Beast Taming Star Journey

Chapter 100 A Sudden Change, Beast Taming Frenzy

A colossal mammoth slowly emerged from the depths of the simulated environment. Several times larger than the previous giant bear, its every step causing the ground to tremble violently. Its tusks gleamed coldly, and its eyes were filled with ferocity and savagery. Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of the assessment, and the mammoth vanished. I let out a long sigh of relief, all my muscles relaxing. This assessment was far more difficult than I had imagined.

"Nong Yu, are you alright?"

Su Yao quickly walked to my side and asked with concern. I shook my head to indicate that I was fine.

"I'm just a little tired."

"You did very well."

Su Yao's eyes were full of admiration. "Your command skills and the coordination with your beasts are both outstanding."

I smiled and was about to say something when I suddenly felt dizzy, everything went black, and I lost consciousness... When I woke up again, I found myself lying in a hospital bed.

Su Yao sat on the edge of my bed, looking at me with a worried expression.

"You finally woke up!"

When Su Yao saw that I was awake, a relieved smile appeared on her face.

"What happened?"

I asked.

"You overused your mental energy, which caused you to fall into a coma."

Su Yao explained, "The doctor said you need to rest well."

I nodded and was about to get up when I suddenly heard a commotion outside the window.

"what happened?"

I looked out the window in confusion. The street was teeming with people, who were fleeing in panic. Some beasts were rampaging through the street, letting out deafening roars.

"The beast taming... has gone out of control?"

I stared at everything in disbelief. Su Yao's expression also turned serious.

"It seems that the situation in the simulation has also occurred in reality."

We rushed out of the hospital and joined the chaotic crowd. The streets were filled with terrified screams and the roars of wild beasts.

Some of the smaller beasts had begun attacking the surrounding civilians. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.

This is not the time to panic; I must find a way to control the situation. I released my aura, and a powerful pressure instantly enveloped the surrounding area.

Some of the smaller, out-of-control beasts, upon sensing my presence, briefly ceased their attacks and huddled together, trembling.

The surrounding citizens, seeing this scene, all turned their gazes to me, their eyes filled with hope.

"Don't panic, everyone!"

I shouted, "I am Nong Yu, a high-level beast tamer, and I will protect everyone!"

My voice stood out clearly in the noisy environment, bringing a sliver of comfort to the panicked citizens.

Some citizens began to follow my instructions and evacuate to the safe area in an orderly manner.

However, many more people remained in a state of panic, fleeing in all directions and even blocking rescue routes.

Looking at the chaotic scene before me, I was extremely anxious.

Su Yao walked over to me, patted my shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, we'll solve this together."

Her voice was firm and powerful, which gave me tremendous encouragement. I nodded, my gaze fixed firmly ahead.

Just then, a voice came from the crowd: "Why should we listen to you? Who do you think you are!"

He was a burly man with a face full of scars, and beside him was a huge mastiff that was baring its teeth at me and growling in a low voice.

The burly man pointed at me, spitting everywhere: "Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to order us around? I don't believe your nonsense!"

His words resonated with some of the surrounding citizens, who began to question my identity and abilities, and a sense of panic spread rapidly like a plague.

"Exactly, what if he's a scammer?"

"Given this situation, who knows what to do!"

"My child! My child is missing!"

The cacophony of sounds surged in like a tidal wave, almost overwhelming me. My head throbbed with pain, and my vision began to blur.

A warm hand gripped mine tightly. I turned to look and saw Su Yao.

Her eyes were firm, and her tone was gentle yet full of strength: "Yu, we can definitely do it."

She exuded a reassuring aura, and I felt her trust and support, as if a warm current flowed into my heart.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. Now is not the time to back down; I must take responsibility.

I looked at the burly man and said calmly but firmly, "I am Nong Yu, a high-level beast tamer, entrusted by the mayor to handle this incident. The situation is critical. Please cooperate with me to evacuate the crowd and ensure everyone's safety."

The burly man sneered, "Mayor? Where's the mayor? Let him come out and talk! I don't believe you!"

Just then, a slightly overweight figure squeezed through the crowd and walked up to me, panting.

"I am the mayor. What Nong Yu, the Beast Tamer, said is true. Please cooperate with his work!"

The mayor's appearance calmed some citizens down, but many remained in a state of panic, ignoring instructions and even blocking rescue routes.

Looking at the chaotic scene before me, I was extremely anxious.

“This won’t do,” Su Yao said. “We must first control those out-of-control beasts to stabilize the situation.”

I nodded and said to the mayor, "Mayor, please organize manpower to help us evacuate the crowd, and at the same time contact the beast tamers in the surrounding area to request support."

The mayor wiped the sweat from his brow and quickly agreed. I released my aura again, trying my best to calm the restless beasts.

Some of the smaller beasts gradually quieted down under my pressure, but the larger and more powerful beasts remained out of control, rampaging through the streets and posing a great threat to the safety of the citizens.

I directed the beast tamers around me to form small teams and take control of the out-of-control beasts.

Su Yao also joined the battle. She was agile and skilled in combat, and quickly brought the out-of-control rhinoceros under control.

Time passed second by second. We controlled more and more beasts, but the number of beasts that went out of control also increased. I felt my mental energy being rapidly depleted, and my body began to feel tired.

“This can’t go on,” I said to Su Yao. “We must find the source of the problem to solve it completely.”

Su Yao nodded and said, "I heard that the Beast Taming Research Base in the west of the city is currently conducting a new study. Could it be related to this incident?"

A thought flashed through my mind: the Beast Taming Research Base… I immediately said to the Beast Tamers around me, “Follow me!”

We ran quickly towards the Beast Taming Research Base. The base's gate was wide open, and the inside was a complete mess...
