"Little guy, can you sense anything?" I asked softly to the Crimson Flame Fox clinging to my shoulder. It was my earliest companion and my most reliable assistant in sensing danger.

The Crimson Fox sniffed the air, its tail twitched uneasily, and it let out a low whimper before pointing with its paw into the depths of the passage.

Although it couldn't speak, I understood what it meant: there was something deep inside the passage, but it also sensed danger.

I took a deep breath and channeled my beast-taming power to its fullest extent, keeping myself in peak condition.

Then, I carefully stepped into the passage and walked step by step toward the place where the light was shimmering.
