Chapter 8 (Sati) I want you to give me a kiss 4

08

In the days that followed, Tinari was unable to see Seno.

When will he be back? Did he encounter any danger on the way...? Her mind was filled with countless thoughts, her thoughts consumed by Seno. There had been times before when Seno hadn't returned for days because of work. But this time, Tinari couldn't shake the feeling of unease and panic.

"I'll wait one more day. If he still doesn't come back, I'll go find him," Tinari secretly made up her mind, and began packing her bags.

As dusk faded and dawn broke, Tinari settled his work and headed to the desert with his luggage.

Shortly after arriving at the disciplinary officer's camp, Tinari inquired about Seno's whereabouts from the others. He asked several people without finding anything useful, but Tinari didn't give up. Just then, a dark-skinned, older man approached. This was an elder with extensive desert experience, and he told Tinari, "Before Lord Seno left, he asked me if there were any long-standing oases in the desert. I told him a few possible locations. He's already been to several places, and this time he went here. But he hasn't returned for several days. If you want to find him, follow this road."

He handed Tinari a map with a route drawn on it, sighed, and the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes deepened with his movement. "I don't know what he's looking for. I hope you can bring him back." With that, he left.

Tina clutched the paper in her hand, thanked the wise old man, and hurriedly left.

The desert was desolate, the sun blazing; even draped in a cloak, Tinari felt as if he were being burned alive. But he didn't want to turn back. For some reason, he desperately wanted to see Seno, to punch him and teach him a lesson for doing something so dangerous again. But if he actually did that, Seno would look at him with such a pitiful expression and surround him, asking why. The thought of Seno's aggrieved face made Tinari want to laugh again.

With firm steps, Tinari walked on. The sun was still blazing, but it couldn't shake his unwavering resolve. Tinari's mood was sour when he entered this secret realm, for it was littered with destroyed traps and the remains of many monsters. Such a dangerous place—how was Seno doing?!

When they found Seno, he was sitting under a tree in the oasis. This oasis was hard to find, located beneath the ruins, but once opened, it was a breathtakingly beautiful paradise. It was covered in lush greenery, including many rare plants, and was home to generations of animals that had lived in seclusion. They weren't afraid of people and would even affectionately surround them.

What Tinari saw was Seno surrounded by birds. He was sitting under a tree, looking disheveled and covered in wounds, but surprisingly in good spirits, even reaching out to tease the birds. Seeing this, Tinari felt a little relieved and went to his side.

“Princess Seno, you look quite well.” Tinari approached and, seeing his injury, spoke to Seno in a somewhat sarcastic tone.

Seno was clearly surprised to meet Tinari here. His usually narrow eyes were wide open, like a startled little sand fox about to jump up. "What are you doing here? How was your time in the desert? Are you alright?"

After saying that, he got up to check on Tinari's body, but Tinari pressed him down, saying, "I'm fine, but I think you're in serious trouble."

"You're pretty impressive, venturing into such a dangerous place all by yourself. Didn't I tell you not to push yourself?" Tinari scolded Seno while tending to his wounds with the water and medicine she had brought. But when she looked up, she saw Seno's happy eyes.

“I’ve found it, the flower you wanted.” With that, she took out a well-preserved Patilansha. It was indeed a beautiful flower, pure white, like an innocent child untouched by the world, with petals like gauze wrapping a soft inner core, and veins distributed like calligraphy and painting.

"Silly." Tinari looked at the flower, then tapped Seno on the head. "Alright, you can tell me your wish now." After tying the bandage, Tinari sat down next to Seno.

The white-haired boy shone brightly in the sunlight, his eyes brimming with undisguised joy. Tinari stared at Seno, somewhat lost in thought. What was he trying so hard for?

Unexpectedly, he blushed and murmured, "Give me a kiss, okay?"

The boy's confession was hidden in a wish. Like the first clap of thunder in spring, after which the spring rain fell gently, nourishing all things. Tinari understood what Seno truly wanted. So that's how it is; Tinari wasn't stupid, he understood the meaning of those words.

Do I like him? Memories of our time together flashed through my mind: the way Sino told corny jokes, the way he was smug when he got the first move in a card game, the way he looked aggrieved when I scolded him after he got injured…

Finally, there's the image of me, young and bright-eyed, asking myself my name...

Why am I always worried about him? Am I just a friend to him? Tinari wondered to himself.

No, it's not just because of that; I like him too. Spring rain nourished this field of my heart, and Tinari recognized the truth in her own heart.

Seeing Tinari's quiet demeanor, Seno's heart grew colder and colder. However, Tinari's actions changed his mind.

Tina moved closer to him, her emerald eyes gazing intently into his gaze, then closed those lake-like eyes. She placed a gentle kiss on his lips, then turned and left. Seno didn't know what to do; he felt completely paralyzed. A tingling, electrifying sensation, especially on his lips, felt as if a butterfly had landed on them, left him feeling utterly numb.

Seno snapped out of his daze, noticed Tinari's flushed face beside him, and then realized what was happening. He was so happy he almost jumped for joy. He hugged Tinari tightly, trembling with emotion, saying, "I love you so much, I've always loved you, from the very first time we met..."

Tina blushed and covered the mouth of the idiot in front of her, feeling embarrassed as well. "Stop talking, you idiot," she said, stopping Seno from continuing his confession. She was relieved that no one else was around, and her ears had flattened out from excessive embarrassment.

After being restrained, Seno didn't struggle. Only when Tinari released him did he cling to Tinari, repeatedly asking if he could kiss him again. Tinari, no longer shy, poked Seno's wound and said, "You're still injured, don't think about such things."

After a short rest, the two began their journey back.

Later, news of their relationship was accidentally revealed by Colley, becoming big news once again.

“I told you so! Those two are living like a married couple. How could Mr. Tinari be having an affair with someone else?” In Huacheng Guoli, one scholar was talking to another, his tone full of pride. He had finally proven himself right.

The other person scratched his head. "Okay, you're right this time."

.........

"By the way, why did you agree to go out with that girl back then?" Seno finally asked. He trusted Tinari a lot, but he was also very curious.

Tinari glanced at him and then said, "That girl came to thank me for saving her sweetheart. He's an adventurer from Liyue who got lost in the Sumeru Forest on his first visit. I found him and brought him back."

"They were secretly dating. The adventurer's family lived in Liyue, but the girl's parents disapproved of their relationship. They were just about to ask me to deliver some things to the person she liked."

Sino nodded. "I see. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

Looking at Seno's serious expression, Tinari turned and kissed him. After a while, he wasn't so shy anymore. Their life went on as before. If there was any change, it was that the two of them would occasionally do something more intimate. Cole was quite startled when he first saw it! Tinari couldn't help but chuckle as he recalled this.
