Grandma recalled everything the child had done and said. What puzzled her was his strange question about his views on porters.

Without realizing it, he couldn't help but steal a glance at William, sizing him up. 'Damn it! Was he trying to judge me or something?!'

He was right. That was exactly what William wanted to do. After learning everything about William, Grandma knew that this was never a simple problem.

William wasn't a porter, but he spoke as if he were. When he said he used to be a porter, he wasn't lying; in fact, he never lied about anything he said. This earned William even more points in Grant's opinion of him.

William wasn't joking, nor did he act like a child his age. If a kid like that had become so powerful in such a short time, transforming from an ordinary porter into a Bronze-level Soul Master, he would probably be arrogant and domineering, jumping around, shouting, and showing off his achievements.

However, all he saw in William was calmness, as if what had happened was no big deal to him. His grandmother didn't evoke even a trace of joy or pride in William, not even once.

He behaved like an adult, with a deep and unfathomable mind.

"We've arrived." After walking for more than half an hour, Grandma, preoccupied with her thoughts, did not respond to any greetings from the Soul Masters she encountered along the way, and finally stopped in front of a large house.

That was the patriarch's mansion, located in the heart of the entire area. William gazed at the magnificent building, five stories high, spanning a vast expanse of land, appearing as if ten buildings had been merged together, with high walls and gates.

It was indeed a beautiful building, reminding William of the grand mansion he had owned in his previous life.

"Impressed by our patriarch's place?" When William saw the mansion, his grandmother noticed and mistook the longing look on his face for a longing look.

“Well… okay,” William’s words made him want to punch the boy and teach him how to behave properly.

This mansion was even more magnificent than the academy dean's residence. Grandma, unsure what to say, led the way inside.

Passing through the gate, one arrives at a spacious garden. William notices many fine herbs and is impressed by the patriarch's foresight and interest in alchemy.

Others might adorn their gardens with beautiful flowers and plants. But this patriarch prioritized the vital uses of these herbs for his family's alchemists. Ultimately, this benefited his family's soul masters.

"Oh, isn't this Grandma's brother? When did you arrive?"

As soon as the group passed through the garden, a loud shout came from inside the mansion, and then a tall, strong, smiling middle-aged man appeared there.

“Brother Carom, you look much better than when I left.”

The two greeted each other, not in the formal way usually used in the world of Soul Masters, but in the manner of family.

They patted each other on the arm, a way of telling William that they were related by blood.

"Maybe they're brothers? Or cousins?" William muttered, looking at the two men who seemed to be about the same age and had similar features.

Surprisingly, William discovered similarities between the two men and someone he knew.

"William! You're here?!"

Just as William was thinking about her, a loud shout came from the second floor, and a person with a full head of hair turned around and disappeared.

“She’s here,” William said with a smile, while the others around, including the two middle-aged men, did not understand what was happening.

"Is she someone you know?" Just as everyone was looking on in confusion, Eric leaned over William and asked in a low voice because he couldn't see the face or Berry clearly.

“I do.” William recognized the voice, just like the two puzzled elders standing not far away.

As soon as Eric finished speaking, Berry appeared from the doorway, ran to William, and threw herself into his arms.

“I’m very worried about you,” she said, and William sensed her sincerity in her tone.

Moreover, he felt she was stronger than before, and he smiled with satisfaction.

"I saw you having a lot of fun while I was away, and you even forgot about me," the elder who led William here said with displeasure.

"You...uncle?! And...father...?!?" Berry seemed a little scared for a moment. William couldn't help but step forward and bow, his quick thinking and resourcefulness rescuing Berry from the awkward situation.

“I’m sorry, uncles, I haven’t seen her for about a week,” Grandma noticed that William had changed how he addressed her, from “elder” and “elder” to “uncle.” This made her realize how cunning William’s words were.

“Stop dreaming of leaving here with paint, kid,” said the man Berry called “father.” Carom’s gaze darted up and down, scrutinizing William more than three times before he added:

"A seemingly weak child, dressed in the white uniform of a school porter, dared to do such a thing to my daughter right in front of me... Are you the person who was rumored to be helping my daughter?"

“I am William,” William said, thinking he would get away with it all unscathed. “It’s nice to see you, Uncle.”

“I’m not too happy to see you,” a sword was drawn and pointed at William the next moment. “A kid who claims to be my daughter’s friend must prove his worth before he can even step out of here. Come on, take out your weapon and let’s have a proper duel between Soul Masters.”

"Father!" Berry was immediately startled upon hearing this.
