Although Ma Qi, lying on the hospital bed, looked peaceful, Herman felt a strong sense of pain and anger through her unclosed, empty eyes.

Hermione sat beside March by the bedside, while Teach watched from a distance through binoculars.

After a long while, the visit ended.

Corey Bab took the heartbroken Hermione out of the hospital, then picked up Teach Carl on the way to the station, before finally rushing back to the hospital to continue caring for March.

On the train back, Hermione couldn't help but ask, "Teacher, your mother's soul was tormented by the Cruciatus Curse and is it really only the 'power of God' that can heal her? Isn't there any way now?"

"Even just closing her eyes would be better."

Teach calmly and slowly shook his head: "There's no way. There's no way in any magic I know."

"I also searched through the entire Hogwarts library, and among the magic books that have been accumulated for over a thousand years, I couldn't find a way to heal the soul."

"To collapse is to disappear. Deep down, I know that Ma Qi's soul is gone, but I just don't want to face that fact."

"In order to rebuild Machi's soul, my analytical training array is based on 'decomposition' and 'recombination'."

Hermione sensed a deep sorrow in Teach's calm tone, and took his hand, saying, "Teacher, my analytical array is something like 'life'."

"We will definitely cure Grandma Maqi, we definitely will."

Encouraged by Hermione, Teach's calm lips curled into a smile, and he said with satisfaction, "Then my Hermione, you must work hard and strive to complete your analysis of the transmutation circle as soon as possible, so that we, master and apprentice, can advance together on the path of magic."

"Yes, I will, teacher."

......

In the afternoon, I took Hermione home.

Tichy Carr declined the Grangers' warm invitation to stay.

Then, following the address given to the Auror squad by Vikman Karen, Teach boarded a plane to Edinburgh.

It was already past midnight when they arrived in Edinburgh. Instead of resting, Teach used teleportation magic to leap from rooftop to rooftop in Edinburgh, hoping to lure the Auror wizard out in this conspicuous manner.

As it turned out, it really did bring it to light.

A curse, "Faint and Collapse," echoed from the alleyway below a building.

Upon hearing the sound, Teach instantly teleported and reappeared in front of the Auror wizard who had cast the spell on him. He then pulled out a pistol, pointed it at the wizard, and deliberately asked, "Why did you attack me? I don't remember provoking you."

The Auror, with a gun pointed at him, sneered, "You don't know why I attacked you? That's a huge joke."

“Os, Nicol... Our Ministry of Magic sent three groups of people to arrest you, and a total of thirteen Auror wizards died at your hands. How dare you say you didn’t provoke us?”

"Heh~, I truly never provoked you from beginning to end. It was your Ministry of Magic that coveted my Karl family's inheritance first, and I killed Os and the other two to protect my property."

"After that, your Ministry of Magic sent people to hunt me down. That damned wizard Nicol even tortured my mother and dared to harm my family. Am I not allowed to kill them?"

"Finally, the Ministry of Magic sent another team to hunt me down. Was I wrong to fight back and kill them?"

Teach Carr's words left the Auror wizard unable to find a reason to refute them, so he raised his wand in a fit of rage. But just as he was about to cast a spell, an Auror Apparated and stopped him from courting death in front of Teach.

"Mr. Kington, why are you stopping me from avenging my colleagues?"

The wizard named Kington slapped him across the face and said expressionlessly, "Mr. Donald, you have been blinded by anger and hatred. I think this slap should calm you down."

After reprimanding his subordinates, Kington opened his palm in front of Teach, then bowed slightly and said, "Mr. Carl, my name is Kington Kitsch, and I am the Minister of the Department of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic."

"Please allow me, the minister, to apologize for the stupidity and offense of my subordinates."

"We are not here to arrest you, but to negotiate the matter of you killing my Ministry of Magic Auror."

Despite Kington's explanation, Teach did not put away his gun.

Seeing this, Kington continued to explain, "Mr. Carl, to be honest, the Ministry of Magic is now divided into three factions. The three teams of Aurors that are chasing you were ordered by the current Director General Cornelius Fudge, and have nothing to do with us."

"So, which faction do you, the Minister of the Mysterious Department, belong to?"

Kington calmly replied to Teach Carr's question, "I lead the Department of Transportation, the Department of Sports, and my Department of Mysteries to form a faction, and I advocate ~ discarding the old and replacing it with the new."

Upon receiving this answer, Teach lowered his gun. Regardless of whether Kington was telling the truth or not, he had at least explained the nature of his faction: "So what do you, the new minister, want from me? It can't just be a simple peace talk, can it?"

"Yes, Mr. Carl, I am not here to negotiate, I am here to discuss cooperation."

To discuss cooperation, there needs to be a place to discuss it.

Out of caution, Teach Carr did not go to the place Kington had chosen, but instead sat down in a fast food restaurant that was open all night on the street.

"Tell me, how do you want to cooperate with me?" Teach ordered two coffees for himself and then asked bluntly.

Kington wasn't in a hurry. After taking a sip of the Muggle-brewed coffee, he slowly said, "Before we discuss cooperation, I'd like to ask, Mr. Carl, how far have you progressed in your magic research?"

The atmosphere immediately turned cold at the question, but after thinking for a moment, Teach said vaguely, "With my current magic, killing you wizards is not difficult."

Although Teach Carr did not say it explicitly, Kington had a general idea in his mind and then said, "Mr. Carr, I can forgive and forget about your killing of my Ministry of Magic Auror, and I guarantee that no Auror wizard will come after you."

"But in exchange for this cooperation, I need a promise from you, Mr. Carl..."

"What promise?"

"Create chaos when I need it to help me take the position of Minister of Magic."

Kington's terms of cooperation puzzled Teach, who asked doubtfully, "You have the power to govern three departments in the Ministry of Magic and are fully capable of competing with the other two factions. It seems you don't need my help to become the Director General, do you?"

Kington shook his head: "No... Mr. Karl, you're not from the wizarding world, you don't know how outdated it is now."

"The magical world has been too peaceful and rigid for thousands of years; apart from the two riots caused by the Dark Lord, nothing has changed."

"Without change, there is no opportunity. Without opportunity, I cannot take the position of headquarters director to change this old magical world."

Kington, seeing that Teach Carr was about to say something, interrupted him, "I know what Mr. Carr is trying to say. The mysterious man is indeed not dead; he will definitely return, and the day he returns will be the day the magical world changes, but..."

"But the mysterious man is too cruel and suspicious. If I go to him then, I might get the position of headquarters chief, but I will be controlled by him."

"Mr. Carl, tell me, would you want that kind of power that's dependent on others?"
