Rebirth: Supreme Soul Master

Chapter 25 Gold-level Sword

The two continued processing the remaining ore for several hours. By the time dawn broke the next day, they were almost done.

"Phew, it's longer than I expected." Elena wiped non-existent sweat from her forehead, and William's eyebrows twitched at her words.

If it's him, don't even think about spending a few hours. Even a whole day might not be enough!

“What are you planning to do with these?” she asked, pointing to a small patch of scarlet vitality that William had treated before using the hammer.

"Do you have throwing knife molds?" William didn't answer her directly, but instead asked what he wanted.

"Throwing knives? What are those?" But as he expected, such a concept was still unknown in this world.

“Do you have any molds that we can modify? I want to do something special with these ores,” William said, and Elena excitedly made a mold with several holes in it.

She had been shocked by William's actions more than once. Hearing that he wanted to do something special to her, something she had never heard of before, drove her wild with the idea of what he was going to do.

“I’m still working on this,” she said, pointing to the mold she’d taken from her storage ring. “But modifying it requires a lot of soul power, so I’ll do it. Leave it like this. Tell me what shape you want and how many you want.”

William knew she was right, but that wasn't the only way to modify the mold. However, he didn't say anything to her, but simply drew on the ground with his finger.

"Twenty centimeters long, the front half is like the arrow here, but slightly thicker. The other half is cylindrical, serving as a handle." He described his idea in words and pictures.

“These…aren’t these like cooking knives?” But what she heard and saw made her frown. She thought he would come up with another revolutionary concept, but instead it was just kitchen knives.

“They are like that, but the proportions of the cooking knives are different,” William explained after being startled by her comment. “The cooking knives are only four-fifths the length of the arrowhead, and the handles are very short.”

“Okay.” Elena couldn’t see any difference between the two. But she decided to follow William’s instructions. A rich, bright yellow energy surged from her body, enveloping the mold in just a few seconds.

As the mold began to show signs of change, a cracking sound erupted. A concave portion began to form, as he slowly removed the shape he had just drawn and described on the floor.

How many do you want?

William looked at the pile of ore he had refined and made a rough estimate in his mind. "Twenty," he said.

"It's done." The design draft was ready, and she didn't need much time to prepare the mold. Design is the most difficult part of manufacturing any new product, while changing the mold is the simplest and fastest part of the process.

In her view, the only drawback of this process is that modifying such a high-level mold requires a large amount of spiritual energy.

William first carefully examined the mold. He had to admit that she had done an excellent job using her soul power.

"What should I do?" she asked.

“It’s time for the final touches,” William said, returning to the jar he had used before. This time, he lit the other half of the candle he had left in the jar. Then he placed the refined crimson vitality needles into the three pots and let them melt.

The candles melted even faster, but he didn't rush to extinguish them. Elena mistakenly thought he wanted them to remain liquid.

But ten minutes after the fire started, the green liquid underwent a new change. After a long period of stillness, the deep green flames began to brightly illuminate the entire room.

"This..." Elena never expected that the candle would have an additional layer of purification. What she didn't know was that the candle's purification power wasn't just one layer, but at least five.

But now, William only needs the second stage. The first stage will burn off the impurities that are essentially preventing the candle material from functioning properly during forging.

In other words, this was accomplished when someone lit the candle. All the light emitted by the flame was achieved only after these impurities had been burned away.

The second stage, however, will target the finer impurities and concentrate the green materials into a higher form. For this, the entire candle must be placed in a pot and directly over a fire for at least ten minutes.

This form not only enhances and conducts energy, but also adds a function: long-distance control!

This is the basic concept of external flying weapons. Currently, with William's limited soul power, he can only wield such a light blade. And with his low soul power, he can only control a maximum of three.

Each sword requires at least ten points of soul power to wield. If a larger weapon is used, this consumption will be even higher.

Even if he can't use them all now, he won't let this opportunity pass him by; he'll produce more and store them for later use.

He plans to raise his soul power to over 100. Then he'll be able to control about ten throwing knives. If his soul power breaks through 200, he'll be able to easily control twenty knives.

While waiting, he didn't sit idle. When he put the pot on the fire, he roughly knew it would take about twenty to thirty minutes to prepare, so he went to the wood in the corner to do another task.

"Do you have a sword?" he asked. "Mine is destroyed."

"Don't tell me you still have that useless old metal scrap." Alina was surprised to hear this. As a porter, he only handled the lowest grade swords. These were usually in very poor condition and would break down within a few years at most.

She looked at him with a puzzled expression. He certainly met all the criteria for a porter. But she was still somewhat doubtful, because she knew how powerful the expert behind her was.

If weapons are expensive and difficult to obtain for others, they are a piece of cake for counterfeiters.

William could only manage a wry smile. He had originally planned to buy a decent sword, but due to his limited means, he abandoned the plan.

He assumed he would pay for the work done here. But if he knew Elena would come to help, and that he wouldn't even pay a spirit crystal, he would definitely buy a better sword than his rusty, useless old one.

“Here,” she said nonchalantly, pulling out a longsword with a scabbard as if it were a piece of chocolate, and tossing it to William.

"This...this isn't a gold-grade sword?!" William was startled the moment he drew his sword. His biggest dream of buying a sword was a decent white sword, or even a mediocre silver sword.

“It’s nothing,” Elena said with a bright smile. “Consider it a gift.”

She would never miss an opportunity to get close to the child. In her heart, she was not interested in William at all, but in his master.
