Beast Taming Star Journey

"It seems like something..." Before I could finish speaking, a dark shadow swooped down from the tree! Instinctively, I shielded Su Yao behind me and summoned my beast companion—the Crimson Flame Leopard.

The Crimson Leopard let out a deafening roar and collided with the shadowy figure. In the dim light, I finally made out the attacker's appearance.

It was a creature resembling a cheetah, much larger than an ordinary cheetah, covered in black scales that shimmered with a metallic sheen.

Its eyes gleamed like two burning flames, radiating a fierce light. "A Black-Scaled Leopard!" exclaimed the Beastmaster Huang. "This is a mid-level dangerous creature; its strength should not be underestimated!"

The Black Scale Leopard was incredibly fast; it engaged in a fierce battle with the Crimson Flame Leopard, their figures flashing and dazzling.

The Crimson Flame Leopard, relying on the power shared through the Equal Contract, barely managed to fight the Black Scale Leopard to a standstill. I didn't stand idly by; I conjured a ball of flame in my hand and blasted it towards the Black Scale Leopard.

The flames struck the black-scaled leopard's side with a dull thud. The leopard, in pain, roared angrily and intensified its attack.

"Watch out!" Su Yao warned. I felt a gust of wind coming from behind me and quickly dodged to the side.

A giant spider dangled from a tree, its eight eyes gleaming with an eerie green light, and its sharp fangs dripping a viscous liquid.

"A highly venomous spider!" Green Girl cried out in terror. "Its venom can paralyze its prey instantly!" My heart sank. There really were many dangerous creatures in this forest.

I conjured flames again and unleashed them at the venomous spider. The flames repelled the spider, but did not cause it any real damage. "This can't go on," said the Beastmaster Huang. "We must find a way out as soon as possible!"

“I know a shortcut,” said the Green Girl, “that goes around this dangerous area.”

"Okay, let's go!" I made a quick decision and led everyone to run in the direction the green girl had indicated.

The black-scaled leopard and the highly venomous spider were hot on our heels, and we had to dodge their attacks the whole way, leaving us in a sorry state.

Just as we were about to reach the entrance to the path, the Purple Beastmaster suddenly appeared in front of us and blocked our way.

"Where do you think you're going?" the Purple Beastmaster sneered. "All the treasures in this secret realm are mine!" As soon as he finished speaking, several black-scaled leopards and venomous spiders rushed out of the forest and surrounded us.

I took a deep breath, feeling an even stronger connection with the Crimson Leopard, a powerful surge of energy coursing through my body. I knew this was going to be a fierce battle, but I would never back down!

"Crimson Flame Leopard, burn!" I shouted, and the Crimson Flame Leopard let out a deafening roar. Its body burst into flames, and like a fiery red lightning bolt, it pounced towards the Purple Beastmaster... Su Yao watched my heroic appearance in battle, and unconsciously moved closer to me. Her chest heaved, and she whispered in my ear, "Yu..." The Crimson Flame Leopard transformed into a fiery red lightning bolt, carrying a scorching aura as it pounced on the Purple Beastmaster.

He clearly hadn't expected the Crimson Leopard to gain such increased speed and power while burning, and in his haste, he only had time to summon his tamed beast—a porcupine covered in sharp quills.

The porcupine raised its quills, trying to defend itself against the Crimson Leopard's attack, but the leopard's burning claws tore a gash in its throat, causing it to let out a shrill scream.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I conjured an even more powerful flame in my hand and blasted it towards the Purple Beastmaster. He dodged in a sorry state, a look of terror on his face.

“You…you actually…” He pointed at me, his voice filled with disbelief.

I sneered, "This is just the beginning!" The intensity of the battle made my blood boil, and the mental connection between me and the Crimson Flame Leopard became even stronger. I could clearly feel its fighting spirit.

Su Yao stood beside me, her gaze fixed on me, her eyes shining with admiration.

During a lull in the fighting, Su Yao unconsciously moved closer to me, her chest heaving with rapid breathing. She whispered in my ear, "Yu, you're so strong."

Her warm breath brushed against my ear, sending a shiver through me. I glanced at her and saw the blush rising on her cheeks, her eyes filled with a hint of dazedness.

I took a deep breath and forced myself to focus on the battle. Now is not the time for sentimentality; we are still in a dangerous situation and could encounter new dangers at any moment.

The Purple Beastmaster was being suppressed by the Crimson Flame Leopard and was forced to retreat. A sinister glint flashed in his eyes. Taking advantage of our inattention, he secretly took out a few small metal balls from his pocket and threw them into the surrounding woods.

I vaguely saw the metal ball land and quickly disappear into the soil. "Watch out!" A sense of foreboding rose in my heart, and I quickly shouted a warning to everyone.

The experienced Beastmaster Huang immediately understood the Beastmaster Zi's intention: "It's a trap! Everyone watch your step!"

We cautiously observed our surroundings and moved our feet carefully.

A tense atmosphere filled the air, as if some danger lurked in the shadows, ready to deliver a fatal blow at any moment.

The girl gripped my sleeve tightly, her face pale and her body trembling slightly. I patted her shoulder, signaling her not to be afraid.

We continued along the path, taking each step with extreme caution.

Suddenly, I felt a slight tremor under my feet, and then the ground suddenly collapsed, and I fell down instantly!

"Nong Yu!" Su Yao exclaimed, reaching out to grab me, but it was too late. I had fallen into a deep pit, surrounded by complete darkness, where you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.

I struggled to steady myself and discovered that the bottom of the pit was covered with sharp wooden spikes. Fortunately, I reacted quickly and used my beast-taming power to protect myself, thus avoiding being injured by the spikes.

"Damn it!" I cursed under my breath. The Purple Beastmaster was so despicable, setting a trap during my escape! I tried to climb out of the pit, but found the walls to be smooth and impossible to climb.

A wave of despair washed over me. Were we really going to be trapped here? Just then, I sensed something moving at the bottom of the pit.

I cautiously conjured a ball of flame and shone it toward the direction of the commotion.

By the dim light of the fire, I saw a narrow passage at the bottom of the pit, and something seemed to be shimmering at the end of it. Could it be... treasure?

A surge of excitement welled up inside me, but at the same time, I felt a sense of unease. The surroundings were eerily quiet, a silence that sent chills down my spine.

"Who's there?" I asked tentatively, my voice echoing in the empty pit, but there was no response...
