We bear people have power

Chapter 10 Enemies meet

Let us drink and sing, for life is short, fleeting like morning dew, and the days gone by are many.

Guan Bo felt he had a lot of stories to tell, but he was missing a pot of wine.

Wildflowers were in full bloom, the scenery was at its most beautiful, but Guan Bo had no heart to appreciate it. For a lonely person, the more beautiful the scenery, the more ironic it seems.

He casually tossed Xiaoyingcao aside, but Guan Bo's steps were far from nimble. The road ahead was long and fraught with danger, and it was inappropriate to take a little girl on such an adventure.

The world calls it Guanyin Bodhisattva of the South China Sea, and this Luojia Mountain is naturally located on the coast of the South China Sea, but it is not the same place as the Luojia Mountain in Wuhan in later generations. However, the South China Sea in this place also seems to be a bit different from the South China Sea in later generations. Guan Bo trekked through the high mountains and dense forests for several days and almost thought he was in the Greater Khingan Mountains.

That day, Guan Bo was hesitating whether to eat honey or fruit, or fruit dipped in honey, when he suddenly smelled a peculiar aroma.

This smell was extremely unforgettable for Guan Bo; he had smelled that same fishy odor on the very day Yingcao was eaten.

A mixture of hatred and anger welled up in Guan Bo's heart. To this day, he still remembers how desperate Yingcao's eyes were when he finally found that little head.

The pain I felt then is the source of my hatred now!

Guan Bo ran in the direction of the scent without hesitation, and his speed seemed to increase considerably.

But as Guan Bo continued his pursuit, he realized that the route seemed somewhat familiar.

"This is the direction of Guanyin Village!" A great terror arose in Guan Bo's heart.

Demonic power erupted from his entire body, and the violent force directly tore through Guan Bo's fur, adding several crimson streaks between the black and white.

The wind-riding technique, which originally only lifted him a few feet off the ground, was transformed by Guan Bo into a tornado, carrying his mountain-like body towards Guanyin Village. The demonic power within Guan Bo had actually accumulated to an extremely profound level; even if other demons had transformed, they could not compare to Guan Bo.

He was, after all, a great demon who had listened to Guanyin Bodhisattva preach and eaten bamboo shoots from the Purple Bamboo Forest, and was incomparable to a demon who had cultivated himself by chance.

However, Guan Bo spent his days with the Black Bear Spirit, a fierce demon king capable of fighting the Great Sage Equal to one's own. Compared to this, Guan Bo was naturally dissatisfied with his own talent. In a state of resignation, he became less attentive to his cultivation.

Therefore, the mere art of wind manipulation has only now truly proven its effectiveness.

This was the first time Guan Bo had flown into the air on his own, but he had no time to reflect on it and flew straight toward Guanyin Village.

It took Guan Bo almost half an hour to finally arrive at Guanyin Village.

However, Guan Bo arrived a little late.

Half of Guanyin Village had been reduced to ruins. The villagers cried out in despair and ran around in all directions, while a huge, mountain-like shadow was groaning in mid-air.

You ask what this ferocious demon looks like? A later poet wrote: His head adorned with a gleaming golden helmet, his body clad in golden armor that seemed to shimmer like rainbows. A jeweled belt adorned his waist, and strangely shaped, smoky yellow boots graced his feet. His nose was high and prominent like a towering mountain, his forehead broad and majestic like a dragon's. His eyes gleamed, round and fierce, his teeth sharp and even like steel. His short, tousled hair billowed like flames, his long beard flowing like a golden cone. He held a sprig of tender green algae in his mouth and a nine-petaled red copper hammer in his hand. With a creaking sound, the door opened, a sound like the thunder of spring's awakening.

This is none other than the infamous King Linggan, one of the few powerful demons in Journey to the West for whom even the Great Sage Sun Wukong needed to ask a Bodhisattva for help. Although the main reason for his power was that he hid in the water, the fact that he wasn't killed with a single blow speaks volumes about his strength.

It had a strange appearance with a fish head and a human body. Although it was a carp or something similar, it had a mouth full of sharp teeth. The hammer in its hand suddenly grew larger and landed on a house, leaving only broken walls and ruins.

Villagers who couldn't escape were either smashed into mincemeat by sledgehammers or trampled to death. The horrific scene was like hell on earth.

Guan Bo gazed into the distance, determined to find the location of Xiao Yingcao.

They thought that in such a chaotic scene, it would be difficult to find a little girl, but to their horror, they discovered that the little girl was not running around like the other villagers, but instead was running towards the location of the Inspiration King.

Xie Rulin, acting like a little adult, followed behind Xiao Yingcao and said loudly, "It's wrong! It's wrong! We're going the wrong way!"

Xiao Yingcao completely ignored the little boy who was trying to protect her, and ran away while cursing: "You're so disgusting that you'd be too smelly to be salted fish, you're not even fully dead but already have worms growing on you, you're a pickled good-for-nothing who can't be seasoned with salt, you're a piece of trash that I, your grandma, feed on with my spit, come and kill me if you dare!"

The curse was quite creative. The King of Inspiration, whose face was originally full of bloodthirsty smirks, immediately trembled with anger when he heard Xiao Yingcao's words.

This little girl, even though she's called Yingcao (meaning "shining grass"), has a sweet smile and a great talent for healing, is essentially still a lonely little bunch, the most tenacious and prickly kind of weed.

The King of Inspiration's eyes flashed with ferocity as he brought his giant hammer down on Little Yingcao's head. This single blow was powerful enough to shatter mountains and stop rivers; even if Little Yingcao were twice as stubborn, she couldn't harden her head.

Faced with this mountain-like hammer, Xie Rulin only had time to pull Xiao Yingcao behind him, unaware that under this hammer, there was no difference between one person and two.

The hammer fell with a whooshing sound, determined to leave no survivors.

However, a golden light flew in, striking the hammer before it could strike. The massive, mountain-like hammer was knocked aside and landed in a field.

The mud flew up with a roar, turning into raindrops that covered the earth with a dirty brown layer.

The two little figures, covered in mud, hadn't yet figured out why they had escaped unscathed when they heard a long howl.

Above the sky, a whirlwind was already locked in combat with the Great King of Inspiration.

Guan Bo used all his demonic power to smash out the jade ring, a Buddhist treasure bestowed upon him by the Bodhisattva, narrowly saving the lives of Xiao Yingcao and Xie Rulin. Then he pounced on Linggan Dawang and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with his claws and teeth.

At first, the King of Inspiration was caught off guard and was stunned by Guan Bo's wild clawing and biting. However, its golden scales were incredibly sturdy, and even with all his strength, Guan Bo could only leave a few marks. Its greatest achievement was biting off one of the King of Inspiration's whiskers. But when the King of Inspiration reacted, its giant hammer flew out of its hand, and like a magical treasure, it circled around and smashed into Guan Bo's shoulder.

This blow was quite powerful, sending Guan Bo flying backward.

It took Guan Bo a lot of effort to control the demonic wind and stop his flying body. With just one hammer blow, Guan Bo's shoulder blade was fractured. If the Great King of Inspiration had been more prepared, it would have been enough to shatter half of Guan Bo's body.

"Who do we have here? It's you, you lazy bum. What, are you going to stand up for these mortals?" King Linggan said contemptuously to Guan Bo. The severed fish whiskers had already stopped bleeding quickly and were visibly healing.

Guan Bo spat out the half-eaten fish whisker from his mouth and summoned the Buddhist Jade Ring to surround him. With the blessing of Vajra power, Guan Bo felt that his injuries had healed somewhat.

"I ask you, in the Purple Bamboo Forest of Luojia Mountain, did you eat a little girl?" Guan Bo squeezed out these words through gritted teeth, questioning the King of Inspiration.

"Haha, although I've eaten quite a few people, I remember this one clearly. Full of spiritual energy, fresh and vigorous, she was the most delicious mortal I've ever eaten. The day I ate her, I couldn't bear to finish her in one bite. I tore off her limbs and chewed them first. She screamed in pain until I bit off half of her body before she finally died. It was so interesting!" King Linggan said proudly.

Upon hearing this, Guan Bo's eyes turned bloodshot, and he roared as his demonic power surged as he lunged at Linggan Dawang.

The King of Inspiration swung his giant hammer with disdain, creating a fierce wind that changed the color of the sky and earth.

The hammer struck Guan Bo's chest, causing a large section to cave in.

"You overconfident fool," the King of Inspiration said dismissively.

However, the next moment, the Great King of Inspiration's expression changed. Because Guan Bo was holding onto his giant hammer tightly, which triggered the Heavenly Tribulation of Transformation.

Guan Bo knew very well that he was no match for the Great King of Inspiration. But his demonic power had long since accumulated to a critical point, and he could trigger a heavenly tribulation at any time if he wanted to.

Only by overcoming the heavenly tribulation and undergoing a true transformation can one possibly contend with the King of Inspiration.

If that doesn't work, then I'll drag the King of Inspiration down with me to our deaths.

In critical moments, go all out.

Since Guan Bo did not change his name from his previous life, he could not betray the spirit of bravely facing death.
