Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 49 Cannot Feel

Finally, I turned into a fly, and only after I came out could I see what Dafu looked like, because I was just too curious.

I hadn't even looked myself over when I was stumped by Dafu's question. How was I supposed to answer it?

How should I answer? No matter what I say, it doesn't seem very convincing.

Just when I was in a dilemma, an ant suddenly crawled over and said, "The Queen summons you."

I was overjoyed to hear this news, and immediately followed the ant to see the Queen first.

Led by the ant, we arrived at the queen's room, where the queen sat quietly on her throne.

"Greetings, Your Majesty," I said with great respect.

Dafu also greeted them respectfully, and the Queen seemed very happy to see them arrive.

"You've finally come out. If we had waited any longer, we would have gone in to check on you," the queen said with a smile.

It's clear we're very happy to have gotten out safely.

"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty," I said gratefully.

After all, the Queen's food and a safe place were essential factors in ensuring a safe exit.

"It's nothing, it's what we should do. Since you haven't come out for a long time, the Cherry Queen has already gone back. But she asked me to tell you that she believes you will come out, because she knows you are no ordinary fly," the queen ant sitting on top said with a smile.

"Thank you for relaying the message, Your Majesty."

"You've come to say goodbye, haven't you?" the Queen said quietly.

"Yes," I answered honestly.

"Yes, I understand. But wherever you want to go, I'm telling you, you're always welcome here. Before you leave, it would be best to say goodbye to the Cherry Queen," the queen said gently, as if giving advice to her child.

“Yes, I had the same idea,” I said.

“Yes, yes, go. I know this place doesn’t belong to you. There are much more to come. Go, but please believe me, you will always be welcome here,” the Queen said.

"I know," I said, deeply moved.

"Yes, go down now. There are many ants waiting for you outside. They will miss you too. Say goodbye to them as well," the queen ant said softly.

"I will."

After saying that, I slowly crawled out. When I came out, the leader ant and the other ants who had fought alongside me were all in front of me, all with reluctance on their faces.

After all, they are brothers who have been through life and death together. Knowing that I was leaving, they all came out to see me off.

"I'm leaving now. Take care inside," I said, feeling very reluctant to part with you.

All I ever did as a human was work with computers, but I never imagined that after turning into maggots, I would have so many brothers-in-arms. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Or perhaps it's irony...

"Take care, Yimao Er. Remember to come back and visit us when you have time, and you can come back if you need anything," said Ant, the team leader, from the side.

"I will."

"If you encounter any difficulties outside, remember to come back. We will always stand by your side."

"Yes, yes, we are your support."

"Can't we stay here? Isn't it nice here?"

The other ants were very kind in trying to persuade me to stay. If it were an ordinary fly, it would definitely stay here, but I have more important things to do.

I was deeply moved by the ants' attempts to persuade me to stay, but I had reasons why I had to leave.

"Thank you all for your kindness, but I have to go. You are my comrades-in-arms and my brothers. I will come back to see you," I said, deeply moved.

"Dafu."

"Ok?"

"Let's go," I said to Dafu. I really didn't want to stay any longer, otherwise I was afraid I wouldn't be able to bring myself to leave.

After saying that, I jumped off the cliff. My original plan was good; under these circumstances, my jump would be as spectacular as a fly soaring through the air.

But what really frustrates me is that I've just become a fly, I haven't even had a chance to adapt to this body, I haven't even flown before.

Forget about soaring through the sky like a fly, I don't even know how to fly, so I just fell straight to the ground.

help...

That's too exciting for them. They really went too far this time. Will they die from falling now that they've turned into flies?

Am I really that pathetic? I'm so embarrassed by my own stupidity. How could I be so reckless when I try to show off?

Just then, a figure rushed down from the classroom and said anxiously, "Quickly flap your wings!"

Damn it, that's when I remembered I had wings. I quickly started flapping them, but after flapping my wings, I started darting around in the air like an out-of-control missile.

"The small wings control direction, the big wings are for flying, pay attention to the rhythm!" Dafu shouted anxiously.

"What's the rhythm? I can't feel it." When I flapped my wings in the air, I just darted around aimlessly; when I stopped flapping my wings, I started falling downwards.

"Feel it with your heart," Dafu said anxiously.

"Feel your own wings with your heart, feel the flow of the wind."

Damn it, I hate it when people tell me to feel things with my heart. What can the heart feel? I'm about to die, how can I feel anything with my heart?

I do feel like my heart is about to jump out of my chest; I suspect my heart will break if this continues.

"I can't feel anything! I can't feel anything at all. I just feel like I'm going to die!" I cried out in a panic.

"Just flap your wings like crazy, use your little wings to control your direction, as long as you don't crash to the ground," Dafu said hurriedly.

I could only try my best to control the wings behind me. What does it feel like to have wings? Right now, controlling my wings feels like controlling my feet to hold a pen.

It felt incredibly awkward and unfamiliar; this was something I'd never done before.

But to survive, I'd do anything I've never done before, even if it meant risking my life. I don't ask for anything else now, I just hope I don't die right now.

Now, even if I pray to Buddha for survival, it's no use. I can rely on myself now.

I started flapping my wings frantically, trying my best to control my direction with my little wings. Finally, just before I was about to fall to the ground, I managed to grasp the basics of flying and was able to fly, albeit barely.

That was so dangerous! How could I forget that I'd never flown before? I almost killed myself.

It's true what they say, if you don't court death, you won't die. If I were to die, I would truly feel incredibly frustrated.

As I slowly took flight, the ants above seemed to breathe a sigh of relief; I guess they were extremely worried.

I flew up and said, "The performance just now was pretty good, wasn't it? Alright, brothers, I'm off now. Until we meet again."

After saying that, Dafu and I flew towards the cherry ant queen's nest...
