Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 5 The First Signs of Conflict

"Fine, I forgive you," she said softly, her voice revealing a hint of weariness and helplessness. "But I hope you can be more careful and responsible in the future, and that this kind of thing won't happen again."

Upon hearing this, Yan Jingfeng felt a surge of gratitude and respect. Looking into Su Ling's tired yet determined eyes, he knew she was a person worthy of respect and trust. He nodded and solemnly promised, "Don't worry, I will be more cautious and responsible in the future and will not let this happen again."

Su Ling smiled slightly. She knew Yan Jingfeng was a responsible person. She believed he would be more cautious and responsible in the future and wouldn't make the same mistake again. As for herself, she also needed to work harder to improve her strength and wisdom to face all the challenges and dangers of this apocalyptic world.

The night was deep, the moon and stars hidden, and the apocalyptic wind, carrying a biting chill, raged across the desolate land. Su Ling, a woman whose soul transmigrated due to a car accident, was now engaged in a desperate battle with zombies in this post-apocalyptic world.

Her clothes were stained crimson with blood, indistinguishable between her own and the zombies'. Her eyes revealed unwavering resolve and defiance, and she gripped a blood-stained longsword tightly in her hand—her only refuge in this apocalyptic world.

The howls of zombies rose and fell, surging in like a tide, seemingly intent on swallowing Su Ling into the endless darkness. However, Su Ling did not give up. She knew that only by becoming stronger could she protect herself and survive in this apocalyptic world.

During the fierce battle with zombies, Su Ling was accidentally bitten by one. Bright red blood gushed out instantly, mixing with the zombie's stench to create a strange aura. However, just as this aura filled the air, Su Ling suddenly felt a powerful force surge from within her body.

That was her special ability, a weak power that had been dormant within her, but now it had erupted completely due to the stimulation of the zombie blood. She felt as if her body was being filled with an invisible force, and a strange light flickered in her eyes.

"This is...my superpower?" Su Ling was utterly shocked. She had never imagined that she possessed such powerful strength. As she felt the superpower surging within her, an unprecedented sense of confidence welled up inside her.

She wielded her longsword, the blade flashing like lightning, instantly annihilating the surrounding zombies. Her speed and strength astonished even herself. She knew her powers had been upgraded; she was no longer the weak person she once was.

After the battle, Su Ling hid in a basement. She needed to rest and time to adjust to the new power within her. She sat in a corner of the basement, closing her eyes to relax and feel the surge of her inner energy.

As time went by, Su Ling felt her body getting better and better. Her body, which had been weak from a high fever, now seemed to be nourished by an invisible force, becoming increasingly strong. She knew this was a benefit brought to her by her supernatural abilities, the beginning of her growing stronger.

When she emerged from the basement, it was already the next morning. Sunlight filtered through the sparse clouds, bringing a touch of warmth to this apocalyptic world. Su Ling took a deep breath of the fresh air, feeling the surge of her supernatural power within her, and a surge of unprecedented ambition welled up within her.

She decided to become stronger, to protect herself, and to survive in this apocalyptic world. She knew the path was fraught with danger and challenges, but she was prepared.

However, just as she was about to leave, she suddenly encountered a group of people. They were dressed in ancient costumes, with different faces, but their eyes all revealed a kind of determination and indomitable spirit. One of them was particularly tall and straight, holding a long sword, looking heroic and dashing.

"Who are you?" Su Ling asked warily, as she did not know the identities or origins of these people.

"We are the base's patrol team, and I am the captain, Xiao Yutong." The person smiled slightly, their voice clear and pleasant. "And who are you? Why are you here?"

Su Ling was startled upon hearing this; she hadn't expected these people to be the base's patrol team. She had heard the original owner mention the name "base" before, knowing it was a refuge for survivors. She had also heard the name Xiao Yutong in the original owner's memories, knowing her to be a skilled woman with lightning powers.

“My name is Su Ling, and I am a survivor.” She smiled slightly, trying to keep her tone calm. “I’ve rested here for one night and am about to leave.”

However, at that moment, a small monster (zombie) suddenly darted out from the corner. It roared and pounced on the group with astonishing speed. Xiao Yutong and the others immediately drew their swords to fight back, engaging the monster in a fierce battle.

Su Ling immediately joined the battle. She wielded her longsword and fought fiercely with the monsters. Her swordsmanship was sharp and accurate, each strike aimed directly at the monsters' vital points. However, the monsters were exceptionally cunning and always managed to skillfully dodge her attacks.

During the battle, Su Ling gradually discovered her shortcomings. Although her swordsmanship was sharp, it lacked variation and was always predicted by the monsters. She knew she needed greater strength and more refined swordsmanship to deal with the dangers of this apocalyptic world.
