Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 115 The Beginning of Crossover, A New Path Ahead

The piercing alarm stopped abruptly, replaced by a low hum, as if some giant beast was growling in its slumber.

I held Su Yao's hand tightly and looked around warily.

The towering buildings reflected a metallic sheen, strangely shaped vehicles weaved through the streets, and a peculiar energy fluctuation permeated the air—all of this was completely different from the world we had ever seen before. "Where...where exactly is this place?" Su Yao's voice trembled slightly as she instinctively moved closer to me, as if seeking a sense of security.

I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Don't panic, let's observe first." I released my spiritual sense and tried to perceive the surrounding environment.

At first, I felt a sense of confusion, with various unfamiliar energy fluctuations intertwined, making it difficult for me to distinguish them.

But soon, I discovered a pattern, a fluctuation similar to, yet different from, the energy of beast taming in our world.

I concentrated, carefully sensing the fluctuations, and gradually, I began to understand the rules of beast taming in this world. "It seems that the beast taming system here is similar to ours," I said softly, "only the way energy is used is slightly different." Su Yao looked at me in surprise, "You figured it out so quickly?" I smiled, "It's just a preliminary understanding; I still need to observe further." Su Yao's eyes were full of admiration. She gently took my arm and said softly, "Yu, you're amazing." I felt the warmth of her arm, and a warm current surged in my heart.

In this unfamiliar world, having her by my side made me feel incredibly safe. We walked slowly along the street, observing everything around us.

The residents here are mostly tall with bronze skin, and their clothing style is completely different from ours, full of a technological feel.

They didn't seem surprised by us outsiders, only occasionally casting curious glances at us.

I noticed that the buildings on both sides of the street were decorated with a peculiar symbol, similar to the beast-taming emblems in our area, but with a more complex design.

I guessed that this might be a symbol representing different forces. Suddenly, my spiritual sense detected a strong energy fluctuation that was rapidly approaching us.

My heart skipped a beat, and I immediately became alert. "Someone's coming," I whispered to Su Yao, "Be careful." A moment later, a group of people came into view.

The leader was a tall man dressed in gorgeous clothes, with short blond hair that shone in the sunlight, and eyes full of arrogance and disdain.

He was followed by a group of people dressed in similar uniforms, each radiating a powerful energy fluctuation.

I recognized the man at a glance; he was Kross, another champion in the Beast Taming World and a formidable opponent in this competition.

Cross walked up to us, looking down at us with a cold smile. "Outsiders," he said arrogantly, "this isn't a place for you to run wild." I met his gaze without flinching. "We're just here to compete; we have no intention of causing trouble." One of Cross's men stepped forward, pointing at us and saying, "You'd better be smart and go back to where you came from. This isn't a place for country bumpkins like you." A surge of anger welled up inside me, but I clenched my fists, forcing myself not to explode.

Su Yao clung tightly to me, and I could feel her body trembling slightly. I gently patted her hand, signaling her not to worry.

This small gesture made Su Yao's face flush slightly, but the worry in her eyes did not diminish at all.

“Now that we’re here, we won’t leave easily,” I said calmly, trying to control my anger. “We will definitely participate in the competition.”

Cross sneered, "You think you can participate in the competition? You're really overestimating yourselves!"

He glanced at us dismissively. "I advise you to give up now, so you don't end up losing too badly."

“You only know the outcome when you fight,” I stared at him defiantly, “not when you talk about it.”

Cross's face darkened, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

"Very well, since you're so ungrateful, then don't blame me for being impolite!"

He waved his hand, and his men immediately surrounded him. The atmosphere instantly became tense, and the air was thick with the smell of gunpowder.

Residents nearby stopped in their tracks, watching the conflict with curiosity. I took a deep breath and shielded Su Yao behind me. I knew a fierce battle was inevitable.

In this unfamiliar world, we have no relatives or friends and can only rely on each other.

“Yu…” Su Yao’s voice trembled slightly as she gripped my clothes tightly, as if she were grasping at a lifeline.

I gave her a reassuring look. "Don't be afraid, I will protect you."

I released my spiritual sense, sensing the energy fluctuations around me. Kross's subordinates were all high-level beast tamers, their strength not to be underestimated.

As for Kross himself, he had reached the pinnacle of advanced beast tamer, only one step away from becoming a beast tamer master. This was going to be a tough battle, but I had no intention of backing down.

For Su Yao's sake, and to prove myself, I must fight!

Just then, a voice came from the crowd: "Stop!" The crowd parted automatically, and an old man in a white robe stepped out.

He had white hair but a youthful face, was in high spirits, and exuded a powerful aura.

"Chief Referee!" Cross's men bowed in unison.

The old man walked up to us, his gaze sweeping over us before finally settling on my face.

"Are you contestants from other Beast Taming Realms?" I nodded. "Yes, we're here to participate in the competition."

The chief referee pondered for a moment and said, "Since you're here to participate in the competition, don't cause trouble here. Let's see who's the best on the field."

Cross was somewhat unwilling, but dared not disobey the chief judge's order, so he could only leave with his men in a huff. The crisis was temporarily averted, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

But I knew this was just the beginning. Kross's provocation made me realize that the competition in this unfamiliar world of beast taming would be exceptionally fierce.

I turned to look at Su Yao. Her face was a little pale, but her eyes were unusually firm.

“Yu,” she said softly, “we must win!”

I gripped her hand and nodded firmly. Over the next few days, I began gathering information about our opponents.

I learned that Cross is almost invincible in the world of beast taming. He possesses powerful beast taming skills, superb combat techniques, and rich competition experience.

He was virtually undefeated and hailed as a leading figure among the younger generation. Could such an opponent truly be defeated? My mind was filled with doubt.

He... must have some weakness...
