Chapter 7 (Sati) I want you to give me a kiss 3

06

Seno and Tinari would play a game to resolve their disagreements. The game originated from an argument they had one evening.

This wasn't the first time Tinari had noticed the wounds on Seno's body; deep and shallow scars etched themselves onto his skin, a mix of old and new. He applied medicine to Seno, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath his touch. Although Seno didn't show any pain, Tinari felt sorry for him.

“You’re always disobedient. You can’t keep risking your life with those desperados. You always come back with so many wounds. When will you ever take good care of yourself?” Tinari said angrily, his hand accidentally getting a little too heavy. Feeling Seno’s slight trembling, Tinari quickly lightened his grip.

Seno didn't know what to say. He wanted to tell a joke to ease the tense atmosphere, but looking into Tinari's eyes, he couldn't bring himself to say it. He could only awkwardly say to him, "I can't help it, I have to do my job."

"I'm not telling you to be irresponsible, I'm just telling you to take care of yourself. I heard you always go in alone. You should at least cooperate with other people. Otherwise, you'll end up with a bunch of wounds like this."

Seno was even more at a loss for words. He wasn't used to, nor did he enjoy, cooperating with the other disciplinary members. After all, in his view, sometimes his teammates could be quite a hindrance. But he couldn't tell Tinari, or he'd be nagged about it all night.

After applying the medicine to the wound, Tinari tidied up the supplies, leaving Seno quietly to avoid disturbing them. Once finished, Tinari walked up to Seno and asked, "Think carefully, what are your wishes or things you want to do right now?"

Tinari's eyes were fixed on Seno, his emerald green eyes filled with seriousness. Seno hesitated for a moment, then thought carefully, "I'd like to play the Seven Sages Summoning, is that alright?" An unexpected yet perfectly reasonable answer. Tinari agreed; he often played cards with Seno, so it wasn't difficult.

Sitting at the table, cards clutched in his hand, Tinari suddenly said, "I've granted your wish. In exchange, you grant one of mine. How about it?"

Upon hearing Tinari's words, Seno had no particular thoughts and nodded in agreement.

Seeing Seno nod, Tinari said, "My wish is that you won't have any wounds when we meet again. Will you grant my wish?" Tinari's hands didn't stop moving; he even took advantage of Seno's momentary daze to defeat one of Seno's cards.

When Seno heard this wish, he understood Tinari's intention. A wave of heat surged in his chest, and the scalding temperature almost burned him.

"Will do."

Tinari was pleased with his answer, and sure enough, from then on, Seno suffered fewer injuries than before. And so began this game of fulfilling each other's wishes. The two of them would carefully exchange small wishes, which actually made life more interesting.

Young love is like the willow tree on the riverbank, sprouting new branches and buds in spring, growing uncontrollably. Seno's youthful, captivating gaze remained hidden in his heart, but his timidity prevented him from expressing it. Meanwhile, the usually intelligent and sensitive Tinari, in matters of the heart, seemed like a block of wood from the forest of Daocheng.

Tinari was always popular; his fluffy ears and tail alone captivated the hearts of many young girls, not to mention that as a responsible forest ranger, many of the people Tinari saved wanted to repay him with their bodies. One day, another young girl approached Tinari. Her eyes were shy and timid, yet she boldly invited Tinari to take a walk in the distant forest. Unexpectedly, Tinari agreed. Suddenly, the news of Forest Ranger Tinari's romance became the talk of the town.

When Sino learned of this news, he was on his way to apprehend the criminals conducting illegal research. Even though he was usually composed at work, he couldn't help but be a little distracted during the battle, and he was accidentally slashed on the arm by an enemy. Drops of blood dripped onto the sand, and the sunlight dried them, leaving mottled marks.

After quickly finishing his work and explaining things to his subordinates, Sino hurriedly returned to Huacheng Guo.

When Seno arrived, Tinari wasn't in the house. Seno could only sit quietly to the side, patiently waiting for Tinari's return. But the quieter it was, the more anxious he became. What if Tinari really had someone he liked? Could I still stay by his side like this? Could we still get along like before? His thoughts were in turmoil, and Seno couldn't sit still any longer, so he began pacing around the house.

Suddenly, Seno noticed a notebook. It was the small notebook that Tinari often carried in his hands, filled with densely packed notes. Tinari had shown him this notebook before, but he didn't know where he had gone to do it and hadn't taken it with him.

Seno stepped forward and opened the small notebook. It contained instructions on how to prepare the medicine, lists of mushrooms to avoid eating, and comparisons of Cole's test results. Of course, he also saw information about himself… Big and small things were recorded there, reminding Seno of the time they had spent together, and his heart gradually calmed down.

After much deliberation, Seno decided he couldn't delay any longer; he had to tell Tinari his feelings. Just as he closed the notebook, a light piece of paper fluttered down.

Seno picked up the paper and examined it closely. It depicted a delicately drawn Patilanza flower, exquisitely crafted and lifelike. Next to it was written: "Grows deep in desert oases, rarely found." Seno knew that Tinari would definitely like this. Having been together for many years, Tinari enjoyed collecting plant samples, and Seno had often brought him some plants from his travels. But Tinari had never mentioned this flower in the drawing to him.

Just then, Tinari's footsteps approached, indicating he had returned. Seeing Seno in the house didn't surprise Tinari; he had given Seno a spare key. Remembering the recent rumors, Tinari assumed Seno had simply returned out of curiosity to ask him. He rubbed his ear, feeling a headache coming on, and was about to explain when he heard Seno's words.

"You like the flowers on these plants, why have you never said so?"

"I found that in some documents a long time ago. It might be extinct now, I think..."

“I’ll go find it.” Seno looked at Tinari seriously.

Tinari knew that Seno was always stubborn, and there was no point in saying anything more. Besides, she had a vague feeling that he could find it. For a moment, she didn't know what to say.

"I found this flower. When I come back, can you grant me one wish?"

“…Okay.” After a long pause, Tinari responded to Seno dryly. He didn’t know why things had turned out this way.

"But promise me you won't force it. If, and I mean if, we don't find it, you can do other things, and I will grant you one of your wishes."

Tinaly snapped out of his daze and spoke earnestly to Seno, worried that Seno's stubbornness might put him in a dangerous situation.

Seno nodded. Most of the time he would listen to Tinari, but on this matter he had no intention of doing so. "It's a promise, no going back on it." I will definitely find this flower, Seno made up his mind.

“It’s a promise,” Tinari replied earnestly.
