Chapter 54 Making trouble

In a fit of anger, Helian Huai was about to leave the Crown Prince's residence when his chief guards went to support Baili You and followed him.

Helian Huai walked and cursed, belittling the Crown Prince's residence to the point of being worthless, implicitly slapping Jin Chu in the face. Si Ziyu felt a stinging pain on her face.

He dared not confront Helian Huai, who cursed without using vulgar language, yet was very vulgar. When Si Ziyu saw Baili You, he quickly called out to him, "Young Master, Young Master, please persuade Young Master Huai."

Baili You pretended not to hear. He felt more comfortable than ever before. Every word Helian Huai said was to help him get revenge. He remained silent and occasionally pretended to agree.

Even though they hadn't seen each other for many years, he could understand the meaning behind every gesture and expression of Helian Huai.

Si Ziyu's face turned pale. The matter had escalated so much that Helian Huaizhen was determined to demand an explanation. How was she going to handle this?

"We cannot afford to offend Pingjing at the moment."

This was something his mother had repeatedly told him before he left. Si Ziyu regretted not having made arrangements earlier, and forgot to tidy up the shabby Prince's residence.

A guard went to the backyard and brought out Young Master Huai's "maid". Helian Huai immediately changed his expression and said, "I'm sorry to have wronged my Xiao Qiao. Let's find a better place to stay."

The woman's eyes were full of displeasure. She shook off Helian Huai's hand and seemed to think the place was extremely dirty. She vigorously patted her spotless dress.

"I knew it! Is this a place fit for human habitation? It's worse than the woodshed in Young Master Huai's residence!" The woman stomped her foot angrily, her lake-blue skirt swaying. Her tone was somewhat aggressive. "I told you I wouldn't come, but you insisted on bringing me here. I've never lived in such a shabby place in my life. Didn't you say this is Young Master Baili's residence? What's going on?"

"Oh dear, my fault, my fault," Helian Huai said softly, "But my little Qiao, is this really our Prince's residence?"

The woman's eyes widened. "Did Prince Baili live the life of a servant in Jin and Chu?"

The two of them were talking in unison, and Si Ziyu was in a real bind. She gritted her teeth and said, "How can the young master be compared to a servant?"

"what?"

The woman gasped and covered her mouth, saying, "So this is what Jin Chu's conditions are like? Are the Third Prince and the other princes just as poor as our Crown Prince?"

Si Ziyu: "..."

The woman asked earnestly, "Is that so? If that's the case, then we've really misunderstood Your Highness. After all, my young master looks so weak, like he hasn't eaten at all. Anyone who didn't know better would think you're bullying him every day."

Si Ziyu: "..."

Suddenly, the woman screamed, startling everyone. She grabbed Helian Huai's sleeve, "What is this? There's a rat!"

"Where are the rats?" Helian Huai hurriedly ordered his guards to search.

The woman was startled and even more displeased. "How could my young master live with rats? I don't want to stay here anymore, and neither should the young master. Ah Huai, let's take the young master back."

“Sigh,” Helian Huai frowned slightly, “Xiao Qiao, stop fooling around.”

The woman flew into a rage at his words, “What did I do wrong? Helian Huai, you tell me yourself, we came here happily to see the Crown Prince, but we don’t even have a place to stay. What are we doing here!”

"Xiao Qiao!"

The woman, lifting her skirt, stormed angrily toward the carriage at the door, with Helian Huai following behind.

The woman was still complaining, "What Third Prince? Does he think I'm stupid? I can tell he's talking nonsense. I can tell he's no good at all."

Si Ziyu was inexplicably scolded, and her hands trembled with anger.

Ke Helian Huai and his entourage had already boarded the carriage and sped away like refugees fleeing a famine. By the time he caught up with them, only a fleeting shadow remained.

Si Ziyu got into the car, where Si Ziyan was fast asleep. He angrily said, "Get up right now!"

Si Ziyan was startled and opened his eyes to see Si Ziyu's furious face. "Third Brother, who are you angry with? That bitch Baili You is talking nonsense!"

"This is a huge problem," Si Ziyu thought, her head throbbing.

"Where is he?" Si Ziyan squinted. "I think he's tired of living. I'll go down and teach him a lesson."

Si Ziyu shouted, "Don't make things worse! We'll deal with Baili You later. Right now, the troublesome one is Helian Huai."

"What's wrong with him? What did he say?"

Si Ziyu's face was grim; he was only flustered because Helian Huai hadn't said anything.

He only said he wanted an explanation, but how exactly did he want one...?

Si Ziyu had a vague feeling that Baili You was going to cause her a lot of trouble this time.

"Go back to the palace!"

The Helian family's carriage entered the largest inn in Yedu in a grand manner. The horses were tied up in the backyard, and they went straight to their rooms upstairs.

Baili You followed slowly behind, watching as Helian Huai was kicked twice hard by Xiao Qiao.

Helian Huai was not angry at all; instead, he went out of his way to coax her.

Xiao Qiao removed her veil, turned around, and said, "Your Highness."

Only then did Baili You get a clear look at her face. Her eyebrows were like willow branches, her face like a peach blossom, and her eyes, devoid of all allure, were clear and bright. He recognized her immediately.

Yes, it really was her.

The woman who saved him from danger twice—they met again so soon. Heaven is still looking out for him. A smile appeared on Baili You's face.

"I felt it was you. So your name is..." Baili You whispered, "Xiao Qiao?"

Xiao Qiao herself—Qiao Ran, unable to contain her anger, kicked Helian Huai again, "Disgusting! Xiao Qiao, my foot! Your thirty-ninth study maid?"

Helian Huai chuckled, "I was wrong, Joe."

"Get out of my way," Qiao Ran said. "I'll settle the score with you later."

Qiao Ran never expected to find Qin Huai in Yedu. That's right, he is Helian Huai, the direct grandson of the Pingjing Helian clan.

He disappeared without a trace, causing Qiao Ran so much worry. But when they met again, he had transformed into a powerful and influential young master in Pingjing. Qiao Ran had a hundred questions in her mind, but she kept them to herself because of the occasion.

Chased by Si Ziyu's followers, Qiao Ran, unfamiliar with Yedu Road, was worried about how to shake off them when a voice suddenly called out "Qiao Er" from not far away. Qiao Ran looked over in shock and saw Qin Huai's irritating face.

Qiao Ran couldn't describe how she felt at that moment. She felt more comfortable hanging Qin Huai up and beating him up, but she was happier going up to hug him and yell at him, "You're not dead!"

Without saying a word, she got into Qin Huai's car, changed into a women's dress, and escaped the pursuit.

Once inside, Qin Huai was finally able to have a sip of hot tea. He muttered to himself, "After all that commotion, my mouth was so dry, I was dying of thirst."

Baili You seemed a little reserved. "I'm sorry to have troubled you."

Qin Huai's smile faded, and he looked at him seriously. "Baili You, how come you're still so stupid? You've been bullied so much. If Qiao hadn't told me, I would still be happy to see you."

Baili You lowered his head, and after a long while, he forced a smile, "So it's Miss Qiao, thank you."

"Don't be so polite," Qiao Ran said. "I didn't know you and Qin... Helian Huai were friends before, but now that I know, you're my friend too."

Baili Youxin felt a slight surge of joy. He looked up and asked, "Ah Huai, how do you and Miss Qiao know each other?"

Qin Huai sighed, "It's a long story, I'll tell you slowly later, let's talk about your matter first."

Baili You clenched his fists, took a sip of tea to hide his helplessness, and said, "You've all seen what happened to me, there's nothing more to say."

Qin Huai slammed his hand on the table. "What do you mean there's nothing to say! I'm going to get justice for you!"
