A surge of emotion welled up in Yu Yuetong's heart. Facing Qin Reng's deep, slightly shimmering eyes, she felt a tension and anticipation she had never experienced before. She could almost hear her own heartbeat, like the rhythmic beating of a drum in the stillness of the night, echoing between them.

"The future you're talking about..." Her voice trembled slightly as she tried to muster some rationality, but the emotions in her heart surged like a tide, almost overwhelming her.

“Yes,” Qin Reng leaned forward slightly, his breath close to Qin Reng’s, like sunlight shining on the mountains, warm and relaxing, “We need to sort out our relationship. I want to understand you, to understand you more.”

Wherever they went, the air grew thicker, as if the distance between them was gradually decreasing. Yu Yuetong, however, felt a vague unease, an invisible pressure. She understood that the current situation was not only about their fates, but also involved something much deeper.

"We've actually swapped bodies, there's nothing to talk about." Yu Yuetong's voice grew increasingly insecure as she forced herself to look away from Qin Reng's face. The slight heat on her forehead betrayed her true feelings.

“But it was this exchange that gave us a different perspective.” Qin Reng’s expression was unusually serious as he said in a deep voice, “I never thought that this method would allow me to understand you better. Perhaps we can discover some unexpected things, or even… solve this mystery.”

"You mean...our relationship?" Yu Yuetong gritted her teeth, suppressing the turmoil in her heart, and tried her best to make her tone sound natural.

"Yes, I just want... to be closer to you." Qin Reng gritted his teeth slightly, staring into her eyes as if searching her heart.

Just then, the atmosphere in the room seemed to be continuously impacted by an electric current, and the sound of their heartbeats rapidly intensified, like drums beating. Yu Yuetong's heart pounded wildly, and she felt like she was about to suffocate.

"Why do you want to get close to me?" Her voice was weak, but unexpectedly it hit the nail on the head, as if she had thrown out a key, leaving Qin Reng unable to react.

"To resolve our predicament." Qin Reng's voice was low and firm, as if he had suddenly found a light in the midst of a agonizing night. His gaze deepened, as if he wanted to see into her soul.

Yu Yuetong felt her heart pounding. The man in front of her was like an unapproachable star, dazzling yet unattainable. She wanted to touch him but was afraid of getting burned.

"But can we really find the answer?" She felt a sense of powerlessness, lowered her head slightly, and concealed the complex expectation in her heart.

"I will try, I will do my best." His tone was firm, like a vow, which made Yu Yuetong tremble slightly.

The atmosphere grew increasingly tense, like a taut string. Qin Reng suddenly moved closer, gazing at her more intently, his unwavering devotion seeming especially real at that moment. Yu Yuetong hesitated, unable to resist his dazzling gaze.

"Is this better?" he asked softly, his voice carrying a hint of melancholy tenderness, as if he were full of understanding for her condition.

"I...we...let's try to find a way to switch back first." Yu Yuetong's voice was as fragile as a few soft tears, yet it carried an undisguised determination.

“This process may be long, but as long as you don’t give up, we have hope.” His tone became more and more sincere, like a vow he was making to her.

Just then, the shadows behind them reappeared, and a mocking voice drifted over: "It seems the warmth between you two has crossed the line. How intriguing."

Yu Yuetong was suddenly awakened. Turning her head, she saw that gloomy face, which instantly turned the previous warmth into coldness. A sense of unease rose in her heart, and she paused slightly, looking up at Qin Reng.

"Who is he?" Her voice trembled slightly, and a hint of wariness flashed in her eyes.

"I don't know, he seems to have been spying on us." Qin Reng frowned slightly, instantly realizing what was happening, and then pulled Yu Yuetong behind him.

"We're being watched!" Alarm bells rang in Yu Yuetong's mind, and her expression turned grim. At that moment, the wind seemed to whisper in the air, and an uneasy atmosphere permeated everything around them.

The two clung tightly together, their heartbeats mingling, keeping each other alert, as if the slightest carelessness would lead to their demise.

Yu Yuetong was filled with tension; that sudden, gloomy face made her uneasy. She quickly lowered her eyes to hide her panic. The atmosphere around her was like a thick fog, suffocating, and her palms began to sweat slightly. Qin Reng's gaze grew increasingly urgent, as if he wanted to further discern the danger lurking in that shadow.

"Who are you?" Yu Yuetong mustered her courage, trying to find a sliver of peace amidst the surging fear in her heart. She knew that only by facing the situation directly could she regain a sense of security, even though her voice still trembled slightly.

"Heh, I'm really curious about the secrets between you." A smile played on the lips of the man in the shadows, but it carried a sinister undertone, as if concealing a dark truth. "Do you really hope no one else will participate in this game?"

"What is he saying?" Yu Yuetong's heart skipped a beat, her intuition telling her that the other party was definitely not simple.

“Never mind him,” Qin Reng said solemnly, his voice low but firm, as if encouraging her. “We have to go first.”

“But he is…” Yu Yuetong turned around, only to find that the man had vanished. It seemed to be just an illusion, a concrete manifestation of the unease in her heart.

"Let's go." Qin Reng took her hand, which made Yu Yuetong's heart skip a beat. It was as if a warm current flowed from her palm to her heart, dispelling some of her fear. The two walked quickly outside, but the silhouette of the man in the distance reappeared, seemingly the man who made her heart flutter.

"You guys are really boring." The man's voice traveled through the air, and his contemptuous laugh cut through Yue Tong's heart like a sharp blade. "I'm very bored here."

Qin Reng frowned slightly, then quickened his pace, leading Yu Yuetong around the shadows, but a sense of unease still lingered in her heart. His nonchalant tone made her feel that misfortune was about to befall her.

Back in the room, Yu Yuetong couldn't help but glance at Qin Reng beside her. He was looking down at his phone, his expression grave. A long-lost sense of intimacy quietly rose between them, only to be interrupted by the tense atmosphere. She couldn't help but recall the unsettling scene from earlier and asked, "Do you think he might pose any threat to us?"

Qin Reng looked up, his gaze sharp. "He's just a minor character. The real concern is the person behind him." He paused, then looked at Yu Yuetong again, a hint of concern on his face. "You must believe that we can handle him."

"Do you really think so?" Yu Yuetong hesitated. She was afraid that she would become a burden to Qin Reng. The heavy pressure of the shadow behind her seemed to be getting closer and closer, making it hard to breathe.
