Su Ling's Time Travel

Chapter 47 Chaos in the Prince's Palace

With that, she led Su Ling and the servants out of the study. Bai Yanxuan slumped into his chair, his heart filled with despair and rage. He knew his crimes were now fully exposed, and what awaited him was severe punishment from the Prince's mansion and the contempt of everyone…

The setting sun cast its golden rays upon the glazed tiles of the Prince's Mansion, shimmering but unable to conceal the tense atmosphere that permeated the space. Bai Yanxuan hurriedly stepped through the mansion's gates, his face so grim it seemed as if water could drip from it. He had just returned from outside, his heart already brimming with anger and irritation, but upon entering the mansion, he discovered an even more alarming fact—Hong Mei was missing.

His footsteps echoed in the corridors of the Prince's mansion, each step heavy and anxious. He looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of Hongmei, but the mansion was eerily quiet; even the servants kept their distance, afraid to approach him.

"Hongmei! Hongmei!" he called out loudly, his voice echoing in the empty palace, but no one answered.

His brow furrowed, a sense of foreboding rising within him. How could Hong Mei have suddenly disappeared? Did she find out something? Or was someone plotting against her?

He quickened his pace, almost running wildly through the palace. He traversed corridor after corridor, pushed open door after door, but still couldn't find Hongmei anywhere.

"Has anyone seen Hongmei? Where did she go?" he grabbed a passing servant and asked anxiously.

The servant was so frightened that his face turned pale, and he answered tremblingly, "Your Highness, I...I don't know where Miss Hongmei went. I...I only saw her leave the palace in a hurry early this morning and she hasn't come back."

Upon hearing this, Bai Yanxuan became even more panicked. He released the servants and continued searching the palace. However, no matter how hard he searched, he could not find Hongmei.

The people inside the Prince's mansion kept their distance, not daring to approach him. They knew that the Prince was currently in a state of extreme anger and panic, and no one wanted to become a victim of his rage.

Bai Yanxuan paced around the Prince's mansion again and again, but still couldn't find Hong Mei. A strong sense of fear and unease welled up inside him, as if something important was about to happen, and he was powerless to stop it.

He stopped and stood in the center of the palace, looking around. The palace was silent, save for the sounds of his breathing and heartbeat. He closed his eyes, trying to calm himself, but the panic and fear in his heart refused to dissipate.

He knew that Hongmei's disappearance must be related to Situ Lianxin and Su Ling. They must have exposed his crimes, letting Hongmei know the truth, which was why she left the palace in such a hurry.

He clenched his fists, his eyes flashing with anger and hatred. He vowed to find Hong Mei and make Situ Lianxin and Su Ling pay the price!

However, just then, a servant rushed over, his face as pale as paper. "Your Highness... Your Highness, something terrible has happened! Outside the palace... a group of soldiers have arrived, they say... they say..."

"What did you say?" Bai Yanxuan's eyes widened, and he grabbed the servant's collar, almost lifting him up.

The servant trembled, his voice as weak as a mosquito's buzz: "They say...they say that Your Highness is suspected of treason and is going to...going to take you to prison for interrogation!"

Bai Yanxuan was shocked upon hearing this. He released the servant and collapsed to the ground. Colluding with an enemy country? What kind of crime was that? How could he possibly be suspected of colluding with an enemy country?

However, he knew that this must be the work of Situ Lianxin and Su Ling. They must have fabricated such a charge to frame him in order to get revenge on him.

He stood up, his eyes gleaming with madness. He vowed to find Situ Lianxin and Su Ling, and to make them pay!

However, at that moment, the gates of the Prince's mansion were suddenly smashed open. A group of soldiers rushed in, armed with swords and spears, looking menacing. They went straight for Bai Yanxuan and surrounded him.

"Bai Yanxuan, you are suspected of treason and collusion with the enemy, a heinous crime! Now, we are going to take you to prison for interrogation!" a soldier announced loudly.

Looking at the soldiers around him, Bai Yanxuan felt a surge of despair and anger. He knew he could not escape. He was led by the soldiers, step by step, out of the palace gates.

The people inside the Prince's mansion kept their distance, afraid to approach. Watching Bai Yanxuan being led away, a profound shock and unease welled up within them. The chaos within the Prince's mansion had begun…

Meanwhile, Situ Lianxin and Su Ling stood in a corner of the Prince's mansion, coldly observing everything. They knew this was only part of their plan. They wanted Bai Yanxuan to pay the price he deserved, and they wanted to seek justice for the women of the Prince's mansion!

"Sister Lianxin, look at him now, it's so gratifying!" Su Ling looked at Bai Yanxuan being taken away, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Situ Lianxin merely smiled slightly, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes. "Su Ling, don't be too happy yet. This is just the beginning; the real battle isn't over yet," she said softly, her tone filled with determination and resolve. She knew the road ahead was long, and they would face many more challenges and difficulties. But she also believed that as long as they persevered, they would surely achieve final victory!
