Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

After nearly falling to my death, I finally took flight. After saying goodbye to them, I wanted to go back and see the Cherry Ant Queen.

I only found out today that the queen ant has a rather feminine name, Cherry. But before I go there, I want to see the hamsters first.

The little hamster helped us a lot last time, and I wonder how it's been lately. So I flew straight down the tree.

Once inside, the little hamster was happily eating nuts, not only because it had found them, but also because it was extremely happy.

"Does the little hamster still recognize me?" I flew up to the little hamster and asked.

The little hamster clearly didn't recognize me. It glanced at me a few times and continued eating its nuts with disdain.

But suddenly I felt something was wrong. It sniffed at me with its little nose and then looked at me with a puzzled expression.

I bet he was thinking, "This smell is so familiar, I feel like I've smelled it somewhere before, but I'm sure I've never seen that guy before."

"What? Can't remember? I'm 12 cents." I said happily, looking at the cute little hamster.

Upon hearing my voice and smelling my scent, the little hamster immediately looked at me with a puzzled expression, probably wondering why I looked different.

"Hahaha, I'm so glad to see you're alright. I came to say goodbye, but I'll come see you again when I have time." I said happily, looking at the adorable little hamster.

Then it flew outwards...

Dafu followed behind me, and we flew back to where we had been before. After watching the Cherry Queen, I went to find my phone.

And so my journey truly began. Becoming a fly had already accomplished half of my goal; all that remained was to see where that girl was now. Finding her would allow me to turn back into a human.

The crooked tree wasn't far to begin with, and now that we were flying, it was even faster. In the blink of an eye, we were above the Queen's lair.

They spotted us the moment I appeared in the air and thought it was an enemy. I immediately shouted down, "I am Yi Mao Er, don't be nervous, I'm here to see the Queen."

I don't want them to think I'm a bad guy. I look different now, so it's best to introduce myself first to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings later.

"It's 12 cents! It's 12 cents! 12 cents is back! 12 cents isn't dead!" the ants below shouted excitedly, and then some ants went in to report the news.

Soon a large number of ants crawled out. They were all brothers who had fought alongside me, and they looked at me happily. I was also very excited to see them.

Everyone greeted me and chatted with me. I really enjoyed this feeling; it felt like coming home.

"One cent and two cents, is it you, one cent and two cents? Are you back?" Just as I was greeting and chatting with them, a hearty voice suddenly came over.

I looked toward the sound, and there was the soldier who had been protecting us! I saw him excitedly pushing aside the ants blocking our way and crawling toward me.

“It’s me, 12 cents,” I replied confidently.

"It really is you, it really is you! I'm so glad you're not dead, I'm so glad you're not dead!" the soldier said excitedly.

"Don't worry, I'm not dead. I'm not that easy to kill," I said with a wry smile.

"It's alright, it's alright. The Queen is waiting for you inside. Let's go in quickly." The soldier led the way, guiding us inside.

Led by the soldier, we arrived at a magnificent room. It seemed that the post-disaster reconstruction work had been done well, and there was no trace of the place being flooded before.

As soon as we arrived, the door opened immediately, and the soldiers stood respectfully to one side, while I, Dafu, walked inside.

"You've finally come! I knew you'd come back," the queen ant said happily.

"Thanks to the Queen, we're fine," I said politely.

"Yes, yes, you've saved us from danger so many times, we really don't know how to thank you enough. Is there anything you need our help with? We'll do our best to help you," the queen said.

"Actually, there's nothing much to do. We're just here to say goodbye. I'll probably be leaving soon," I said honestly.

"Are you really leaving? Where are you going? Isn't it good here?" the Queen tried to persuade her to stay.

“I have my destiny, and I have my mission. Actually, staying here is quite good, but I have reasons to leave, so I’ve come to say goodbye in advance. I may have to leave here at any time,” I explained simply to the Queen.

"Where are you going? Is there something here that you can find elsewhere?" the Queen asked curiously.

"I don't know where I'm going either. I'll have to find out later, but I'll definitely be leaving this place," I replied.

"Alright, if you want to leave, I won't force you. From the first moment I saw you, I knew you didn't belong here. But I still want to tell you, don't be too hasty. Some things can't be rushed, and you shouldn't force them," the Queen said gently.

"Thank you for your advice, Your Majesty. I will remember it," I said politely.

"Alright, I understand your farewell. You may leave now. You are always welcome here if you encounter any problems," the Queen concluded.

"Okay." After saying that, I slowly climbed out with Dafu.

When I came out, everyone was waiting for me. They all knew I was there to say goodbye, so they all wanted to chat with me a little longer, since I was a brother who had fought alongside them.

I wanted to sit down and chat with them for a while, but all good things must come to an end, and those who are meant to leave must leave. So after chatting for a while, I left.

With Dafu in tow, they flew into the air towards the village. Now it was finally time to find the phone.

If I find the phone, I'll have taken another big step towards victory. Once I find the phone, I can locate the girl's whereabouts, and then I'll have a direction.

Finding that girl would be the key to turning me back into a human. Thinking of this made me extremely happy, and I felt incredibly comfortable flying in the air.

So this is what it means to be able to fly! I've never even been on an airplane before, and I never imagined that I could actually fly directly in the air here. This is something I never dreamed of.

Just as I was enjoying the flight, Dafu suddenly shouted in a panic, "Watch out!"

Then it hurtled towards me at high speed, and we both plummeted towards the ground...
