Not only Stella, but Damian and the others also looked over.

In their minds, Robert was a wealthy elf who could find almost every gem in the world in his workshop.

When they were learning to identify gemstones, they learned by seeing and touching them one by one in Robert's workshop.

Isn't it strange that someone like Robert would have a gem that he had been searching for for many years without success?

Upon hearing Stella's words, Robert was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled when he saw the three of them looking at him with the same inquisitive eyes.

“It was a gem I really wanted back then, but I never managed to get my hands on,” Robert said casually. “Now I have something more precious, so it doesn’t matter if I get that gem or not.”

“Besides,” Robert said gently, looking at Damian before him, “my original purpose was to give it to the unborn elf cub.”

Stella had a guess about the competition among the adult elves before Damian's birth.

"Robert, you wouldn't have been planning to compete for the position of the young's guide all these years ago, would you?"

“Of course,” Robert said matter-of-factly, “the cubs are so rare, it’s never too much for me to prepare for as long as I want.”

"Wow!"

Stella and the other two exclaimed in surprise at the same time.

After leaving Robert's place, Damian hesitated before asking, "Stella, do you have any trustworthy friends who can go to that auction?"

Stella asked him, "Are you planning to buy that gem and give it to Robert?"

Damian nodded: "I have that idea, but I don't know how much that gem will cost."

"If all my pocket money and all my treasures combined aren't enough, I'll have to give up."

Lucas leaned closer: "Damian, don't worry, I have money too. I can give you all my money, you don't have to pay it back!"

Damian refused: "Thank you, Lucas, but I want to pay for things for my guide myself."

Stella's eyes lit up, and she came up with a solution: "Damian, don't worry about the money. I'll go ask the king to find a reliable person."

After saying that, Stella flew towards the palace before Damian could ask any more questions.

After listening to Stella's words, the Elf King asked her, "Who was the person you originally thought of?"

“It’s Daniel,” Stella said, referring to Eugene’s great-grandson. “The Daniel family’s position is unstable due to Eugene’s death and Ralph’s rise to power, so they probably need to show friendly relations with the elves.”

“If I ask him for help, he, or his family, will definitely be able to get this done for me.”

The Elf King nodded: "Then go and write the letter."

That means agreeing.

Stella immediately wrote a letter to Daniel.

The letter made no mention of Damian's existence, only stating that Robert was too busy with the Elven amusement park project to leave and had to give up this rare opportunity.

Stella had received a lot of help from Robert before and was very grateful, so she wanted to help him bid for this gem and give it to him.

Unfortunately, Stella was still too young to freely enter and leave the Elven realm, so she had to ask her good friend Daniel for help inquiring about the approximate price of the gem so she could prepare the money and find someone else to bid on it.

After sending the letter, Stella took out her small box containing money and carefully counted it.

The Elf King asked, "You want to help Damian buy it? I'm afraid he won't agree."

“I know,” Stella said slyly, “Damian doesn’t want my help for free, but I can pay him to do things for me.”

“During this trip with Savison, I picked out quite a few gemstones that I like, as well as pearls and coral beads that Doris gave me. I just need a talented designer to turn them into exquisite jewelry.”

“Damian has the ability. I want to find him, but I can’t bear to see him spend so much time and get nothing in return. Wouldn’t it be perfect to give him money as compensation under the guise of hiring him?”

Seeing that she had thought everything through, the Elf King stopped saying anything and let her do whatever she wanted.

Just as Stella had expected, Daniel replied quickly.

The letter not only specified the price of the gemstone but also mentioned that Daniel's father had learned about it. He planned to personally handle the bidding for Stella, so she wouldn't have to find someone else to bid.

As for why Daniel wasn't sent directly, it's because he's still too young and not old enough to attend such events, so they had to ask him to find out the information.

After receiving the reply, Stella packed her things and went to find Damian.

Damian's expression turned grave as he looked at the amount written in the letter.

"Is it that much different?" Lucas glanced over and did some mental calculations, feeling a bit worried.

It's not just what Damian saved up; even if you emptied all the money in his possession, it would still be far from enough.

After all, as an elf cub, they don't have to worry about food, clothing, or shelter. Elf shops don't require money either, so the pocket money he has is just a drop in the bucket compared to the money needed for the auction.

Stella cleared her throat: "Damian, I haven't properly thanked you for all the dresses you made for me before."

Stella's offer was a considerable labor fee.

Before Damian could refuse, Stella took out her box containing loose jewelry and pushed it in front of him, adding some money to it as well.

"I have a lot of things I want you to do this time, and it will take a lot of effort, so I'm giving you this money as a deposit in advance."

"Thank you, Stella," Damian, being such a clever cub, could easily see that she was trying to help him.

Damian put away Stella's jewelry box: "I will design and make it carefully and give it to you as soon as possible."

“There’s no need to rush,” Stella stopped him. “Do it when you have time. You should go to bed early and get up early, otherwise you might be shorter than Lucas when you become the older brother.”

“That won’t do,” Damian muttered. “I’ll grow very tall and protect you, Stella.”

“Okay,” Stella said seriously, “then I’ll be waiting!”

Damian curled his lips and gave away almost all of his wealth, along with the money Stella had just given him. He wasn't heartbroken; on the contrary, he was very much looking forward to it.

"I wonder what Robert will make with this gem. I must be the first elf to see it!"
