Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 48 Su Ling's Departure

As night deepened, the hustle and bustle of the Prince's mansion seemed to be swallowed by the darkness, leaving only silence. Su Ling stood in Situ Lianxin's room, her eyes flashing with complex emotions. She knew it was time to leave, to leave this place full of intrigue and struggle, and return to her own home.

"Sister Lianxin, thank you for your help all this time." Su Ling's voice was slightly choked as she held Situ Lianxin's hand tightly, as if she wanted to express all her gratitude in this simple gesture.

Situ Lianxin smiled gently, her eyes full of tenderness and encouragement: "Su Ling, you don't need to thank me. I just did what I should do. When you go back, you must be strong and you must seek justice for yourself."

Su Ling nodded, her eyes shining with determination. She knew she couldn't be as weak as before. She had to face everything bravely for herself and her family.

Under the cover of night, a carriage quietly drove out of the Prince's mansion, carrying the sentiments of Su Ling and Situ Lianxin, heading towards the Su residence. Inside the carriage, Su Ling tightly clutched the package given to her by Situ Lianxin, a memento of their time in the Prince's mansion.

The carriage stopped in front of the Su family mansion. Su Ling stepped down and looked at her familiar home, a surge of indescribable emotion welling up inside her. She had finally returned, returned to this place filled with warmth and love.

She pushed open the door and walked into the hall. Her father and brother were sitting at the table, and they both looked surprised and delighted to see her return.

"Su Ling, you're back!" Her father stood up, walked to her side, and held her hand tightly.

Su Ling looked at her father, tears welling in her eyes. She threw herself into his arms, as if to pour out all her grievances and pain.

“Father, I…I…” she choked, unable to utter a complete sentence.

Her father gently patted her back and comforted her, "Alright, Su Ling, it's good that you're back. We can talk about it slowly."

Su Ling nodded, wiped away her tears, and looked at her brother sitting at the table. Her brother also stood up, walked to her side, his eyes full of concern and worry.

"Su Ling, what exactly happened to you at the Prince's Mansion? Why did you suddenly come back?" Her brother's voice was deep and powerful, as if he wanted to ask all the questions.

Su Ling took a deep breath and began to slowly recount her experiences at the Prince's Mansion. She told the story of the scandal between Bai Yanxuan and Hong Mei, how she was framed and persecuted, and how Situ Lianxin helped her uncover the truth.

As her father and brother listened to her story, their expressions grew increasingly grim. They knew that Su Ling must have suffered a great deal of injustice and pain in the Prince's mansion. They held Su Ling's hands tightly, as if trying to transfer all their strength and courage to her.

"Su Ling, don't worry. We will definitely support you and get justice for you!" The father's voice was firm and powerful, like an unshakable mountain.

Her brother gripped Su Ling's hand tightly, his eyes flashing with anger and determination: "Su Ling, don't worry. I'll go settle accounts with Bai Yanxuan, and I'll make him pay the price!"

Bai Ao sat at his desk in his study, a secret letter clutched tightly in his hand. The letter's contents made him furrow his brow and his face darken. He never imagined that his son, Bai Yanxuan, would do something so scandalous and disgraceful to the family. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his anger and disappointment.

"Guards!" he shouted in a deep voice, his tone carrying an unquestionable authority.

A guard hurried into the study, knelt on one knee, and bowed respectfully: "What are your orders, Your Highness?"

Bai Ao threw the secret letter on the table, his eyes fixed intently on the guard: "Go, convey my order: depose Bai Yanxuan from his position as heir apparent, and execute it immediately!"

Upon hearing this, the guard's expression changed slightly, but he immediately obeyed and left. He knew that the prince's decisions were never to be questioned.

Bai Ao stood up, walked to the window, and gazed at the gloomy sky outside, a complex mix of emotions welling up inside him. The higher his expectations of Bai Yanxuan, the deeper his disappointment became. He had originally thought that Bai Yanxuan would become his pride, inherit his legacy, and bring glory to the royal family. But now, everything had vanished.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress the restlessness and unease in his heart. He knew he couldn't collapse; the Prince's mansion still needed him to support it.

Just then, a servant hurried into the study and whispered, "Your Highness, Miss Su Ling from the Su family requests an audience."

Bai Ao was slightly taken aback upon hearing this. Su Ling? What's she doing here? He pondered for a moment, then nodded: "Let her in."

The servant obeyed and left. A short while later, Su Ling entered the study. She was dressed in simple clothes, her face pale, and her eyes flickered with unease and anxiety. She walked up to Bai Ao and bowed, saying, "Su Ling greets Your Highness."

Bai Ao looked at her, a wave of guilt washing over him. He knew that Su Ling had suffered a great deal of injustice in the Prince's mansion, and all of this was because of his son, Bai Yanxuan. He sighed and asked gently, "Miss Su Ling, what brings you here?"
