Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 83 Recognizing Who William Is

Lophias recognized him from the poster. Even the description of William that he had heard matched the image of the porter with his neck strangled by an elder's spear.

"What's wrong, Lophias? Do you know him?" Grandma wasn't an idiot. She immediately knew that something was wrong with this genius soul master of the clan.

Judging from Lofia's expression, Grant knew the latter recognized William. This made him wonder if William was truly honest about what he had claimed before, or if he had done something so horribly deserving of such infamy.

“Excuse me, elder… but may I speak with you for a moment?” Lophias paused, looked at William, and then added, “In private?”

"Hmm... alright, let me see what you have to say." Grandma turned to William and the others, "Don't leave here, or else..."

The old man did something simple. He unleashed his dark golden soul power, making his body appear as if it were engulfed in dark golden flames.

“I will wait for you.” William bowed respectfully, unconcerned by such pointless boasting.

Escape? He came from afar to see the patriarch of this family, not to escape a mere elder.

"Hmph," Grandma outwardly disliked William's reaction, revealing her displeasure. However, deep down, she was even more puzzled by William's state of mind and will.

Just as the two walked away, Ali breathed a sigh of relief and quickly grabbed William's shoulder.

"Are you crazy?" Ali gritted his teeth and said in a low voice, "Do you want him to kill you? We are his family members, and there are no rules other than the rules of the Long family!"

“Eri,” William shrugged, pulling away from William’s grasp, “we are now in the Soul Master World, where the rules apply.”

Eric didn't understand what William had just said. He blinked three times before turning his gaze to the other two girls.

When he saw their honest and calm expressions, he couldn't help but roll his eyes.

“We’re finished!” He returned weakly to his position behind William, muttering, “What did I do wrong in my life to deserve such a shameful death? At least dying at the hands of the enemy would be more honorable than dying here.”

“Don’t worry,” William couldn’t help but laugh, “we’re not in any danger. You’ll see soon enough.”

"Sigh!" Ali didn't buy a single word of what William had just said.

After the elders and the clan's genius soul masters had a private conversation away from the crowd for nearly ten minutes, Grandma returned alone.

Judging from his expression, William knew that the elder had learned what he had missed. But William didn't know that what the elder knew was not just one side of the story.

Lophias told Grant everything from the strange incident with Miss to William's current situation.

In fact, Grandma never imagined William would cause all this chaos. She sensed that William was not simple, but not to this extent.

Lophias told us that the major problem of Beryl's stagnant soul power had been resolved, and all of this was thanks to the little porter in front of us.

He also heard about the commotion caused by Berry's strange condition, the posters distributed by the family, the intervention of the forge master, and the shocking news that had just reached the family.

A porter with less than 30 points of soul power transformed into a bronze-level powerful soul master in just a few days.

This was truly astonishing! Gran wasn't surprised by William's Bronze-level Soul Master status. In his eyes, William wasn't a Soul Master worthy of his attention at all.

But William's level of achievement was enough to drive anyone crazy! In just a few days, William went from a porter to a Soul Master, and he had just heard that William had been a porter at the academy for nearly two years.

Not to mention what he did to Berry, even the Grand Patriarch admitted it was true.

All of this shocked him, leaving him unsure how to face this annoying kid he couldn't understand or even comprehend.

Lophias confirmed what William had told him earlier: the patriarch was waiting for him and had extended an invitation for him to come over.

Grant could guess part of the truth. He could tell the old patriarch, his uncle, that he wanted to confirm what William had done to Berry.

"Grandma, is everything alright?" William couldn't help but ask when his grandmother stood a few meters away, looking at him with a strange expression.

"Shut up, brat! Go on, the clan chief is waiting for you." Grandma said only these words before turning and walking out.

"Damn it! It's real!!" And later, he couldn't help but comment in such a comical way.

When he took the lead, Grandma wanted to ask William many questions, but he held back. First, he was concerned about his image in front of these children. Second, he knew that a meeting with the clan chief would not be an easy matter for such a bold child.

For some reason, he felt that even the old monster in his family was puzzled by William. Otherwise, why would he have invited him to meet him in person?

If it's to express gratitude for everything he did for Berry, then Berry's father would be a suitable candidate for the task. Even if the patriarch is curious about what William did to heal Berry, he can delegate the task to her father, while that terrible monster watches from the shadows.

The more he thought about it, the more confused he became. So, Grant decided to wait until the meeting started to confirm his doubts. Walking silently through the vast Long family mansion, Grant was preoccupied, recalling in detail his meeting with William.
