Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 4 The First Appearance in Another World

"Yan Jingfeng, how could you be so heartless!" Su Ling cursed inwardly. She knew that Yan Jingfeng was the captain of the original owner's team and someone she had once trusted. However, he abandoned her at the crucial moment and put her to death.

Su Ling suppressed her grief and anger; she knew this was not the time to complain. She had to escape this dangerous place as soon as possible, or she would become food for zombies, just like the original owner of this body.

She looked around and found the auditorium filled with zombies. They roared and lunged towards her. Su Ling's heart tightened; she knew she had to find a way out as soon as possible.

Just then, she suddenly noticed a hidden basement entrance in a corner of the auditorium. Overjoyed, she immediately ran in that direction. However, as soon as she reached the entrance, she discovered that a zombie was also perched on the basement door.

The zombie had a hideous face and emitted nauseating hissing sounds. It seemed to sense Su Ling's presence and immediately pounced on her. Su Ling was startled, but found herself unable to move. She knew her body was still very weak and no match for the zombie.

However, at that moment, she suddenly felt a strange power surge from her mind. That power seemed to be connected to her spirit, allowing her to perceive everything around her. Overjoyed, she immediately used that power to control the zombie.

Surprisingly, the zombie was actually controlled by her mental power. It stopped roaring and attacking, and obediently lay down on the basement door. Su Ling breathed a sigh of relief and immediately took the opportunity to open the basement door and hide inside.

The basement was pitch black, filled with a nauseating stench of decay. Su Ling suppressed her discomfort and peered around in the dim light. She discovered that the basement was piled high with zombie corpses, and strange energy fluctuations lingered on them.

"This is..." Su Ling was startled. She suddenly realized that those energy fluctuations were actually connected to her mental power. She seemed to be able to sense the mental remnants in those zombie corpses, and even use her mental power to influence them.

A thought struck her, and she immediately used her mental power to try and control the zombie corpses. Surprisingly, the zombie corpses actually moved under her mental control. Although they were dead, they became as if alive under her mental manipulation.

Su Ling was overjoyed; she knew her psychic abilities had been unleashed. She had initially thought it was merely an inherent ability of her original body, but she hadn't expected it to be such a rare and powerful psychic ability. And in the apocalypse, this ability was undoubtedly a formidable weapon.

She used her mental powers to manipulate the zombie corpses, piling them into a barrier. Beyond that barrier, the howls of the zombies grew ever closer. She knew she had to leave this place as soon as possible, or she would be in danger again.

Suppressing her fear and exhaustion, she once again used her mental powers to sense her surroundings for a way out. She discovered a hidden passage on the other side of the basement, which seemed to lead outside. Overjoyed, she immediately ran in that direction.

However, just as she was about to reach the entrance of the passage, she suddenly felt a powerful spiritual force surging from outside. That force seemed to be drawn to her own, making it impossible for her to resist. Startled, she found herself being pulled by that force, flying towards the exit of the passage.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in an unfamiliar room. The room was simply furnished, yet it exuded a warm atmosphere. Beside her stood a handsome man dressed in ancient costume.

"You're awake?" The man smiled slightly, his voice gentle and pleasant. "I am Yan Jingfeng. You are safe now."

Su Ling was startled; she hadn't expected Yan Jingfeng to be here. Recalling her previous ordeal, a surge of anger and resentment welled up within her. She sat bolt upright, glaring at Yan Jingfeng, and cried out, "Yan Jingfeng, why did you abandon me? Do you know I almost died!"

Yan Jingfeng's expression changed slightly upon hearing this. Looking at Su Ling's angry eyes and grief-stricken face, he felt a surge of guilt and self-reproach. He knew that his previous decision had indeed been too hasty, almost causing the death of this innocent woman.

"I'm sorry, it was my fault." He apologized softly, his voice full of sincerity and remorse. "I was really too flustered at the time and didn't consider your safety. I apologize to you and hope you can forgive me."

Looking at Yan Jingfeng's sincere face and remorseful eyes, Su Ling's anger and grief gradually subsided. She knew that Yan Jingfeng was also human and made mistakes. Moreover, he now knew his mistake and apologized to her. Although she wasn't a saint, she wasn't the kind of person to hold grudges either.
