Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 46 Successful Spellcasting

"Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration class was so cool! I was sitting in the front row. You know, the lion's roar almost shattered my eardrums," Jean exclaimed excitedly to Jerome while eating his food.

“Oh, Jeanne, of course I know, in fact I’m sitting right next to you!” Jerome looked at Jeanne with an expression as if she were an idiot.

"Huh? Hahahaha, sorry, sorry Jerome, I'm just too excited! The thought of us being able to use Transfiguration Charms as freely as Professor McGonagall in the future is making me very excited."

"Don't get too excited yet. You should first make sure you can cast spells. Um, could you please pass me that ice cream? I've almost finished eating it."

"Hmm? So fast? You should eat more, Jerome. You're too thin! If you're in a hurry to go back and rest, you can go back first. You don't have to wait for me."

"It's okay, we don't have any classes this afternoon anyway. You eat quickly, and then go back and rest for a while. We'll go to the study room to do our homework this afternoon."

At the teachers' table, Andres looked at the young wizards below, whose Charms and Transfiguration classes had all improved to varying degrees. In addition, some of them had more or less increased their Thoughts attribute.

Most of them are like this: Today's class was so cool. I loved Professor So-and-so's class. I must study magic hard so I can show it to my family when I go home for vacation, and so on.

Seeing these changes, Andres was quite happy, at least it showed that the young wizards were now very enthusiastic about learning magic.

Time quickly passed to the afternoon of the second Monday, which was the eighth afternoon after the start of the school year. In the Charms classroom, Professor Flitwick was teaching Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Charms.

Professor Flitwick gave the young wizards a detailed explanation of the Levitation Charm today. Although he understood that the young wizards were currently gathering magic, Professor Flitwick still called on Diane's name to give it a try.

“Miss Diane Bryan, could you demonstrate it to everyone? It doesn’t matter if it’s successful or not, I will correct some problems with your spellcasting.”

“I’ll give it a try, Professor. I can’t guarantee I’ll succeed.” Under the watchful eyes of Flitwick and the many young wizards, Diane waved her wand.

"Yugadimurleviosa~"

As Diane chanted the spell, the feather on the table suddenly moved, beginning to float upwards. Our student council president, realizing her spell had succeeded, wasn't overly excited. Instead, she used her wand to direct the feather to fly even further away.

The students in the classroom watched quietly as the feather flew up, then burst into exclamations and discussions, because although they had been invited to study at Hogwarts, none of them had been able to successfully cast a spell.

And today, right there in the Charms class, Diane became the first to successfully cast a spell. This gave them a lot of confidence, because once someone succeeds, there will be a second, and so on, until even more people succeed.

“Excellent, fantastic! Ravenclaw gets a ten-point bonus for Miss Diane's beautiful spell. Alright, everyone, what are you waiting for? Miss Diane has given a successful demonstration; you should all try it too!”

“Wow, Diane! You’re amazing! You can cast spells now!” Melissa shook Diane’s arm frantically.

"Okay, okay, let go! You're shaking me to pieces! I never thought I could successfully cast the spell. You should try it too, what if you succeed!" Diane controlled her excitement; successfully casting the spell had thrilled her. She constantly reminded herself to stay calm; after all, she was the first president of the girls' council, it was only right that she be at the forefront of magic!

And just like that, the whole class was quite different from before. Everyone burst into boundless enthusiasm, waving their wands, and for the rest of the time, only Hufflepuff's prefect, Bernhard, successfully made a feather float again. Therefore, Hufflepuff earned five points.

Melissa's attention wasn't fully focused, and the feather flew up uncontrollably and fell down. But this still made Melissa very happy, at least it proved that she could cast spells!

"Alright, that concludes today's lesson. Practice your spells diligently after class; I believe you'll all succeed soon. get out of class dismissed!" Professor Flitwick announced, giving Diane a few words of advice as he left.

"Don't be arrogant. This is just the beginning of your magical journey. You still need to work hard. In your spare time, you can try other spells. First-year magic is usually not too difficult."

"Thank you, Professor. I understand. I will try my best." After packing her things, she and her roommates left. They didn't go back to the lounge but went straight to the auditorium on the first floor to have dinner. They planned to go to the study room to practice magic after dinner. Diane's successful spellcasting greatly stimulated their enthusiasm for learning.

During dinner, the Slytherins and Gryffindors watched in bewilderment as the other two houses were filled with an enthusiastic atmosphere, wondering what was going on. It wasn't until they heard from acquaintances on the Knight Bus that they learned someone had successfully cast a spell in Charms class that day. They were astonished, as no one had managed to cast a spell successfully during their morning class. This greatly encouraged them; they believed they could do it too! As a result, both study rooms were packed with students after dinner.

During the meal, Joanna Hampton of Gryffindor ran up to Hufflepuff and sat down next to Bernhard, asking, "I heard someone in your Charms class successfully cast a spell? Is it true? Tell me about it."

“Of course it’s true. There are two people who successfully cast the spell: one is Diane, the student council president, and the other is your boyfriend, Bernhard.” It was Drew, Bernhard’s roommate, who answered Joanna before Bernhard could reply.

"Huh? Is this true? Darling, can you show me?" Joanna sweetly shook Bernhard's arm, while the Hufflepuffs beside them watched them with gossipy expressions.

“Now is not the time, everyone is having dinner. How about we go to the study room to practice together after dinner?” Bernhard’s face flushed slightly.

"Okay, it's settled then! You eat quickly, I'll go back to Gryffindor first. I need to go back to the common room to get my books after I finish eating." Joanna gave Bernhard a light hug and ran back to the long table in Gryffindor.

Andres, who was sitting at the teachers' table, naturally heard the students' discussions below. He opened the system and looked at the attribute panels of Diane and Bernhard.

On the attribute panel, it's clear that Diane's Charms class level is highlighted by a blue circle indicating level 1, while Bernhard's is highlighted by a tan circle indicating level 1 as well.
