Huh? There's a magic school here.

Chapter 102 Hogwarts Castle Upgrade

Andres was overjoyed when he saw the system notification.

The system message is quite clear: Hogsmeade Village is not just a simple place selling food and drinks like in the novels. Since it's for helping with school construction, they probably won't be giving wands to the young wizards like they did last year; the young wizards don't even have the right to choose their wands!

Andres didn't rush to upgrade the castle; he decided to observe the situation first. So he turned his attention to the next step of the main quest!

The system has released the main quest (six): Having completed your first year, you're now familiar with everything at the school. The next step is to expand enrollment! Enroll 0/200 students for the new semester. Quest completion reward: One Hogwarts Express train. Rewards for any additional enrollment will be assessed based on the number of students exceeding the enrollment limit.

Great! Now even the method for students to get to Hogwarts is solved! Andres was originally worried about how to get eight hundred students to Hogwarts, since the Knight Bus couldn't possibly transport so many people to the school at once. They couldn't possibly go door-to-door to pick them up like last year; that would be such a waste of time!

With the Hogwarts Express, students could be transported all at once from London. However, considering the large number of students arriving at once, the Sorting process would take a long time. Therefore, Andres considered having new students arrive in batches, which would greatly reduce the pressure during the Sorting.

Lost in thought, Andres fell asleep.

The next day, June 6th. The weather was cloudy.

After breakfast, the young wizards gradually arrived at the square outside the castle with their luggage.

They were all waiting for the Knight Bus to arrive.

Some students who weren't leaving yet came to see their friends off.

"Beretta, remember to write to me! You're welcome to come visit me sometime!"

“I will, Erlinda! But I need to go find Marfa first to learn archery; that's what I promised him!”

"And Beretta, remember to water my sunflowers!"

"Okay, but weren't you going to take it home? Why did you leave it in the dorm?"

"After thinking about it, I decided to keep this pot of sunflowers for myself. I also exchanged some seeds with Professor Sprout, which will make it easier to carry around."

"Okay, have a great holiday!"

"I will! I miss my mom's cooking so much!"

Jerome, Fabio, and Anil, who had just arrived, were all carrying luggage, while Jeanne arrived empty-handed.

"Jeanno, we'll be going now! Remember to call us when you get home!"

"No problem, but you'll have to wait until the end of the month! I'll be leaving school last."

"Hehehe, be careful when you're forging iron! I never thought my roommate would be a blacksmith."

"Get out of here, and you'll become a blacksmith! Oh, right! You'll never become one, because you don't even have the strength to swing a hammer!"

"You bastard, you're just jealous that I can go home, drink Coke, and play video games!"

"What's so enviable about that stuff? I've never even tried it! The coach said it's no good and will only ruin our health!"

Amidst the commotion, they awaited the arrival of the Knight Bus. Those leaving and those seeing them off waved goodbye to their companions. The remaining young wizards all returned to their dormitories, and it wasn't until dinnertime that they all ate together at one table. Andres counted, and only fifteen young wizards remained.

In the days that followed, Beretta and Jeanne would travel together to the Forbidden Forest, where an adult centaur would ferry them there each day. Sometimes, if it got too late, they would stay overnight in a centaur village.

During this time, Beretta and Malfa practiced archery together in the Forbidden Forest. Unbeknownst to them, Beretta's survival skills in the jungle improved, and she also learned about many plants and animals she had never seen before. Meanwhile, because Malfa spent every day with Beretta, its human language skills improved significantly. Now it speaks human language quite fluently.

On the other side, under the guidance of old Rand, Jean-Jacques became more and more proficient in crafting simple iron products. In the following days, he even began to create some unique items according to some of the old Rand's instructions.

These items delighted old Rand, while Jeanne looked utterly bewildered. It was just some strange patterns on the items; what was there to be happy about? If Andres were here, he would surely notice that Jeanne had added Ancient Rune Studies to his curriculum.

It turned out that when old Rand was teaching Jean to craft items, he secretly instilled some runes passed down from the centaurs' ancestors into Jean. Jean himself was unaware of this, thinking that these things were just some patterns.

Finally, on June 21st, only Beretta and a Ravenclaw named Colette Franco received guardianship papers to stay at Hogwarts for the summer holidays. This Ravenclaw hawk was the same age as Beretta, and she stayed because her parents were going through a divorce, and no one at home could take care of her, so she asked her parents for the guardianship papers.

Since there were only the two of them during the holiday, Cornet moved to Gryffindor and temporarily became Beretta's roommate.

Just after all the students had left school, leaving only these two little ones, Andres officially upgraded Hogwarts Castle to Level 5 on June 22nd. The first change Andres noticed was the so-called little gift. A tabby cat had suddenly appeared in his headmaster's office, and it was sleeping on Andres's desk.

Huh? Andres paused for a moment, then picked up the tabby cat. The little guy was clearly annoyed at being woken up by Andres, purring threateningly at him. Andres didn't care about that; petting a cat was pure joy!

So Andreas picked up the tabby cat and headed towards the Great Hall, where he spotted three cats of different breeds along the way. There were no cats in Hogwarts Castle before, and now he finally understood that the so-called little gifts were these cats.

Andres called Dobby over and pointed to the tabby cat in his arms.

"Dobby, send the house-elves to find out how many more cats have appeared at our school."

“Yes, Principal Andres.”

A few minutes later, Dobby came to report.

"Principal Andres, we've searched the entire castle, and there are sixteen cats in total!"

"Very good, take good care of them! Make sure they don't go hungry, and if they look sick, go ask Hagrid!"

So, during dinner in the auditorium, Beretta and Collette couldn't take their eyes off the tabby cat.

Unable to bear the sight, Andres had no choice but to obediently hand the tabby cat over to the two little girls to take care of.
