Rebirth of a Farmer's Dad

Chapter 14 Training

The next day, Luo Feng received two pieces of news, one good and one bad. Hu Zi had brought Da Zhuang, Zhu Gan, and Shi Tou. Da Zhuang and Shi Tou were strong and could easily handle any heavy lifting. Zhu Gan had a sharp tongue, a decent appearance, and was quick-witted; with some training, he would definitely be a good emcee. The manpower problem was solved. These guys hadn't had much to do anyway, and seeing Hu Zi making money with Luo Feng had made them envious. Now that they had the chance to work for Luo Feng, they weren't going to let it slip by.

Then there's Atsuko. Atsuko came back and said that his father was worried about the steel mill's business and didn't want to go to the county town. After all, the steel mill's business had stabilized, while the county town was just a pipe dream now. Hanzi also said that he wanted to stay and help his father, since the old man was getting old and couldn't manage everything by himself.

Luo Feng didn't say anything about it; he agreed to Dunzi's request. He knew that everyone had their own way of living, and he couldn't force someone to do something against their will.

This was actually for the best. Luo Feng had been worried about leaving the steel mill without an explanation. Now, with Dunzi and his son here, he could go to the county town without worry. Considering their difficult life, Luo Feng decided to give them the steel mill business. As for the equipment, he would let Dunzi take it back first and return it later.

At this point, Atsuko and Luo Feng officially parted ways. Although he regretted it afterward, there was no going back.

Next, Luo Feng provided individual training to Shi Tou, Da Zhuang, and Zhu Gan. He also explained some aspects of wedding planning from later generations and reminded them of many things to pay attention to.

Three months passed quickly. During these three months, Luo Feng took them to several weddings, giving them a chance to gain practical experience.

By now, Luo Feng had accumulated over ten thousand yuan. He knew it was time to head to the county town.

However, he also knew that Zhu Gan and the others were far from being qualified wedding emcees. He himself was a complete novice in this field and didn't know much. Anyway, he had taught them everything he could and shared all the knowledge he had. He would find them a decent feng shui master to be their mentor later.

However, we have to take it one step at a time; there's no way to solve this right now.

Luo Feng and his group still went into the city. Their goal was clear: to find a suitable shop to pave the way for their future development in the county.

I didn't bring apricot blossoms this time, since we haven't even found a place to stay in the county yet.

After arriving in the county town, Luo Feng first bought some gifts before heading to the Wang family's house. After all, it's impolite to visit someone empty-handed. It's a matter of etiquette, and everyone should observe proper manners.

When Luo Feng and his group arrived, Old Master Wang happened to be home. After Luo Feng presented the gifts and explained his purpose, Old Master Wang, without saying a word, had his son, Wang Wensheng, take them to find a shop.

It's clear that Mr. Wang is a man of his word.

Then, led by Wang Wensheng, the group wandered around the county town in an attempt to find a decent shop.

He looked at several places, but none of them were satisfactory. They were either too remote, too small, or the rent was too expensive, exceeding Luo Feng's budget.

Fortunately, Wang Wensheng always strictly followed his father's instructions; otherwise, anyone else would have been impatient long ago after following Luo Feng and the others for so long.

Suddenly, Wang Wensheng seemed to remember something. He suddenly recalled that an old classmate of his had mentioned that one of his buddies owned a shop in the county town.

I hadn't thought of it before because I was too busy. In addition, Luo Feng and the others arrived suddenly without prior notice. When Old Master Wang spoke up, Wang Wensheng was so focused on leading them around to find a shop that he forgot about this connection.

Without saying a word, Wang Wensheng took out his mobile phone and called that classmate.

Looking at the mobile phone in Wang Wensheng's hand, Luo Feng was very envious. These days, one of those things would cost at least ten thousand yuan. When would he ever be able to get one himself?

Next, following the directions given by Wang Wensheng's classmate, Luo Feng and his group found the shop.

The shop was owned by a young couple. When they heard that they had been introduced by a friend, the husband warmly poured them tea, and then everyone sat down to chat.

As they chatted, Luo Feng and his friends learned that the shop owner had found a decent job in the city and planned to move there with his family. Since the shop was now idle, they decided to rent it out to earn some rent to supplement their income.

Looking at the shop, Luo Feng was quite satisfied. The location faced the main street; while not exactly prime, it was still pretty good. The area was also large enough to easily fit at least seven or eight tables.

Next was the rent, which was Luo Feng's biggest concern. He had seen similar shops before, and they couldn't reach an agreement on the rent in the end.

Luo Feng couldn't bring himself to speak up, so he could only look to Wang Wensheng for an answer. Seeing Luo Feng's gaze, Wang Wensheng said, "Brother and sister-in-law, my brother here has his eye on this shop. We really want to rent it. Name your price."

The couple discussed it for a while, and then the man spoke up: "600 yuan a month, what do you think?"

Wang Wensheng glanced at Luo Feng's expression and knew that he was not entirely satisfied with the price, so he continued, "Could you see if you could lower the price a bit? My brother here is also opening a shop and he's short on cash."

"This is already cheap enough. You can't find this price anywhere else," the hostess said.

"We really can't accept this, so we have to lower the price a bit," Luo Feng said with a sincere smile.

"550 a month is the lowest I can go," the man said firmly after thinking for a moment.

"Alright, it's settled then." Luo Feng finally made the decision.

They then signed a lease agreement. As for the money, Luo Feng brought cash and prepaid six months' rent on the spot.

With the shop finally settled, a huge weight was lifted off Luo Feng's shoulders.

Although there's still a lot to do, Luo Feng didn't forget to thank Wang Wensheng and the landlord couple. To be honest, 550 yuan a month isn't expensive at all; they had just found several other shops. Those in good locations were asking for 1000 yuan a month.

Therefore, Luo Feng has successfully copied this.

Luo Feng bought some groceries, greeted the shop owners, and asked to use their kitchen. Then, he cooked a table full of delicious dishes and invited the shop owners and Wang Wensheng to have a simple meal together.

Despite their repeated refusals, the three eventually gave in to Luo Feng's insistence and agreed.

Then Luo Feng and Hu Zi busied themselves in the kitchen while the others chatted outside. Soon the dishes were ready, and everyone sat down to eat.

During the meal, the restaurant owners praised Luo Feng's culinary skills highly. They kept saying that if Luo Feng opened a restaurant here, he would definitely make money.

Although he knew it was just a polite remark, Luo Feng happily agreed and promised that whenever they had free time, they could come here to eat without paying.

After all, it's just two people, how much food can they possibly eat?
