Faced with being surrounded, I could only try to distract the grasshoppers so that Dafu could escape first, so I provoked the grasshopper with my words.

I looked down at my legs and saw a very thin line of sight on them.

I quickly looked towards the other end of the thread and saw a spider slowly crawling out from behind a cabbage not far away.

Holy crap, how many outside helpers did they hire? Even spiders have been brought in? Is this still a flying competition? It's more like a scorched earth trial.

This has nothing to do with flying anymore, right? It's basically a level-based game!

I was wondering why all those insects were lying motionless on the ground; it turns out a spider had appeared.

Could it be that the spiders used their venom to temporarily knock out all those insects?

How many spiders must have been mobilized? It seems this cabbage patch holds such a fierce trial.

Besides being a maze, there are so many enemies waiting for us. So this competition's first place is really so difficult?

Looking at the grasshoppers and spiders in front of me, I completely resigned myself to my fate. It seemed that this competition was over. I was hoping to finish this competition.

Even if I don't win a prize, at least I can experience the process of this competition. But I never expected it to be so difficult. This is only the second stage and there are already so many insects here.

I imagine those that manage to break through must be the best among insects, but unfortunately, I'm not one of them, so this is where I am.

I lay there on the ground, struggling to see my surroundings, while the grasshoppers and spiders slowly crawled over and completely surrounded me.

"Kid, now you know what our prayers are, right? You were so arrogant before, go ahead and be arrogant then." The grasshopper leader slowly crawled up to me and asked smugly.

I tried to speak, but after opening my mouth a few times, I couldn't say anything. The pain made me gasp for breath, and my tongue started to tremble. I couldn't make a sound at all.

"Say something, you didn't get killed by the fall, did you?" The writer walked over and said smugly.

I could only look at the grasshopper, which meant I wasn't dead yet, but I couldn't move; any movement would cause excruciating pain.

"You're still alive? That's good. We signed an agreement; our job is to stop you. We're responsible for any injuries or deaths." The grasshopper said smugly.

"Stop looking, get some sleep. When you wake up, you'll be a loser. If you want to participate in the competition again, come back next year. But whether you can even make it to next year is another question," the grasshopper said smugly.

"Give him a good whack, let him get some sleep. We have other guys to catch," the grasshopper said to the spider behind him.

Then the spider behind him slowly crawled over and dragged me over with its silk threads. I could see that the spider had two zombie-like pincers in its mouth.

Its body hair was all black and shiny, which instantly reminded me of the giant spider that Harry Potter encountered when he went to the volcano to melt the ring.

Now I understand how the male protagonist felt back then. The worst part is that I couldn't move at all. I could only watch helplessly as the spider dragged me toward its mouth.

As the spider slowly pulled me over, it opened its gaping maw, and I could only resign myself to closing my eyes. Then I felt my whole body go limp.

Then I completely lost consciousness...
