HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

Chapter 5 Intruding into the Magical World

'Muggle Dispel Charm'

For wizards, it is a very simple yet very important spell.

It can completely separate the magical world from the Muggle world. Although the two worlds are on the same planet and land, in places where a dispelling charm has been cast, ordinary people without magic will be blind to the important places where wizards live and operate.

Even if you're lucky enough to run into them on the street, your brain will control your body to subconsciously avoid them.

Through Os's pleas, Teach learned that the Muggle Dispel Charm had spread throughout the entire magical world. Neither satellites, sonic detectors, nor thermal imaging could detect or observe it.

This result infuriated Teach, who wanted to enter the magical world but had no way to do so. In a fit of anger, he wanted to kill the useless Os immediately, but reason prevailed over his anger.

Under persistent questioning, Teach asked many questions about the spell.

Os was somewhat alarmed by these questions. Wizards were not known to ordinary people, let alone magic and spells. But this ruthless heir of the Karl family knew everything about them, and in great detail.

After learning the details of the spell, Teach's biggest worry and fear was relieved.

That is 'Leech'... a terrifying spell that can read other people's memories and knowledge. If an enemy successfully casts this spell on him, then Teach Carl will have no secrets left.

What Os said was the incantation to capture the spirit...

It 'must' be used to cast a spell with a magic wand in order to achieve its maximum effect and to fully explore the information and memories that the human brain wants to know.

You can investigate even without a wand. But if a person's will is strong enough or their mind is blank, the spell will fail.

Even wizards with 'natural' Legilimency abilities cannot escape the unspoken rule of wand spellcasting.

Because this spell is so unique, its difference compared to its defensive spell, Occlumency, is obvious. Very few people in the entire wizarding world possess it, and even fewer have mastered the art of creating false memories.

Even Harry Potter, the savior, couldn't learn it after Snape's repeated instruction.

After Teach finished asking his questions, he grabbed Os and, amidst Os's desperate pleas, Os was eventually turned into a gem.

Teach never once said anything as foolish as offering to spare his life if he answered the questions.

[The life and death of the materials indeed make a difference in the emeralds produced.] Gems made from living Os have more vitality, and the black magic within them is also more powerful. But Teach is not satisfied with this. The gem-making chapter in the magic book states, 'Mastering magic is about extracting the energy and abilities of living beings.'

At this stage, Teach can only extract energy, building upon the research of generations of the Carl family.

The next chapter in the magic book is about the formation of 'magic circuits'.

(This setting is borrowed, with some modifications, and is not a complete copy.)

This technique requires the cultivation of biological abilities. The biological abilities are extracted and transformed into a magical circuit, which is then installed on one's own body, thereby achieving the magical ability to use one's own energy to perform magic.

"To master magic circuits, I need experimental materials, enough materials for me to dissect and study," Teach thought to himself. After cleaning the gem-enhancing array, he packed his things and left the underground pipes.

......

Inside a motel on a desert highway.

After completing his daily gun maintenance routine, Teach lay on his single bed, carefully recalling details from the Harry Potter movies of his past life. He then compared and filtered the information with the details Os had provided.

Amidst the swirling storm of thoughts in his mind, Teach began to grasp the situation: [The Muggle Dispel Charm is a passive skill; it only makes Muggles invisible, causing them to subconsciously avoid it.]

However, it won't act like a wall to prevent people from breaking in.

[Since I have no magic powers, I can't get through the main gate, so I'll just force my way in like a headless fly.]

Having figured this out, Teach took out a map of the entire United Kingdom from his briefcase and, based on the selected information, drew a circle on the map with a red pen.

The location marked is... England, in the United Kingdom.

[Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Harry Potter is surrounded by mountains, clearly enveloped by them, and outside the school lies a large 'Black Lake.' The lake should connect to the sea.]

So... I should go searching along all the lakeside routes, big and small, throughout England, and just keep going.

Having determined the route, Teach didn't want to delay and checked out the next day.

After much searching, I found a small company that sells civilian aircraft and spent a high price to buy an unregistered commercial propeller plane.

The storage space behind the cockpit is fifteen cubic meters, and Teach plans to fill the entire cabin with firearms. After all, he's a Muggle without magic, and if he wants to hunt magical creatures or the unlucky wizards who happen to run into trouble, he'll have to rely on these firearms and ammunition.

Teach didn't want to trouble his adoptive mother, Maggie, with the channels for purchasing firearms. Although she was a renowned arms dealer who could even procure military tanks and armed helicopters, Teach, as her son, didn't want to expose the magical world to her and cause her worry.

He didn't want to be bombarded with his mother's questions, nagging, and attempts to dissuade her.

Keep in mind that Teach Carr is now an 18-year-old adult and has passed the coming-of-age test given by Machi.

He called Corey Bab and asked him to help with the guns.

Of course, Corey, who was busy working for his pension, would definitely try to extort a large sum of money from Teach for his services.

But for Teach, who inherited the Carl family's centuries-old fortune, this amount of money was utterly insignificant: "Ha, just a string of numbers."

[Nothing is more important than my extraordinary path in magic.]

Teach had this idea not only because of the mysterious allure of magic, but more importantly because the magic book recorded a ritual...

'Holy Grail Ritual'

By creating the Holy Grail, one can reach the Root and complete the Third Law, achieving the miracle of a perpetual motion machine that grants immortality.

Corey Bab was very efficient; he gathered the truckload of weapons Teach needed in less than two days. And because Teach Larry was the son of his old flame, Corey generously hauled them onto the plane for free.

Upon learning the reason, Teach was instantly filled with curiosity about his adoptive mother Maggie's romantic experiences in her youth. But as for calling to ask... he, as her son, dared not.

After the weapons were loaded, Teach put on his helmet and goggles and started the aircraft.

Because of the teachings and training he received from Machi, Teach also had his own multiple sources of weapons, but outsiders were never as trustworthy as his own people.

Moreover, Corey has never uttered a single question about the strange things Teach is doing now.

Even though Corey had some concern for his 'nephew' out of respect for his unrequited love, Maggie, Corey never asked him anything.

After flying rapidly at high altitude for several hours, Teach arrived in England from London. Following his planned route, Teach lowered his altitude and forced his way along the lakeside river.

Because it was propelled by an airplane, Teach believed that the passive dispelling effect of the Muggle Dispel Charm was unavoidable for him personally, but it shouldn't have any effect on an inanimate airplane.
