strange things could be seen flying in the sky. Or seemingly insignificant little objects would suddenly transform into something else.

Time flew by, and it was the evening of September 30th. Our Principal Andres was diligently reading when suddenly a system notification lit up.

"Congratulations, host, on completing the main quest (3): Successfully casting spells on 65/68 students within one month (perfect). The system rewards are as follows: 2,000 system points, two Hogwarts Castle cards, one professor card, one magical pet card, ten magic books, five recovery potions, and ten cold medicines."

"Through the efforts of all teachers and students, the vast majority of young wizards have successfully cast spells. While focusing on their studies, we should also pay attention to their happy growth. Main quest (fourth): To ensure that children receive education while growing up happily. Please allow students to experience the joy of magic within one month. As usual, quest rewards will be evaluated based on quest completion."

Andres was practically tearing his hair out when he saw this mission. What the hell? "Happy Education"? I think I've only ever heard of that in my past life. We were working from 7 am to 10 pm, okay? "Happy" and all that? That's something only the US does! Wait, am I now the US's lackey? Oh well, never mind.

"System, how do you determine if the task is completed? After all, happiness doesn't have a concrete form!" "Currently, the students' happiness level is around 30/100. Your goal is to raise this number as high as possible. Forty percent is passing, fifty percent is good, sixty percent is excellent, and over seventy percent is perfect. Please do your best, host!"

Okay, system, you win. Who told you to be the cheat code, you get to call the shots!

Andres checked his system points and saw that he had earned a total of 2,040 by September 30th, plus the 2,000 points from completing the system task. That made a total of 4,040. However, he had already spent 100 points at the beginning of the semester, leaving him with 3,940. So tonight was destined to be another night of impulsive spending.

Then I looked at the two potions. To you seasoned readers, the recovery potion is just a cheap bottle. But is it really that simple? Recovery potions from the magical world are considered miracle cures in the Muggle world, because unless you're fatally wounded and die instantly, as long as you're still breathing... Come on, drink this recovery potion. When you'll die is unknown for now, but certainly not now. As long as you can buy some time, a cure will eventually come.

However, recovery potions are more effective against external injuries; they can basically heal all external wounds, but forget about limb regeneration. Recovery potions are useless against internal injuries. Although your health will increase, the damage from internal injuries will continue until you eventually die.

Andres thought about it and agreed. Having this thing meant he had a way to save his life, as long as he wasn't unlucky enough to get his head blown off. Of course, with his current level of magic, he wouldn't be killed outright.

As for the cold medicine, it smelled like smelly socks. Therefore, Andres refused to drink it. He preferred hot water, so perhaps he should leave it for the younger wizards to try? This thought flashed through Andres's mind.
