HP: The Root of Everything - The Magician

Chapter 101 The Old Dumbledore

'Zzzzzzz~~~'

Amidst the thick white smoke and steam, several cracking sounds rang out, followed by a continuous stream of such sounds.

When Dumbledore stopped the watering and waited for the steam to dissipate, he saw that Andre's skin had peeled away layer by layer. No blood oozed from these cracks because it had been evaporated by the temperature of the steam.

Seizing the opportunity, Dumbledore cast a Shattering Curse along the crack into Andre's body.

As for whether being smashed to pieces would cost Andre's life, Dumbledore had considered it, and there were two aspects to it.

On one hand, if Andri were to die, he wanted to see if Teach Carr would attack him because of the death of this dragon-armed servant, whether it was out of sentimentality or inhuman ruthlessness.

By attacking, Dumbledore could investigate Teach's magical powers during the battle and determine the extent of the danger Teach posed to Hogwarts.

Without an attack, Dumbledore would think Teach was an incredibly cold person, someone who could remain expressionless even in the face of death for those around him.

Secondly, there's Andri himself.

Dumbledore was a traditional wizard who did not want turmoil in the wizarding world; peace was the wizarding world he desired.

Andri, this kind of 'human,' is someone Dumbledore has never seen before, nor has he ever appeared in the history of magic, so Andri himself represents something unpredictable.

The overwhelming power made Andri uncontrollable.

All that was unknown about Andrei was, for Dumbledore, a very likely source of unrest.

Therefore, in order to eliminate any future trouble, Dumbledore wanted to kill Andre.

Andri frowned, clutching his chest where he had been struck by the Shattering Curse. He felt the pain of his body being torn apart and separated by magic, but the pain was insignificant to Andri, who had endured the torment of his wrist bones for over a hundred years.

Andre looked up at Dumbledore, whose face was kind but whose methods were ruthless. Then, in front of Dumbledore, he used magic to heal the wounds in his body. Finally, he mobilized the natural magic that was everywhere in the air and used a huge amount of magic to remove the Shattering Curse from his body.

After completing these two steps, when Andri lowered his hands, his body had fully recovered, and the cracks on his skin had healed completely.

As Andrei moved his recovered body, the sound of a teacup clinking reached his ears.

Andrei looked in the direction of the sound and saw that Teach had put down the black tea in his hand, and there was a hint of anger and impatience in his one gold and one black eyes.

Teach's wink was clearly a signal to Andre to stop playing around.

Seeing this, Andri abandoned his casual attitude and became cold. With this coldness, Andri's aura also became unusually violent.

This is a kind of malevolent energy, the most primal malevolent energy of dragon-type creatures.

Upon hearing this malevolent aura, Dumbledore sensed something was wrong. Before he could swing his Elder Wand to launch an attack, Andrei used the berserk power of [Strength] to instantly teleport to Dumbledore's side.

The dragon claw struck mercilessly, and Dumbledore, without a staff, Apparated.

Andri threw away the gray wizard's robe fragments from the dragon claw, then his magic expanded and spread outwards, waves of magical energy surging through the courtyard of Karl Castle.

This magical energy wave had an impact on the space.

Although the effect was negligible, it was enough to disrupt Dumbledore's Apparition, causing him to fall out of the apparition.

Amidst the shockwave, Andri sensed a ripple and distortion in a certain point of space. Without hesitation, Andri opened his mouth, gathering dragon breath, and launched it towards that point of distortion.

As Dumbledore emerged from Apparition in disbelief, a beam of dragon breath, like a laser beam of fire, shot towards him.

In this urgent situation, Dumbledore, disregarding his disheveled appearance after falling to the ground, quickly raised the Elder Wand and cast his self-created spell, 'Fire God's Way'.

The dragon's breath and the fire god's path collided instantly.

At the moment the two magical forces collided, Dumbledore felt the destructive power of the dragon's breath and the propulsive force it was sending forth. He gripped the Great Magician tightly and shouted, as a surge of magical power flowed from his body and into the Hephaestus's Path.

Despite Dumbledore's arduous magical output, the dragon's breath was gradually split apart in the middle. Seeing this, Andrei also increased the amount of magical energy released from the dragon's breath.

Under the immense power of the dragon's breath, Dumbledore was forced to retreat. Although his feet did not move back a single step, they left charred marks on the ground.

'Heh~ Ah......'

With a gritted jaw and bulging veins on his hands, Dumbledore struggled to lift the Elder Wand upwards, using all his strength to deflect the dragon's breath towards the sky.

The dragon's breath shot into the sky, and after Andri stopped maintaining the magic, it exploded in the air.

The violent explosion, along with the dazzling fireworks bursting forth from the flames, was truly spectacular.

The servants in Karl Castle looked up, staring blankly at the dragon's breath exploding in the sky, then looked down at Andri, who was emitting smoke from his mouth. In the silence, they couldn't help but shudder with fear.

In the city a few kilometers from Karl Castle, people strolling in the streets, drinking coffee or beverages by the roadside, driving on the road, and even students in schools all saw the magnificent fireworks exploding in the distant sky.

Some people wondered if the fireworks company had released a new product and were thinking of buying one to play with during the holidays.

Some people took out their cameras to take pictures, wanting to record these unique fireworks.

Dumbledore knelt wearily on one knee, looking at Andrei, and couldn't help but sigh: "I'm old, really old. If I were a few decades younger, I could have blocked that attack."

After his exclamation, Dumbledore, wearing a grey wizard's robe that had been torn in a large piece and burned by dragon breath, stood up shakily.

He wants to continue fighting; although he's old, he refuses to accept his age.

As Dumbledore watched Andre walk towards him step by step, he was more stern than ever before, but then Andre stopped.

Before Dumbledore could even wonder what was happening, suddenly, a slender yet incredibly strong arm grabbed him from behind and pinned him to the ground, rendering him immobile.

Dumbledore was about to use the Elder Wand to fight back, but the overwhelming and terrifying savage killing intent forced him to abandon his attempt to resist.

A beautiful, rebuking voice rang out: "Yeva? Where are the two sisters, Sibylan? Where have they gone?"

"Andrei, the castle has been attacked by villains. Why are you the only one here to stop them?"

On her way home from London, Xia Ke saw the fireworks of the dragon's breath explosion from the sky and instantly realized that villains had attacked the castle. So she flew back with murderous intent.

Then she circled behind Dumbledore and pinned the greatest and most powerful white wizard of her time to the ground with a single blow.

Questioned and reprimanded with murderous intent by Shakkar, the three people who had been watching the show from inside the castle, at Andri's prompting, pouted slightly in dissatisfaction and appeared.

In Dumbledore's overwhelmed vision, he saw Yeva, Cybirand, and Kiraro approaching. Their ordinary arms transformed into dragon arms, identical to those of Andrei, who was fighting him.

At this moment, Dumbledore's heart trembled, as if by a magnitude 10 earthquake: [Dragon Arm experts, there are actually... multiple of them].

After giving the three Yeva who had come out a very disapproving look, Xia Ke finally had time to look at the illegal attackers who were being pinned to the floor.

At just one glance, Xia Ke felt an extraordinary sense of familiarity with the white-haired, white-bearded figure from behind.

After a second glance, Xia Ke was so shocked that she immediately jumped up and pulled Dumbledore up like a child who had made a mistake.

Xia Ke awkwardly smiled and begged for forgiveness, saying, "...Ah...haha, Headmaster Dumbledore, it's you! I...I...I didn't know it was you."
