The Road to Godhood in Honor of Kings

Chapter 12 Encounter Under the Tree (Part 2)

"Monkey, are you still as impatient as before?" Li Bin laughed, and the others behind him also laughed, as if they had heard something very funny. Judging from his tone, his relationship with Sun Wukong was not very good, and Li Bin was probably here to cause trouble.

“怎么打?1v1、2v2还是5v5?”孙猴问到。

“Since you are also a group of five, and so are we, how about a 5v5? I just don’t know if your friend would be willing to accept?” Li Bin said.

"Of course!" Han Cheng said confidently. He was even more confident than Sun Wukong, mainly because of his so-called "Eye of Illusion"—it was too awesome!

……

"How about the draft mode? You can choose first!" Li Bin said.

"Okay, but you guys should pick first!" Han Cheng said. You know, in draft mode, it's much better to pick heroes first than later, because if you pick first, the other team can counter your lineup.

“Then we’ll choose first!” Li Bin didn’t refuse, and they took the initiative.

"What the hell is this?" Sun Wukong couldn't help but exclaim softly. Because he was worried that if he made a loud noise, he would be heard and lose face, so he deliberately lowered his voice.

Sun Wukong's strong reaction was for a reason. The opposing team banned heroes, including Zhuang Zhou right from the start, and Li Bin immediately picked Zhong Wuyan. Han Cheng's team banned Liu Bei, as they wanted to play it safe this time, and Liu Bei had become incredibly powerful in the late game recently. Sun Wukong, as usual, picked Sun Wukong, while the opposing team picked Zhang Liang. Xu Xiaomeng chose Angela, who is very strong in the current version, and Xu Xiaomeng had practiced her a lot, hence her choice.

Then, it was the turn of the third and fourth picks. The enemy team was playing Sun Shangxiang and Sun Bin, while Han Cheng's team was playing Lian Po by Ye Bing. Considering that the reason the enemy banned Zhuang Zhou was probably because if they banned Zhuang Zhou, they could use their control abilities at will, and Lian Po is a tank that is not afraid of control. Apart from his wife's petrification and Wang Zhaojun and Zhen Ji's freeze, other control abilities are not worth mentioning to him.

Sure enough, upon seeing Ye Bing's Lian Po, Li Bin frowned. Although Zhong Wuyan and Zhang Liang were relatively unpopular, their crowd control abilities were quite annoying. With Sun Bin added to the mix, the enemy had a lot of crowd control, making it indeed difficult to fight without Zhuang Zhou.

After Lian Po, it's Han Cheng's Han Xin. His ultimate skill grants him immunity to crowd control, which is quite effective against heroes with a lot of crowd control. Moreover, Han Cheng's ultimate Han Xin is incredibly powerful.

The enemy team's last pick was surprisingly Luna, one of the two must-ban/must-pick heroes in ranked matches right now: Guan Yu and Luna. Luna is designed based on Diana, the Moon Goddess from League of Legends, with almost identical skills. However, Luna is far more overpowered than Diana. Diana's ultimate refreshes upon hitting a unit with a Moon Mark, but this mark can only be applied with her first skill, unlike Luna's first skill, second skill, and even three basic attacks! Luna's ultimate just keeps refreshing; even if the damage isn't high, hitting you dozens of times will overwhelm you. Moreover, Luna's ultimate damage isn't low either.

However, Luna is a hero that requires a lot of skill. If you play her well, you can take on five opponents at once and the enemy won't even be able to touch you. But if you play her poorly, you won't even know how you got killed.

Therefore, Luna is actually a very unreliable hero. Enemy Luna can come and go freely; our Luna, however, is doomed. This is a true reflection of both bad and expert Luna players.

The person playing Luna was a tall, thin boy, but his eyes always held a hint of disdain. Han Cheng vaguely guessed that this Luna player must be a master, which was why Li Bin was so arrogant in challenging him and his close friends.

When it was Han Cheng's turn to pick the last marksman, after a brief moment's thought, Han Cheng had Fatty choose a new hero: Genghis Khan, the Descendant of the Wolf. Genghis Khan is a marksman, and due to his passive ability that grants him speed when passing through bushes and triggers another passive that increases basic attack damage, along with his first skill providing vision, he's also an excellent jungler. Han Cheng had Fatty choose Genghis Khan to counter the enemy Luna. The enemy Luna was using Smite as her summoner spell and was playing the jungle. If Han Xin and Genghis Khan could crush Luna early on, then the victory would be practically guaranteed. After all, the enemy team's Zhong Wuyan, Zhang Liang, and Sun Bin all lacked damage output; clearly, they chose this lineup to protect Luna. So, if Luna fell behind, the enemy team would be completely dominated.

The lineup is finalized: Han Cheng is the top laner for the red team, Sun Wukong is the mid laner, Angela is the jungler, Han Xin is the bot lane duo, Genghis Khan is the ADC, and Lian Po is the support.

Li Bin's team on the blue side consisted of top laner Zhong Wuyan, mid laner Zhang Liang, jungler Luna, ADC Sun Shangxiang, and support Sun Bin (they all seem to have the surname Sun?).

At the start of the game, Han Cheng was dumbfounded. Where was his full map vision? Why was it only a small patch? Had his ability disappeared? Somewhat worried, Han Cheng used his X-ray vision. Although the vision wasn't very clear, it was still visible. Looking more closely at the minimap, he saw that the enemy's vision was still partially intact. His ability hadn't disappeared, just weakened. "It seems that while my ability is good, I can't use it too often, or it will degenerate," Han Cheng thought.

A quick glance at the minimap revealed the enemy team's conservative playstyle, going straight for the lane. It seems their main carry is still Luna. Before level four, Luna is practically useless; damage? None. Health? None. Mobility? None! However, level four is a game-changer for Luna. Therefore, we absolutely must kill Luna before level four!

As they were talking, Han Cheng had already arrived in front of Luna, who had come to attack the blue buff. Although it was face-to-face, Luna was completely unaware because Han Cheng used his first skill to jump into the bush next to the blue buff.

"Fatty, come here!" When Blue Daddy's health was less than half, Fatty's Genghis Khan had already arrived at Han Cheng's side.

"Set up a few traps!" Han Cheng said.

"Oh!" The fat man secretly set up a few traps. This was to prevent the enemy from chasing him after he invaded the enemy jungle. Moreover, if the enemy came and stepped on the traps, they would be exposed.

When the enemy Luna's Blue Buff was reduced to one bar of health, Smite was used. However, two lightning bolts appeared above Blue Buff's head. Luna and Han Xin used Smite on Blue Buff almost simultaneously!
