The next morning, when Arthur and Henry arrived at the camp outskirts where Kieran was being held, they saw Bill threatening Kieran with castration pliers, occasionally tugging at his pants, causing young Kieran to scream and shout that he was a pervert.

This scene, to be honest, is a bit hard on the eyes.

"Bill, stop!"

Just as Henry was about to speak up to stop him, Arthur spoke first. If he hadn't known that Henry wanted to protect this lucky kid, he wouldn't have bothered with Bill's mess at this point. But he had just promised Henry he wouldn't harm Kieran, and then this happened. He was a little embarrassed.

"Arthur, do you want to come join us? This kid from the Aldrich gang is hilarious, haha!"

"I told you, stop right now, don't mess with me, you idiot!"

Seeing that Arthur seemed genuinely angry, Bill didn't dare go too far. He picked up the castration pliers he used to castrate horses and walked away muttering curses under his breath. As the gang's strongest marksman, Arthur had to give him face, and of course, he wouldn't dare refuse.

“Arthur, I’ve changed my mind. How about we exchange Kieran’s freedom for the favor you owe me? As for the information you want about Colm, I’ll have someone provide it to you later. You know, even if a nobody like him knows something, it’s very limited.”

Seeing Kieran's miserable state, Henry felt a pang of sympathy. He recalled how Kieran had been bullied and beaten by Bill and Sean in the early stages of the game in his previous life, mocked by Javier, Sadie, and Karen, and even had stones thrown at him by Little Jack.

Let's make amends to Kieran for Arthur's past life.

“Henry, you’ve helped me a lot. If you consider me your friend, you can just take him if you want him. Don’t bring up favors or intelligence. It makes my favors seem cheap. He’s just someone I grabbed on the spur of the moment, not worth it.”

Without waiting for Henry's response, he drew his dagger, walked up to Kieran, and prepared to untie him.

Looking haggard, having not eaten all day and not slept well, Kieran hadn't even reacted yet. Seeing Arthur approaching with a knife, he thought he was going to kill him, and with his last remaining strength, he let out a hoarse cry:

"Don't kill me, don't kill me! I'm just a handyman. I've only known them for a short time. I really don't know anything."

Kiran curled up into a ball, his voice rising higher and higher, bordering on hysterical.

“Okay, okay, I know a little bit, but I’m not sure. There’s a place called Six O’Clock in the northeast of Valentine. It seems to be an important stronghold of the O’Clock. Colm sometimes goes there, but I can’t be sure. I’ve only heard it from them.”

Seeing Arthur slowly approaching with a fierce look on his face, Kieran, unwilling to die for the Ottomans, had no choice but to reveal the only information he knew.

Arthur was surprised to find that Kieran mistook him for a 'fierce demon' simply because he was walking a little slower and had been busy these past few days and hadn't had time to groom himself, resulting in him looking rather disheveled. Kieran even revealed some useful information, which was an unexpected bonus.

Although he didn't know if the intelligence was true or false, he could investigate it later and at least report back to Dutch. This was the first time he had acted on his own initiative, releasing prisoners without Dutch's consent.

"Young man, you're lucky to have met a benefactor. This kind-hearted man wants to give you a way out. You should thank him."

Arthur swiftly cut the ropes binding him and gestured to Kieran, who was there to rescue him.

Kieran finally realized what was happening, and a look of surprise and joy spread across his face. But before it could bloom, he fell to the ground. The whole night of being bound, without a drop of water, and the mental torment had exhausted his energy, leaving him very weak.

"Sir, thank you for saving me. I will repay you. I am hardworking and capable. But sir, could you please give me some water to drink first?"

Kieran slumped to the ground and uttered this long string of words to Henry with great difficulty.

"Relax, Kieran. I don't have any water, so you can drink the beer first. There's also a round bread and a chocolate bar."

Henry handed Kieran a bottle of beer and some food, and watching him wolf it down, he gestured for him to eat slowly.

“Kieran Duffy, I know you didn’t want to join a gang, and you were forced to join the Orlando Gang.”

Kieran nodded as he ate, though he didn't know where Henry got the information, but this was his current situation.

When he was young, his parents died of cholera, and he struggled to survive on his own. Fortunately, he was very good at managing horses and was hardworking. A small rancher took him in to help with the work. However, the ranch was later looted by the Ottomans, and he was taken back to the Ottomans as spoils of war.

To survive, he was forced to care for their horses and endure their oppression.

"Now I'm giving you three choices. One is to give you your freedom to leave. You can go wherever you want, and no one will stop you if you want to go back to the Ao Gang."

Upon hearing this, Kieran wanted to speak, but his mouth was full of food, so he couldn't. He didn't want to spit it out and waste the precious food, so he could only shake his head repeatedly to indicate that he would not go back to the O'Hara.

"The second option is to stay in Fanbang, where I'll have Arthur look after you a little. How you live your life after that is up to you."

When Kieran was in the Orcs, he had heard about the Vans and knew that they treated their gang members well, taking care of the elderly and children. For their gang members, it was a good place to belong. He hesitated for a moment, but thinking of Bill's previous state, he shuddered and firmly shook his head.

"Thirdly, you can come and work for me. Later, I will open a horse farm, and you can help me raise horses. I will pay you and will not restrict your freedom. However, it will take me some time to prepare the horse farm. If you choose this option, you can only take risks with me first, which will be quite risky."

"Think it over carefully. Take responsibility for your own future. I respect your decision and will not interfere with your choice. We will be leaving this camp in half an hour, so you have half an hour to think about it and make your decision."

After saying that, Henry planned to leave to see if Dutch and Joseph were ready.

However, Kieran stopped him, swallowed the food in his mouth with difficulty, and said with a firm expression:

“Sir, I’ve made up my mind. I choose the third option. I want to follow you. Since my parents left, apart from the rancher who took me in, you are the best person I’ve ever met. And you even saved my life.”

"Are you sure that following me might put your life in danger at any time?"

"I'm certain that even if it costs me my life, I don't want to go back to my old life, I don't want to live such a pathetic existence anymore."
